My iphone screen has lines covering the whole screen and doesn't turn on, however the sound is still working and the phone still rings out and Siri talks the screen just does notwork

Is there a fix that I could do or do I have a defective phone?
Doing a wipe cache partition fixes it for a little bit and maybe an hour later, it's broken again.
I've also tried doing a factory reset with no success.
i think some water went into my xperia neo v n now the screen doesnt turn on. its blanks.. bt other buttons n lights work.

The autoturn option is not working anymore. I've tested the gyroscope, accelerator and they are just fine yet the autoturn is not available for usage. I've also rebooted my phone turned on in safe mode and nothing seems to work.

I would try to unlock on it, I even held the power button to turn it off if possible but it did not budge. The soultion to this was removing the battery out and putting it back in. Would it be cheaper since I have an old 3GS screen that is in perfect condition? I don't live near an Apple store (but willing to make a drive if I can get it fixed while I wait) and don't want to send in my phone to get it fixed.

I brought my iPhone 5s last month, i noticed that my phone have Gray/Black lines at the bottom of the screen, after using more and more the lines grow more and more. Now my Screen is half Covered with those lines.

View 2 Replies View RelatedHitting the power button does not turn the display on. Actually nothing turns the display on. This began happening occasionally, for a few seconds at a time. Then it became a few minutes at a time. Now it is permanent.
What's truly odd is that the phone seems to be completely working otherwise. It rings, alarms go off, indicator lights flash. It connects to my car over bluetooth and if I plug in headphones and hit the play headphones' action button, music starts. If I hold the power button down, every 5s I get a little haptic feedback, and it appears to reboot if I hold power and volume up (or down, I can't recall), so I know the buttons are working.
I even have a suspicion that touchscreen digitizer is working because I think I've dismissed a few notifications by double-tapping (I'm on Lollipop). Also, I swear I have seen very fleeting, very dim views of the unlock screen a few times.
I should also add that I took advantage of Google's recent replacement policy lenience - this is a refurb I've had for a month or two.
I'm contemplating replacing the screen/digitizer on the theory that this is a broken screen. It feels like the backlight is broken. But I'd rather not spend the $$$ and time if the problem is deeper than that.
When my phone rings, the screen doesn't turn on. It's like the screen is off. It's vibrating, ringing, but I can't see who is calling. If I hit the lock/power button then I get the lock screen, I can unlock the phone and answer. This has been happening for the past week or so.

I just install the factory image for lollipop. My screen doesn't turn on when I receive incoming calls. The ring tone will play but the screen remain turned off. I can still receive calls and can hear that the phone is functioning normally (ie. I can swipe the screen as I would normally do to unlock it and I can hear it unlock) but I cannot see any information. Is there a way to reset the display? When it crashes randomly, I see that the whole screen is black with few bright lines and then its turns off immediately, sometime I been able to start it but usually it starts again and crashes the same way again after few seconds or minutes. when its connected to electricity its usually working fine.
I tried the following:
1. Replaced to iOS3 , iOS4, iOS5
2. Replaced the battery twice
3. Replaced the power connector
4. Replaced the power adapter then changed the battery again.
When I replaced the battery it worked for a month before same thing happened again. I have to note that if I am not touching the phone at all, it will stay on till the battery will end. Nothing works! Its Apple I bought it for their reputation and I'm disappointed!

when my phone is asleep and I get incoming notifications whether they be texts, emails, notifications, etc my screen does not turn on briefly to alert me, only the notification light blinks. Is this normal or is there a setting on my phone that is not enabled correctly? I kinda don't like this, I'm use to my phone briefly turning it's screen on when incoming alerts hit my device (coming from an iPhone.)

View 10 Replies View RelatedIt's my boyfriend's iPhone & we've dropped it plenty of times in the past going on 6 months now, so you can imagine it has plenty of cracks & the back had come off to where we taped it back on. Recently - a few days to a week ago I dropped it & it seemed fine until I tried taking a picture of our cats and the camera opened to a black screen. Everything else works fine except the speaker when we call out we have to put it on speaker for someone to hear us - already tried cleaning out all the ports. I don't want him to go to the iPhone store and have them complain about all the issues wrong with the phone and go extreme bill on him either. Yes I have tried restarting his phone, I just don't want to completely reboot it when it's under his mom's account & her iCloud. & The front facing camera works.
