BB Software :: How To Show Hidden Pictures On Torch
Jan 19, 2011
I have hidden pictures on my phone. How do you unhide hidden pictures. I have a Torch. A bit hard to use but I just went from a Sony w810 to a Torch there's a learning curve
I have a BB Curve 8520 and under properties chose to hide some pictures & a folder, however there is no option to unhide or show hidden pictures so where have they gone & how do I get them back?
I have a few pictures I'd rather no one saw, so I went to 'pictures' and made a new folder called 'backgrounds' and moved it to there and hid the picture. But now when I try to retrieve the pictures I'm going to media -> explore -> media card -> pictures.but it's not showing my 'backgrounds' folder, so I have no option to show hidden.
I accidentally hidden a picture and i know you have to go to your media folder and click the menu button and you have to click explore, but my explore button has disappeared. i dont know how to see my hidden pictures..i have rebooted my phone and it still hasnt showed up.
Does anyone know how to 'unhide' pictures that I have previously hidden? You can easily hide them by clicking the 'hidden' box under Properties for any picture....but I can't find a way to unhide.
The one thing I don't get is the picture contacts that I have don't show up when the phone is locked, (the caller ID and specific ring tone if used do), they do show up though if the phone is unlocked, so I'm confused. I know there is the caller ID issue that is resolved by un-ticking contacts in encryption which is what I have done otherwise the contact ID's wouldn't show up when locked. It's not the end of the world, but just a niggle that I would like to resolve.
Back story: I set up my hotmail account in my e-mail application and was never getting any e-mails. A friend of mine told me to try using my gmail account instead, so i added my gmail account to the mail app and deleted my hotmail account. i thought everything was going fine when it said that a new icon would appear on my home screen for this mail account. i waited until the little clock/processing thing was finished and pressed 'ok'. when i went to my home screen, no icon...here are the things i have tried so far:- taking my battery out to restart my phone- resetting my theme, resetting my icons in my theme- googling it; all they are telling me to do is to press 'alt+scroll' and select show icons (when i do this the scrolling voids the alt, and also they keep saying the alt key is a crescent moon which it is not for me)- went to my phone service provider and the girl there said she has had this problem before and would call the girl that helped her, and when i came back she said there was some way to 'show/hide icons but it was impossible to troubleshoot over the phone' aka she was absolutely useless.
There are many artists/songs that do not appear in my Music app. I know they're on the iPhone because I'm able to play them using Siri.
Ex. (Billy Joel is nowhere to be found in any of the Music tabs - if I ask Siri "Play Billy Joel" she has no trouble finding it.
I've have even tried doing a factory reset on the phone, and redownloaded all my music. The same issue came up, but with a new group of songs. These songs are not stored in iCloud and are hard files on my iPhone.

I was curious the other day as to if anyone knows of an application to show all applications hidden by SBsettings? I have been hiding more apps recently since I don't want to surpass 2 pages (i have 5 rows) of apps.Is there anything in Cydia that can do this for me?
I tested hiding a folder the other day on my storm2. Once it was hidden the picture I hid was still visible under all pictures? Does anyone know why that is happening?
I have a folder with some icons that I hide in gallery. I updated one of the pictures and wanted to show it again and gallery will not show it.
If I go into gallery and click on hide/show album that album shows with a check mark. I click on done and it displays something like hide/show was applied. However, the album never displays.
I have tried deleting the album and putting it back and it will not display. But if I change the name of the album in file explorer it shows. Is there any way to get the original folder to appear in gallery?
I suppose this could be a problem with the entire 5.0 os lineup but I only own a storm 2 so I don't know. I have a hidden video folder. Once you play one of the videos, it hen shows up in the regular video folder in "media". It's in essence added to the list of unhidden videos. Oddly enough I haven't figured out when they finally disappear.....and they do go away. Don't know if it's on a reboot or what.
i am enjoying the phone, a bb 9700, version 5.0.0.330, platform 5.1.0.91. i have been exploring my phone, and of course i hid some pix from my teens, did what was suggested by others and still cannot find or retrieve. i have created subfolders and dont know which they are in.
Got a problem with my BB curve9300, I already deleted and unhidden all the photos I have on my media card and device but still have this saved pictures and it was all in blank. I can't see anything, but on my media folder It says I have 12 items on picture library.
First off I broke my phone the other day so Im helpless on doing anything with it besides wait for the new one and use the old one as a paper weight. When I connect my Bp to transfer all my pictures and videos it transfers everything but how do I bring up the hidden pictures through my computer to transfer them?
Where can i find my hidden pics in my media card on my bb9700 I hate to do this, but I simply can't figure it out. Yesterday I had some of my files hidden on my phone that I could not access. The files that I want went to the media card when hidden. I've searched google and tried some suggestions, but I still can't find them. First, is there a way to get to the media card directory? People say to go to explore, but I don't have this on my device i even went on my stock theme from att it takes u too explore but it still don't show my hidden pics what gives.
I had created a folder for some of my pictures on my phone and accidentally made it hidden. How do I make it so I am able to see it again? I've tried pretty much everything from options in imaging to settings.
