IPhone 5 :: Lighting To 30 Pin Connector Not Working
Sep 4, 2014
I bought the lighting pin to 30 pin connector. I own an iPhone 5.Â
I connected it to my iPod doc station that is made with a 30 pin default. The doc lights up green when I connect the lighting pin to 30 pin connector indicating that it recognizes it is connected but when I then connect my iPhone 5 to the connector, it won't play music through the doc. It just plays the music through my iPhone speakers.Â
Got an iphone 5 for my son a year ago, the lighting cable stopped working a few months after that, bought another one (apple brand) in best buy, same thing, can I get a replacement from Apple, since is less than a year old?
Just happened this week. The normal lighting that usually come on behind the keys, no long comes on. Gotta have the room lights on to see the keys. Is the machine broke or has a setting be altered?
I'm new to the forums but my pearl flips keypad lighting has completely stopped working. When i turn the phone on there's no lighting behind the keypad, however the main lcd is fine. I've had the phone for about a year, normal wear and tear.My question is if it's possible to get the lighting back? will purchasing a new keypad get the lighting back or is it a main board issue?
my blackberry 9300 3g screen isnt working but keypads are lighting up and red light is flashing but i kept on charge then it lit up and the screen went on but was flickering but then the phone turned off i have looked on the internet and thought it was somthing to do with the dust but i dont know?
Since the dawn of time (almost) Apple has used the 30-pin connector, which was originally used for laptop docking stations, and of course the iPhone inherited that port. Now, I can see why they have it on the iPhone since almost every portable Apple products use it and that's good for accessories like sound systems and various other products. Now, I remember hearing about a new phone standard for cables/chargers with all parties using the same port. Apple among others have joined. So, what's gonna happen to the 30-pin connector? Are there any real benefits of using the 30-pin connector over a USB solution, like micro USB?
I took my phone to the Apple store to have the 30 pin connector looked at. They said there was corrosion on the connector and that was affecting the charging. I'm considering using contact cleaner from Radio Shack. I'm looking for ideas on how to apply it and clean the contacts in such a small space.
After noticing that my normal cables aren't working right, (I usually use a dock) I've been trying to figure out why. Finally found the cause. The dock is faulty. Pic's are at the bottom. The right side of it is pushing up more as you can see in the pics. It's firmly in that position, doesn't wiggle or anything and the phone still charges and music can be played using the dock. But the normal cables are all acting really dodgy now. If u push them in they'll connect for a second while your pushing and then disconnect when you let go... This has been getting worse and worse and obviously the dock has slowly been damaging the connector inside the phone.
I was just curious because I was looking in there to check my liquid indicator (still white thank god) and I noticed two weird scuff-like markings and I was wondering is it my apple cord scratching the inside of my connector or is it common? So I ask that everyone check and see if there are friction scuffs on yours as well.
I have a 3G running version 3.1.2 and I am JB. My question is will this phone support video out from the dock connector? I have P90X ripped on my phone and I would like to plug it into the tv in the gym. Will the phone do this and if not is there a JB app that will alow that?
i dropped my 4gs and cracked the screen at the top. now, the screen is black and whenever i press the sleep button, all i see is gray. what is wrong with it, and how do i fix it ? please help ):
My iPhone 5.0 is repeatedly going blank, lighting up with a white background and a black apple logo, displaying stripes and different colors and going blank again. I can't access any of my apps or use my phone. I've tried turning the phone off and on. I've also tried holding down the power and menu button together. The problem is persisting.Â
I was looking at the Samsung Data/Power connector, but I don't recognize it. Is it proprietary? Is there a name for it? It does not look like a mini or micro USB to me.
My phone stopped charging one day so I sent it in to Sony. They sent it back saying "physical damage, glue on connector broken".Now this phone is only a few months old.It has never been dropped or anything. If there was any damage to the connector, it came from plugging it in in a normal manner. So I called them back up and said that there is no way I caused any damage to the phone. The customer service person said that he would resubmit it and that I would hear back from them in 24 hours.
3 days later after hearing nothing, I called them and the guy told me that nothing was ever resubmitted and that they don't even do that.SO Sony sold me a phone that broke under 2 months of normal use, refuses to fix the problem, and then told me something completely untrue just to get me off the phone. That being said, has anyone had the glue break on their phone and is there anyway to fix it? I could deal with doing the battery swap and recharge thing but I really want to be able to update to gingerbread.
I've been Googling to try to find an adapter or cable to connect to the internal antenna port on the PCB, but I don't know what the industry terminology for such a connector is, so I don't even know what to Google. Can someone tell me what I need and/or point me to a site where I can buy it? My phone has no external antenna port and an inductive adapter/cradle is not good enough. Yes, I will be very careful and provide strain relief, etc., when I hook it up.
Unless I am missing something completely, I have nothing shown under "Artist" or "Genre", and since I don't maintain playlist in iTune, I can't sync that either. What does this mean? does that mean all my content are copyright protected? Or something not set up right?
The local Nokia repair store says my 3-month-old Lumia has a "broken" USB connector. This seemed so outrageous that I searched and found this forum with several similiar complaints hidden in other threads. The symptom is that the phone won't charge... which is similiar to several other software related problems. However, to reduce confusion, let's please focus this thread on broken/damaged USB connectors. If your phone won't charge, you can check if you have a broken USB. Just look at yours in comparison to a USB connector on a different phone. I believe this is a manufacturing/part failure in the Nokia. I did not damage my phone. Another poster's phone had this same problem directly out of the box. Another user was eventually successful in getting Nokia to replace his phone. (My local service center wants €290 + 23% IVA to repair what I did not break.)
I would like to be able to charge my XOOM using a micro usb connector, but the XOOM has some sort of round connecter. Are there any converters available?
This morning my screen will not stay off. Every few seconds it lights up for 10 seconds or so. It's completely frustrating. I've uninstalled every app I can think of that would have anything to do with custom notifications, screen lighting or the lockscreen with no success.
Between this and the phantom mail alert sound I can't kill I'm about to reset it factory defaults and set it up one app at a time to ensure I get it right.
While my phone is asleep (or whatever you call it) it keeps lighting up about every 3 min. for about 2 seconds and then it goes out. There are no new notifications or anything it has just been recently doing this for the past week. Is it an app or setting that I was unaware of that I have done?? How can I get it to stop??
