Nov 29, 2011I have been having a few problems with my phone lately. Sometimes when I start the unit up in the morning no icons appear on my home screen although when I go into my apps they are all there. I would have to restart the phone a couple of times before everything would appear. Now I seem to have a permanent problem the touch sensitive buttons on the bottom of my phone for getting to the settings and the 'back' button do not light any more, but they do function.

Apr 19, 2014Now - I know this isn't a major issue but it bothers me that this does not work. I have set up the settings so they are -supposed- to remain on at all times but alas they are lightless. I've done soft resets, pulled the battery, plugged it into my computer and the wall, BUT the buttons still work.

Jun 4, 2014My phone has been acting up since installing the latest iOS 7.1.1. The back lighting for the screen works intermittetly. I have been able to get it to come back on by turning the phone off and back on, but not every time. Once I enabled VoiceOver through Siri and turned ScreenCurtain On and Off. Other times, just clicking the home button and a few times on a notification that would turn the back lighting on. The phone seems to want to respond to turning the back lighting on, but does not do it every time it should. It usually takes 10 - 30 minutes of me working with it to get it to come back on. The phone has not been dropped and is in an Otterbox case.

I connected it to my iPod doc station that is made with a 30 pin default. The doc lights up green when I connect the lighting pin to 30 pin connector indicating that it recognizes it is connected but when I then connect my iPhone 5 to the connector, it won't play music through the doc. It just plays the music through my iPhone speakers.Â

HTC One M7 :: Screen Keeps Lighting Up For 10 Seconds Or So
May 10, 2013This morning my screen will not stay off. Every few seconds it lights up for 10 seconds or so. It's completely frustrating. I've uninstalled every app I can think of that would have anything to do with custom notifications, screen lighting or the lockscreen with no success.
Between this and the phantom mail alert sound I can't kill I'm about to reset it factory defaults and set it up one app at a time to ensure I get it right.

Sep 26, 2011i've had a torch 9800 since last Christmas, and it's been working fine (with the occasional battery pull, of course). but now i have a strange problem. in the last couple weeks, i've noticed that the back arrow and the red key to the right of the trackpad no longer have a light showing behind them. (nor does the trackpad, but i don't remember if it ever did light up) it's not really a problem, as they still work, but it looks really weird!i have tried a battery pull many times, to no avail. and i also tried installing a brand new os, but likewise had no success with that method. in any case, it is now running the newest os possible (6.0 bundle 1907, v6.0.0.448). it's also running 3G, if that matters.

Jun 20, 2012I have a HTC Desire C running Android 4.0.3 (ICS), originally on 3 Network, but unlocked to all networks.
The problem I have is that the home Keys do not light up. Proximity sensor works
fine, If I cover the sensors to the right of the HTC logo, the screen goes dark,
If I use the phone in the dark, the screen dims as it should but the keys do not
light up.
I've downloaded a few apps to test the sensors & the values changes on proximity & light sensors as I cover them so I know the sensors are good.
I've checked that Auto Brightness is enabled, I've disabled it & enabled it several times, works fine in different light levels as it auto adjusts - rebooted phone with battery out etc & cannot get them to light up.
Other than taking it back to the store. Was thinking of trying to reload the phone without 3's custom software on it to see if it's something in their ROM.
