Does anyone know if you can block a caller from calling your Iphone 4S?

For the last three weeks, someone has been calling me in the middle of the night on Facetime. I have no idea who the caller is and it has become quite annoying to be woken up randomly in the middle of the night by this call. I searched for answers to my questions and I haven't seen anything updated since 2011 -- has Apple come up with anyway to block a specific caller/email address from calling you on FaceTime without having to turn FaceTime off? I know with Skype you can do this and it is very surprising that with Apple you cannot.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI have recently bought a new N8. My previous phone was HTC touch diamond 2. In the HTC, you could block the caller id to people not in the contacts list. For example, only people whose numbers were stored on your phone/sim card could see that you were calling. If you called anyone else, it would come up as 'Caller ID Withheld'. But now in my N8, I only have three options. Show caller id, withhold caller id and 'set by network'
how I can show my caller id to people only on my contacts list?

View 4 Replies View Relatedi have just bought a bb 8520, and i cant find where to block the phone sending my id [telephone number] to who i am calling.i have called my carrier because this is a service that they have to add to the plan, but they told me that the only way is to dial #31# before every phone number thats an option, but unreal, beacuse for the 99% of times you choose the phone number from the contact list [or you should modify every phone to have the #31# before the number]i had a nokia before, and this option is easy configured through the options tab does anybody knows where to configure this option?

View 1 Replies View RelatedI have a S2 on UK Vodafone contract even though I am currently living in NZ. My phone is a UK model.UK Vodafone have terminated the Passport service as of 1st November which means I now go on to NZ roaming which at 1.65/NZ$3.30 a minute is somewhat steep - I also pay that amount for the incoming call.I now need to block all incoming calls on my phone so as I am not tempted to answer calls at odd times of the day or night (quite hard when we are 13 hours ahead of UK and totally out of sync with them) and pay extortionate amounts of money BUT I need to leave the phone available to make and receive text messages. It is not as easy as to just get a NZ phone contract as this was my life line with friends and family in UK until my provider pulled the passport service so need to disable the phone I have.how to do this so as I can still send/receive text but NOT receive voice calls on my S2?
View 6 Replies View RelatedSo I got my iphone today. I didn't expect it to come this quickly as I just ordered on Tuesday from ATT so my case and screen protector has not come yet. For those who do not have their stuff ready or go case-less how do you take care of your phone? I'm so paranoid about how I touch my phone. Just wondering.

When I answer it says it's on speaker but I can't hear a thing and the people on the other end can't hear me either. I can still text and everything but just not call. I've tried everything I can think of like updating it and I've even taken it into a telstra shop and replaced the sim but I still have the same problem.

View 24 Replies View Relatedany recent converts here? I'm sure there's some of you around. I don't care why you converted, I just wanna know your reasoning and train of thought before you converted.I really wanna know why. Apple just gets ****ted on every single forum I read. And even in real life, those that don't use apple, are so opposed to it and are completely convinced Apple is crap, even though they've never owned an Apple product ever.

I'm reporting an issue related to "phone call" that seems to be common with Iphone 4, but I can not find the proper fix.First of all My mobile is an Iphone 4 out of warranty, and thus no chance to get any replacement from apple.Few weeks ago the phone just falls and then my problems during phone call starts:
During calls or right at the start of a call peolpe can not hear me. If I just tap at the rear of the phone or just push hard on the back of the phone, it comes back. But this is a pain as few seconds after people can hear me again...then tap on the phone...this back...and again and again.. I've tried all these fixes found on forum, but it does not solve the problem.
