I recently got a new iphone and then like an idiot forgot the pass ode to my old iPhone 4s. I tried 10 times and it disabled me and I don't have a computer to sync to iTunes. Is there anyway to get it? Or at least get it back to where I can try to enter the code again because I think I know it now.

From browsing the Internet I see a lot of people trying to bypass the iPhone passcode lock. I have a similar but I think unique situation. I had a passcode set on my phone. I couldnt sleep two nights ago and vaguely remember playing with my phone settings. The next morning I went to use my phone and my passcode wouldnt work. With a sinking feeling I remember seeing passcode settings.
Needless to say I entered codes until I got the Connect to Itunes prompt.
Thinking iTune stored multiple backups, I connected my phone and made a backup not realizing I just erased the one from the prior week. So now I can connect to iTunes, tell it to restore, get the Cannot Restore theres a Passcode message, disconnect the cable, reconnect the cable, it syncs for a few seconds, then have access to the Passcode screen for another 10 tries until it locks again and I have to repeat this.
I dont want to reset and lose my data. In iTunes I can see my apps, music and movies. Is there a way iTunes can reset the passcode? I dont want to do the reset/restore for two reasons: 1) everthing I've read says I lose app data if I do that and 2) since I backed up after locking does that restore the forgotten passcode too so I end up in the same boat?

I have an iPhone 4 that my friend gave me. Her younger siblings were playing on it and it's disabled and must be connected to iTunes. I have tried to restore it, but it was never synced with iTunes. I got my iPhone 5 replaced with a new phone from apple as there was a device issue.Â
i had a back up sync on my laptop with th eold iphone. but when i got a new one i wasnt unable to sync that wil the old content on the laptop. It asked me for a software upgrade. I connected the new phone to another laptop and got the software upgarded.. but unfortunately when i syned the new phone with the itunes restiored on my phone.. nothing got synced except whatsapp. I lost my photos, contacts and videos.. is there any way if i use the "reset sync history" i will be able to get the contents of my old phone on this new iphone.?Â

My phone recently took a swim with me the other day. I dried it out and had it in rice and nothing has worked. The phone is officially dead and does not work. Yesterday, I went running with my Lumia 1020 listening to music and using the Runtastic app. The music stopped - I looked at the phone - it was turned off. I tried powering on, but to no avail. I should also mention that upon leaving, the battery was fully charged and this happened after some 20 minutes. When I came home, I immediately put the phone on the wall charger and expected it to power on after a while. I checked it after 3 hours and nothing, the phone was still stone-dead and what was even more worrying, completely cold - no heat-up from charging.
I tried connecting it to my PC - the computer didn't even recognize ANY device was connected to it. Just to be sure, I tried Nokia Software Recovery Tool, but sure enough, it was not able to detect the phone. The phone seems to be dead meat now, but when I put it on my desk wireless charging stand, the stand's indicator lights up, although the phone does nothing and stays that way.
I have 4s, today I changed the font from the default "tiny" to "Medium" for Messages/Phone Contacts. I found that to be too large and reset the font to "Small" but font won't change. In addition the default Tiny font is gone (no selection for it). How can I reset the font? I've rebooted several times but no success...
View 1 Replies View RelatedJust got a new iPhone 4 the other day. I was charging the phone and it fell, only a couple feet at most. There is a small crack in the back of the phone now, and it won't turn on anymore. My friend has a iPhone 4 as well and we swapped out the battery and the back housing (just to make sure that the crack didnt short anything out) but the symptoms persist.
I have it plugged into the wall charger now, tried doing a hard reset (holding home and power for some time) but nothing. This is very frustrating to think that the iPhone 4 is this fragile. Does anyone have any suggestions that I could try to get this device back up and running? Any help at all would be very appreciated.
I tried to restore my 3Gs. It was jailbroken on 3.1.3. The restore failed. I tried using tiny umbrella and RecBoot and it still said i could only restore and upgrade, so i decided after trying that a bunch of times to just do the manual reset from within the settings on the phone. It was on the apple logo with the spinnging thing for like an hour, and now its just stuck on the apple logo. I put it into DFU and tried exiting DFU (like i did earlier) using recboot but now it just wont leave the apple logo.

So each time I want to make a call, I have to reset my whole phone. This just started happening today, and the phone is 2 days old. Any advice? I don't want to do a full restore because I "restored from backup" from my old iPhone. I don't want to lose all those things!
