BB Curve :: Cannot Turn On 8530 - Trackpad And All Buttons Frozen

I went to check my phone last night and I couldn't get it to turn on. The only way is to take the battery out and put it back in. Then the home screen pops up with Unlock, Emergency and Cancel screen like normal (because I have a password) but then the track pad and none of the buttons work so I am stuck on that page with no way to get out. I've tried plugging it in to the charger and I've tried plugging it in to my desktop manager but seems to work?

Any other 8530 users having an issue with the trackpad finish coming right off?It looks like there is a plastic film on the trackpad to begin with. It appears it's just flaking right off. It's about 80% gone right now.
Trackpad is working fine. Haven't been able to find much info on this..

I downloaded an application for my phone, and now its completely frozen. I cant use any keys, nor my track pad. It wont even recognize it on my computer. Yet when the back light goes out and I press a button. The screen lights back up, but I still cant use any buttons. I have tried taking my battery out loads of times, but it doesn't seem to work, I have even left the battery out for a couple of hours and that still hasn't worked.

I have a 6 month old phone that has never been wet. Today for no apparent reason all the buttons stopped working. The trackpad can be used to scroll back and forth across the home screen till the screen fades due to inactivity.

my blackberry curve usually works perfectly fine but in this last week its been crashing a lot.. & for hours on end! The only thing I can do is scroll, I can't press the trackpad in, use the keyboard, or any other buttons just scroll.

For some reason, the A/Lock key and trackpad on my Curve 8530 are acting weird. It's as if I accidentally touched some series of keys that has now cause those two things to malfunction.The A/lock key isn't working at all. So I literally cannot type the letter A. As for the trackpad, it works fine on the home screen, but when I go into Menu, the trackpad will not scroll to the various applications/folders unless I hold the shift key while I scroll. If I pull up an application like Facebook, the scroll key doesn't work at all. But if I go into my email, I am able to scroll through the list of message and can scroll within individual messages themselves.I thought that if I completely wiped my BB and went back to factory settings that might restore things, but since my A key doesn't work, I can't type the word "blackberry" in order to confirm the wipe.

The letter key "L" will not work when pressed, and seems like there is some sort of delay with that letter. Sometimes when it is pressed, it does compute the letter but multiple time and with about a 5 second delay. Most of the time it won't work at all.Now, the trackpad also does not work right. It will scroll up ,down,left, and right at home screen, but will not do any of that in the BB menu or apps like Facebook. I can use it properly in the viewing of scent calls and viewing of recent texts. But once I open a text I cannot scroll again.There is a way around all that, if I hold down the alt key I can scroll again, but of course my letter al is not working.

I've had the Curve 8530 for a few weeks now. Up until yesterday the trackpad was working correctly. The problem I am now having is that when I press the trackpad to open a link online nothing happens. I have to open the menu and click on Open Link. The trackpad works correctly in all other places except opening a link online. Is there a trackpad setting that I may have turned off by mistake?

After doing a few battery pulls its still not working.I've done some searching now for about an hour and comming up empty handed. I have a friend with an 8520 Curve from I-Wireless. After a couple days of using it his trackpad stopped. Now to me from reading it seem that most problems lie with the 8520 series and also seems that its a software issue as a batt pull will fix it for abit. Will updating to os 5.0 beta fix this problem or does the problem lie elsewhere?

hi just recently, the letter "a" on my 8520 wont respond and sometimes my trackpad will freeze on me. and if i leave any of my keys untouched for more than 20 seconds i would have to press down on a key to get a response from the phone. im running a .681 but ive only heard good things from it. any suggestions/ideas to whats causing the problem ?

