Ok, so it started like two days ago. I tried to send a picture through iMessage and it didn't show, although it did send. Whenever someone sends me a picture it shows for a second and it turns into an empty chat bubble like this:

sending pictures through iMessage? is this a common error?

When I go to send a picture on iMessage it will say "Delivered" and then a few seconds later the red alert pops up saying that the message failed to deliver. I've asked people if they've received my pictures and they say no. The pictures will only send as a text message. The rest of my iMessage messages work just fine though. What's going on?

My iPhone 5 sends and receives text iMessages just fine, but I cannot send any pictures. Â
Whenever I try to send a picture, iMessage indicates at first that the picture has been "delivered". Then, about 10 seconds later, it changes the status to "not sent". The picture never goes through.  I can send the picture as an MMS/Text, just not as an iMessage.Â
I've tried resetting my carrier/network settings, turning off/on iMessage, rebooting the phone multiple times, removing the SIM card and everything else I can think of without any success.
How do I change my iMessage from showing email address and show phone number?

my iPhone will receive iMessages normally if they are just text. However, when someone sends me a picture iMessage it will only send to my iPad, which is connected through my apple account.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIt doesn't say it's not delivered right away but a minute after it was sent. I don't use any other devices for iMessage. I was in a group chat with two other people and they were having the same problem. I've tried resetting my network settings then I reset all settings and it didn't work. I also tried turning off iMessage for a while and it didn't work. What's up with this?

The picture would initially show it was delivered as an iMessage then after a few seconds would show the Not Delivered message. The only way I can currently send an image in a message is as a text.I have tried all the suggestions including wiping the phone and restoring it with no luck.

when I send a picture message to someone with an iPhone 4s who doesn't have wi fi on, the message goes as a text message. This is fine for normal text messages but pictures are expensive to send. Is there any way to set it so it sends normal text messages if the receiver has no wi fi but never sends picture messages as text?

I updated from 4.0 to 5.1 and now when i open my camera roll it says there are no pictures and or videos taken. It says to take pictures click on the camera or whatever. So i do and i take a picture and try an look at it an there is no picture in my camera. I have completely restored it twice, rebooted many times, turned it off an on. I backed up everything after i updated i restored my contacts and such. Anyone know what i can do?

When I toggle these features on in settings, they both say "Waiting for Activation" beneath the toggle. Those goes on for hours, but it never activates. I have reset the phone with iTunes, powered off, done just about everything but through the phone at the wall.

I recently just started having an issue trying to import photos and videos from my iPhone 5s to my 2009 macbook pro. (version 10.6.8). It will connect to my phone, but it will say there are 0 photos to import. I've check and I am updated on both, and I've followed the other steps listed at iOS: Unable to import photos to computer. Â

I updated my iPhone 4 to iOS 5.1 when it was released. My friend updated his iPhone 4S delayed, yesterday. Before yesterday iMessage worked well between our iPhones.But since my friend updated to iOS 5.1 as well, iMessage does not work anymore between our two iPhones.iMessage works well with all other adresses we both use as well.
