IPhone 4s Won't Turn On Even After Holding Two Buttons
Jun 4, 2014
I woke up to my iphone not turning on. First i thought it was the plug. Plugged it into my wife charger turned on but said to plug into itunes.. I have done that and now it wont turn back on.. I have done the two button reset. Still nothing
It has been acting up the past few days, randomly turning itself off, and I am trying to get it to turn back on. Randomly it will turn back on when I push the power button, but is unresponsive when doing all the reset combos. Today it turned itself off while sitting on the table at home. I have not been able to get it back on and its been about 6 hours now, and its been plugged in to the wall charger the whole time. If I take it to apple, can they pull the serial number off for warranty purposes?
Taking a screen shot requires holding the power and volume down buttons for a few seconds. Couldn't it be done by just pressing them? Also, it should take the screen shot when the buttons are released. As it is now, everytime I force a reboot, I also take a screen shot.
I have a problem with my flashlight. When I just bought it (about a week ago), it was working fine. Hold the lock/unlock key for a few seconds and it turns on, do it again and the flashlight turns off. Now this suddenly doesn't work anymore, and I don't know how to get it back. I'm not sure when this happened, but I think it might have something to do with installing Belle...
I was at a party and used my phone for a few minutes 4 hours ago and there was no problem. Battery was 78%. After a while I realized my phone was not turning on. After coming back home I connected it to the wall charger and the light is blinking red. When I hold the start button there is a red light constantly but it won't turn on. Holding volume up and start button also doesn't work and there is no vibration. I tried the yellow reset button near the SIM tray and that didn't work either. My phone had a 16 GB built in memory which was pretty used up (It kept telling me transfer to SD card since memory was above 75%). I was going to buy a microSD card for it but now this happened. Is there something I can do to fix my phone?
why the buttoms next to the track pad don't turn off, I lock the phone and they keep on. And keyboard light doesn't turn on. I pull out the battery and this doesn't fix it.
I have the Nokia 920 phone from Rogers in Canada. I have been using it for a 4 weeks now and suddenly when it was on the lock screen won't show up just the background without the clock, wifi, 3G or any other icons showing. After that when the screen timed out I can't get it to wake up anymore. When I get a text, call, email it doesn't vibrate. The volume, power or camera buttons don't wake it up. The screen doesn't light up or the touch keys. Does anyone one of a solution or has seen this before? I still have a 60% battery so won't be able to try until tomorrow until the battery dies. Plugging it into USB, I can see the phone on the computer.
Contrary to the posts I've seen (buttons do not turn ON), my issue is the inverse (buttons do not turn OFF). My HTC One's Home and Back buttons are always lit, even if I turn off the device.
Is this a hardware or a software problem? Could there be something I can install to fix it, i.e. like a missing driver?
This is a brand new phone, and out the box, the capacitive buttons are off. When I turned it on, the lights were behaving fine and after using it for quite a few hours, I decided to reset the phone again since I wanted to set it up from scratch.
Oddly I've noticed this just today. My Lumia 900 buttons never turn off where as they would turn off after x amount of seconds when screen is active. I find this annoying because:It would definately cause my battery to drainI don't really need to see the buttons lit alwaysI'm sure this is part of the latest software release for Nokia Lumia 900 is SW 2175.2301.8779.12223 because I restored to previous firmware and this issue wasn't present.
My VOL and CAM buttons turn the unit ON [original "droid" (year and a half old) ]... as a result it is almost impossible to keep phone off in my holster and so it drains quickly and then NO phone!I looked in "settings" for the phone (globally) and found something about "accessibility" which is OFF (unchecked). "Power button ends call" = checked. But that'sit. Nothing on how to control those two buttoms.
I went to check my phone last night and I couldn't get it to turn on. The only way is to take the battery out and put it back in. Then the home screen pops up with Unlock, Emergency and Cancel screen like normal (because I have a password) but then the track pad and none of the buttons work so I am stuck on that page with no way to get out. I've tried plugging it in to the charger and I've tried plugging it in to my desktop manager but seems to work?
Seems like the brightness of the capacitive buttons on the Lumia 1520 with the Denim update stays on high. The buttons seem much brighter in low light. Is there a way to turn off or reduce the brightness for the buttons?
I am having a problem with all of the hard buttons turning my screen on. With Froyo, only the power button and home button would turn the screen on. Now any of the buttons can activate the screen making it too easy for the screen to come on, running my battery down.
Is there any way to turn this feature off?? This is getting very frustring to have it vibrate and it's not even discreet (it sounds like a loud buzzing noise on the other end). The person on the other line keeps asking what's that buzzing sound? This ISN'T a feature, in fact it's annoying to people I talk to on the phone and frustrating that I have to tell the other person everytime it's the phone vibrating. It does not make any difference in my life if it vibrates when I press the home, menu, return or search buttons.
here is jonathan ive from apple talking about apple design philosophy (go to 1:00 in the video if you want a real laugh!). granted it is a promo video for ipad, but it still is funny given the issues with iphone 4 and the "don't hold it that way" emails from steve jobs.
transcript: "there is no right or wrong way of holding it. i don't have to change myself to fit the product. it fits me!" http://www.Internet.com/watch?v=2l6gx...ature=Internet_jump to 1:02
Just wondering how many people were holding off getting the iP4 due to reports about signal issues etc? Holding off buying iP4 til signal issue resolved
Anyone knowns any remedy for my Iphone 4 not holding charge with its charger. I tried charging another iphone with the same charger and it is working ok so it is not the charger that is at fault. Is there anything I can do or change in the settings maybe?
I have an iphone 3G that I got in September last year. In the last few weeks it has stopped holding a charge. I will leave for work in the morning with 100% charge and by 2:00 the phone is out of charge and turns off. I don't use it, apps are closed and wi fi is off. Why is in not holding charge? What can I do?
If you hold a Bold, Eris, etc they don't LOSE ALL DATA connectivity like the iPhone 4 does.It is a design flaw and all the smoke and mirrors is total ********.
Got my IPhone on Monday and I haven't had any problems until today when i grabbed my phone and i heard a cracking noise coming from behind the the device. Its only when I apply very little pressure to the back with my fingers or when I am touching the screen from the front. Everything works fine still but the noise is getting me concerned.
I just tapped on a song within my music and noticed that a little tab popped up, it looks like maybe it could be for creating a ringtone from the song?
I'm an iphone 3G and since it was purchased was no longer holding charge, is fairly new, it was never used properly, since the battery lasts less than 3 hours ..
