IPhone :: 4s Not Holding Charge With Charger?
May 31, 2012Anyone knowns any remedy for my Iphone 4 not holding charge with its charger. I tried charging another iphone with the same charger and it is working ok so it is not the charger that is at fault. Is there anything I can do or change in the settings maybe?

I will leave for work in the morning with 100% charge and by 2:00 the phone is out of charge and turns off. I don't use it, apps are closed and wi fi is off. Why is in not holding charge? What can I do?

Aug 21, 2014I bought an iPhone 4s in November 2013. The phone is through Sprint. (didn't know if that made a difference or not.) In the past 7 months the phones apps have been opening & shutting right down, the app might stay on for 2 minutes if you're lucky. It started out with my Facebook app shutting down, then it progressed to other apps & the repeated random shutdowns have been getting worse. The phone itself overheats without even being plugged into the charger. The Safari is now beginning to close randomly. I called my carrier & they said that they could run a diagnostics test on my phone to see what's making it do what it's doing. Since the phone has been shutting down & randomly shutting apps off for over 7 months, they've ruled out the option of it being a bad software through Apple.

BB Bold :: Its Not Holding Charge
Jan 13, 2012I have a BB Bold 9900. I have had it less than 3 months. Right from the start I couldn't get more than 24 hours from a single charge, even if I refrained from known "drainers" such as WiFi, Internet Browsing and Games. Now I can barely get 12 hours out of a single charge.It doesn't seem to matter if I use my phone a lot or not at all the battery runs down just as fast.

Dec 26, 2012I bought this phone for my son for Christmas and despite having it on charge for a few hours it still shows that there's 56% battery charge then once you unplug the charger the phone won't turn on, completely dead! Tried to check software but when I plug it into laptop it just says device unplugged, the only time I got it to recognise it it was unable to find device driver software. Must admit its completely put me off this phone before we've started, I champion Nokia all the time but wish I'd bought him an iPhone now!!

Feb 3, 2012I upgraded my phone software to 6.0 Bundle 2949 last weekend and since then I am having to recharge my phone 4 to 5 times a day. As soon as I open facebook, camera ect the battery completely dies and turns it's self off.This morning for example it was fully charged - had charged over night. Left for work at 7:30am, took one phone call - 5 mins, sent 2 texts. By 10:30am my phone had switched it's off. It's driving me mad and I can't be without my phone as I am pregnant and need it to get in touch with partner etc.Now I onlu upgraded the software because the battery wasn't holding it's charge but it was 100% better than it is now.
I have read through threads and have removed the battery repeatedly and even left it out.Removed the SD card and sim card and nothing. In fact in last an hour after charging it for the second time today and I never even used it!I am not technical but I desperately need help!!Is it worth trying to downgrade the software? - if so is there a dummies guide to this? Do I return it to o2 for them to see if there is other problems with it?I have shut down all apps other than the ones that remain there at all times. I check this regularly especially if the battery loses charge quickly. I am finding that it is fully charges within 20 mins from the battery being completely drained (turning it's self off) to being fully charges.I still have 9 months left on my contract before I can upgrade but I can't cope with it like it is now. I love blackberry but after the problems with this one am tempted to switch!| have also noticed that the desktop software has upgraded too!

Feb 26, 2012My BB Torch 9800 on my AT&T network is constantly not holding any battery charge, it's constantly dying on me even though I constantly have in plugged into a car charger or a wall charger at all times, it also started to reboot itself and then once its complete it reboots itself again and again and again. I've tried leaving the battery out for 15min and then trying to reboot it again, that does nothing. I've gone into the Options section under Device and disables the Compression, that did nothing, I've check the CPU Usage for the day and the week nothing is really eating the power up. I have also held down the menu button and switched off all my apps in there and still no better.

Received an email at 11:03 on 8/27 that the problem with the phone is not covered under the warrantee and to contact Motorola as soon as possible to authorize and pay for the repair. I agreed to pay $125 plus tax to repair the screen as long as the overheating and battery not holding a charge was looked into. Today I called to see what was going on and was advised that she (rep) has no idea and would send an email and get back to me within 24-24 hours. I advised that was not acceptable and I was sent to the Repair Escalation Department, Curtis advised me the exact same thing and when i explained that my phone has been with Motorola since 8/24 and they have had my payment since 8/27 and that originally I was advised that the repair would be done and the phone back to me within 5 business days and we were now at 8 and I needed to speak to a supervision he stated that he was the supervisor and there was no one above him to talk to. Someone please explain how I am getting the same exact information (none with a 24 to 48 hour wait time) from customer service and the Repair Escalation Department?

Jun 3, 2014My iphone 4 suddenly died last night even though it said it had about 40% power. When I plug it in, it turns back on but will not connect to anything (no internet, and I can't call or text). As soon as I unlpug it, it turns off, and sometimes when it is plugged in it either says it has 0% or 100% charge. After about 60 seconds of being plugged in it turns off and restarts. It won't start up fully when I plug it into my computer, it just shows the Apple symbol before shutting off again. I am thinking this is a hardware issue. Is it possible that the battery is so drained (since it won't hold charge), even when it is plugged in, that it doesn't even have the power to connect to the internet or call or anything? I have had this phone for about 1.5 years.Â
Important note: I had it fixed about 2-3 weeks ago when the whole front piece of the phone was shattered when it was run over by a car, lol. Even in that state, the phone continued to vibrate when recieving calls, and when the front piece and home button were replaced everything was working except for the camera. Maybe some internal damage is just now catching up to the phone?

Jan 21, 2012I have a BB Bold 9780. It is one year old. Recently it started suddenly dying, saying the battery is drained, when it hits 50% battery charge indication. It gives one low battery warning beep and the battery level indicator goes to red before it shuts down. I bought a new battery, but I have the same problem. I have a friend with the same phone and he said he has the same problem. I'm not sure, but I think the problem started after I did the last firmware update. I am running 6.0 bundle 1879 (v6.0.0.448, platform 6.5.0.136).