I downloaded my lookout virus scanner.Worked great.Did an upgrade from BBapp world and after reboot it starts and the application permission pops up and everything is frozen. My animated screensaver is moving in the background and if I press the alt or caps key the symbol comes on and off but nothing moves and I cant do anything. The phone signal never turns on and the time freezes to when it first starts. I have pulled the battery atleast 20 times and have done the alt caps del reset a bunch too. I email the company of the program and filed a help request but it being the weekend I think Im screwed with them. Can anyone help me out how to get around this I just wanna get my phone back this has been all afternoon.

i have forgotten the unlock code for my BB curve 8530. It was freezing up and after hard restart would only go to device locked screen and allow me to switch betwe3en the choices but then would not go to screen i chose. Have downloaded the desktop software and been prompted for the unlock code. Should i have some confirmation code documentation that may have been sent to me, because i cant seem to find any. I bought the phone used and cant remember if i had to have the code to activate it or not this phone now belongs to my teenage daughter and we all know what a teenager w/o a working phone is like to be around!

Is there any way to turn off the suggested text box that pops up when im texting on the Curve 8530? This is annoying. This is not the autotext feature that changes preset words like dont to don't. Its the box that pops up for instance when you type yay.

Was wondering if anyone else had this problem and how they fixed it. I had my phone in my pocket today for about 30 minutes and when I went to take it out none of the buttons were responsive the only thing that worked was the track pad. I tried pulling the battery and restarting but still the same outcome only the trackpad was functional. I have the blackberry 8530.

My blackberry torch was recently giving me a hard time using a few of the letter keys, I decided to let it sit overnight, this morning it's even worse I can't use the centre key to scroll or click on anything and non of my other keys work. I've only had this blackberry for about a month. Nothing that I do seems to work to reset it

i have a blackberry curve 8530. it was messin up so i pulled the battery like i normally do. only this time it wont turn on. it goes to the loading screen like normal getes about a 16th across then blacks out ands starts all over again. i took it to my local phone store and they had never seen anything like that befor.

i droped it off the couch today, and i must say its been through alot worse, but the battery fell out , so i put it back in and it starts up fine, but on the loading screen when turning on, like that loading bar, when it gets full it just stops and does nothing, and on ocassions goes to the rogers screen but then stops working, and i have no idea what to do, iv tried pluging it into the computer but it wont connect to the blackberry device softwear because its not on

I have a Curve 9300 with OS 6. I cannot return the device to the original retailer (out of warranty).This is kind of what happens.
1.)Trackpad stops scrolling after backlight switches back on. After waiting 10 seconds it works ok
2.) After an hour or so the trackpad stops scrolling entirely. The "push button" of trackpad still works though.
3.) I hard reset the device. Trackpad stops working entirely (doesnt scroll and pushing it as a button does not work either)
4.) I send phone in for repairs.
5.) If it works after "cleaning and reseating trackpad" my phone works fine for a few days. Then problem starts all over again.
6.)If cleaning does not work, they replace my trackpad. This usually works for a few weeks to a month. Then the problem starts all over again?I am getting sick of having the phone getting sent in for the trackpad to just be replaced again and again.

I recenty cleared my phonne with the alt+lglg and cleared some other history stuff, and i seen a thing for memory cleaner and i enabled it and i figured that might save me some time, it prompted me before i closed it that memory cleaner would run when the phone had been rebooted and something else. but now my phone has been rebooted and it wont turn on it just keeps restarting over and over and over again. i left it over nihgt hoping it would be working in the morning and it still rebooted all night.

i bought a unlock code for my brother, he have a curve 8520 gemini, i unlock it like i have done before, and i turn the device off, to prove the it will work with my sim card, after i change it, i put the baterry, and it wont turn on!, what happend here! it just turn on the red light and then does nothing else

Does anyone know how to turn off the menu that seems to just pop up out of no where it is a straight line that runs across the middle of the screen? how can I turn off the keyboard from lighting up, when the device screen is on. I don't want the keyboard light to turn on when I'm using the device because it wastes battery. And my second and most important question is, why is the battery life so poor? My curve battery get's me through one day, and all I do is SMS, facebook, and IM. I don't use it 24/7 during the day either. I've had to charge it every night! Do I have to give the battery time to be "broken in"?
