IPhone :: Restore From A Backup - Find The Dates Of My Recent Backups?
Mar 22, 2012
Need to restore my events in Week Cal from a backup. How do I find the dates of my recent backups? All my calendar events still appear on the hotmail frontpage. But I donīt know how to sync them back to my Week Cal.
I have had to replace my iPhone 4S twice this week (long story). I made sure in both cases that I was backed up to iCloud before I replaced the phone. I triple checked to make sure the last back up date/time, backed up again and can see the backups when I login to iCloud online, but when I try to restore from back up it has told me BOTH times that no iCloud backup is available?
I just deleted an iMessage thread on accident. I went to plug my phone in to restore from a backup I did last night, but of course it automatically synced as soon as I plugged it in, and now it wants to restore from the backup it just made (in which the messages have already been deleted). Is there a way to select a backup point inm the past that is not the most recent one? I am not using iCloud (yet).
i initiated and ios upgrade to 5.1.1 from my phone b/c it said it was already downloaded... after i kicked it off, it says i needed to connect to itunes.. however, it then said i was in restore mode.. after downloading the 800+gb download... it only gave me the option of restoring from an old restore... i thought since it said downloaded, the phone only need to update files and not the entire os. therefore i didnt perform a backup first.
I just tried syncing my 4S to my itunes and I previously used my 3G iPhone before the 4S. When I plugged it in, it restored all of my old 3g settings to my 4S, now I have lost several pictures, apps, and contacts. How do I find my old backup so that I can restore everything back to it again?
My wife and I both have Motorola phones on Boost mobile. Mine's the i335, and hers is the i296. We both have an identical issue, which is that missed calls with no caller ID details aren't displayed in the recent calls list -- as soon as the popup showing a missed call has been acknowledged, it's effectively as if the call simply never happened. Every other phone I've ever owned -- including Motorolas -- has shown these calls as "Unknown" in the recent calls list.
Is there something we're missing (perhaps a setting that would fix this issue), or is this the standard behaviour for these models?
Today, I got instructions from AT&T on how to unlock. I was able to perform backup on iTunes of my iPhone 4. But, I am not able to see the option to do 'Restore from backup' in iTunes. Currently, I have the Gevey SIM in the iPhone, not the original AT&T SIM.
I just bought a 4S today. I have already backed up my 3GS to iCloud - I can see the backup in the iCloud setting of both my 3GS and iPad 3. However, when I choose to restore from an iCloud backup on my 4S (fresh out of the box), it tells me no backups are available?
Is it possible to restore from more than one backup? Basically, I want all the info from my 2 previous iPhones (3G & 3GS) onto my current one (4S). They are all backed up and I can see the backups if I click on "restore from backup". I'm just not sure if it's possible to get all the info from those backups + my current one onto my 4S phone.
where can i find my restore and backup application?? it happens when i started to update my X10 to 2.3.3 version when its done my restore and backup application is gone.my contacts, settings, messages etc..the more important is my contact..im so sad.

New Sony Ericsson software is now available for your phone. Update your software to get the latest features and corrections, and to keep your phone in the best possible condition. When the new software is available, you may receive a message in the notification bar of your phone. The easiest way to get the new software is to accept this update.
When I open the photo gallery and tap the menu button>go to> the only options given to me are may, april, march, february. As recently as a few days ago that list of dates/times was much longer and included days such as today, yesterday, last week, etc. How can I restore the longer list of dates to "go to".
iphone messed up so i backed it up at 1:46am so i could basically restore my phone as new. anyways, tried to restore from my backup at 1:46am and there's not an option to restore it from. it has one from 2am, so i clicked that and i lost everything. not really sure why. also went to itunes>preferences>devices and my backup from 1:46am is there but i'm not sure what i can do about it. viewed it in finder and dragged it to my desktop just incase i need to use it.
I recently restored my iPhone4 on my Mac computer and I'm absolutely freaking out because my iTunes will not locate the correct backup (even when I left click on the iPhone icon in iTunes tool bar and select "Restore from Backup"). However, I can locate the file on my computer from the Library/ApplicationSupport/MobileSync/Backup. I've tried dragging it a bunch of different places/renaming the file to get it to show up in iTunes but nothing's working I saw that before I completed the most recent backup, it said the date before that was around mid-Jan 2012. The only backup file my iTunes can find is from 2010! My phone is not jail broken but if that's what it would take to get all of my data back.... I'm basically deserate.
I have lost ~20 pictures I took during my family's 4th of July event this weekend. It was the first time they have met my 17 month old daughter. Normally I wouldn't sweat loosing pictures, but these are very important to me.It restored every picture up until the backup I did before I left Sunday morning. I have tried A few different backups, one I made before I erased and synced my phone(new computer, old one was my work computer, no access to it).
