IPhone 4s :: Possible To Make Two Different Backups For One Device?
Jun 17, 2014
So, here is the problem: i got an 8 gig 4, and since for now i didn't have enough money to buy, which i would like to have, a 64 5. I found out recently that social medias are wasting my memory, which also a problem that we can't delete caches. I'm just curious that if we can do more than one backup files from one device?
Just got an iphone 6 and am trying to set up with back up from icloud (iphone 5). Backups won't download as iphone 6 is on ios 8.0.2 and iphone 5 on ios 8.1.1Â I had followed instruction to make sure iphone 5 upto date before I did a back up to cloud to use. This shows that my software is upto date on ios8.1.1.
Is it possible to restore from more than one backup? Basically, I want all the info from my 2 previous iPhones (3G & 3GS) onto my current one (4S). They are all backed up and I can see the backups if I click on "restore from backup". I'm just not sure if it's possible to get all the info from those backups + my current one onto my 4S phone.
I bought the iPhone 4S the other day, but my mother had already the iPhone 4. When I connected my new iPhone 4S to the computer, I restored it from my mother's iTunes backup. After that, as I didn't wanted to have her contacts, I deleted them all. Some moments later she told me she had no contacts anymore, too. Then I realized my fatal error, as we both had our iPhones in the same iCloud account I had deleted all contacts in her phone too.
To solve this problem I restored her iPhone 4 in my computer, but then again something went wrong. Her iPhone was restored with a very old backup, so she was missing some new contacts and photos.
I was thinking about restoring her iPhone from an old iCloud backup (one from one week ago) so she can have her phone like it was before I did all this mess (that was about three days ago), but when I try to do that from her iPhone I can only see the last 5 backups that are from yesterday or two days before, but I need an OLDER backup. how to restore an iPhone from an older iCloud backup?
I'm one of those people who forgot the password for their encyrpted iphone backups ... BUT luckily I found that out BEFORE I had the actual need to restore my iPhone from said backups.
Now I'd like to start a new set of backups from my phone, this time WITHOUT the encryption so I won't run into any troubles when I actually need them.
Howevery, even after deleting all old backups in iTunes I still can't uncheck the "encrypt backup" box. Is there any way of getting a fresh start on backups?
I just bought a 4S today. I have already backed up my 3GS to iCloud - I can see the backup in the iCloud setting of both my 3GS and iPad 3. However, when I choose to restore from an iCloud backup on my 4S (fresh out of the box), it tells me no backups are available?
i have several older iPhone backups (large 28g each mostly pictures)Â in itunes on my internal hard drive. I want to keep them. How do I move them to a backup drive?
I have had to replace my iPhone 4S twice this week (long story). I made sure in both cases that I was backed up to iCloud before I replaced the phone. I triple checked to make sure the last back up date/time, backed up again and can see the backups when I login to iCloud online, but when I try to restore from back up it has told me BOTH times that no iCloud backup is available?
I am trying to set up my new iphone 6 plus (ios8.0.2 out of the box) from an icloud backup of my iphone 5 (ios 8.1.1.)Â
The backups is incompatible as the new phone is at a lower ios than the backup "no icloud backups are compatible with the version of ios (8.0.2) on this phone"Â
here they are saying that there are two different itunes 9.1.1 a 11 and 12. apparently the 12 doesn't have problems with back up.o and if it loads weird just hit the translate button again to fix it.
Okay a while back I encrypted my iPhone 3G's backups, but the password I THOUGHT I used doesn't work. I've tried every password I can think of and it won't allow me to uncheck the 'Encrypt iPhone Backup' checkbox to turn off the encryption. Is there anyway to get rid of this? I don't care about loosing the backups. This setting must be saved on the iPhone, since it keeps the setting if I goto a new PC (my usual system is a Mac) and plug the phone in. Is the data actually encrypted on the iPhone when you use this setting? So, I could probably do it by reformating my iPhone and setting it up as a brand new device, but is there anyway to avoid that?
Need to restore my events in Week Cal from a backup. How do I find the dates of my recent backups? All my calendar events still appear on the hotmail frontpage. But I don´t know how to sync them back to my Week Cal.
OK, the whole point of locking your device is to keep people from seeing your info or using your phone, right? So why does my Ozone show new text messages on the screen when the device is supposedly "locked"? Is there a way to not show that info?
I have a torch 9800 and Curve 8900 and over time I have created backups on my PC. I now need to give the PC back and am unable to remove the backups.
When I try and delete the .ipd files it says "you need permission of administrator to make these changes." I am using Windows 7 and to my knowledge have full administration.
I am using Torch 9810 and I am facing problem during backing up my data through BB Desktop Software.Backup start smoothly but in the process it stops automatically and its gives Error saying "Cable is not connected Properly or make sure device is switched on".Same cable works fine while charging or transfering data from phone to pc or pc to phone.Everything works fine except the backup.
Do I need to backup data in order to be able to revert back to my stock Rom? My understanding is that if I did a backup of the System, Boot, EFS, and Cache then I should be fine. Only gripe is that my Apps and app data will be lost. Is that correct?
.. just bought s6 today very happy .... transferred my whatsapp folder from old fone to this one but when started whatsapp .. it started without verifying which is good but it didnt restored my earlier chats
I'll be updating to 5.1.1 later and wondered what the best way to restore my S6 (SM-G920F). I'll be backing up different ways where each backup does it slightly differently.
I have
1. Samsung backup set up via the backup/restore options
2. Google sync via accounts and backup via backup/restore options
3. Helium backup "carbon" folder copied to my PC
Which is the best to restore from? Is there a certain order i should do it? Can i ignore any of the options listed above? I only ask this as Helium is denied backup to certain apps e.g. WhatsApp etc.
I want to use go backup to backup my phone numbers and apps but when I choose memory card,It gives me error and it says ''No contacts or no permission to read''.
Ive held off, but before I update to 5.1, I figured I'd ask before running into problems..Im able to navigate to the TWRP folder when in recovery and restore backups, though the folder is nowhere to be found when looking with a file manager.I've used Astro, Amaze and Cabinet file managers and the TWRP folder is missing. I did notice a file named TWRP, but it does not open and is not a folder. How can I get the folder back to manage my backups?
i had a torch 9810 previously and it was stolen so i bought a new torch 2 but this time it was having some american company's symbol on it. I upgraded it to the next firmware and downloaded blackberry protect but the problem is my phone isn't being displayed on the blackberry protect website even after 10 backups.
