I just got the IPhone 4 yesterday and connot send text messages to anyone without an Iphone, so the iMessage is working, but not normal text messaging... how do I fix this??? SMS is turned on in settings, even tried turning the phone on and off, but still not working.
I Work in a hospital setting and often need to communicate with emergency personnel, the group consists of approx 40-50 people. I would like to assign all these contacts into an immediately accessible text group. I know about enabling groups under the settings tab, but selecting individuals each time is cumbersome and defeats the STAT nature of the messaging.
i have not been receiving all text message for 3 days now. yet my network provider is saying there is nothing wrong with my phone as i could receive their test messages they sent to my phone. I have had a replacement sim card and network reset. I am having the same problem with several people, of who i receive some text messaes from them, but not all.
when both have their imessage turned on, i can text my gf and her daughter also gets my text and can reply. any text that any of the 3 of us send, we all can see in the same thread. how do we sop this from happening while leaving imessage turned on on all 3 phones? this doesnt seem to happen with any other iphone/imessage users, only me
My iPhone 4 is sending random text messages to a lot of people. In one case, a buddy gets a text message that i sent yesterday when i text someone else from my phone.
I have the new iphone 4s. Recently I have been talking to other iphone users but the imessage takes a long time and then results in sending a text message. Usually this is fine but now these people are writing me back and saying that my phone is just sending them weird symbols and numbers instead of my intended message. if I turn off imessage, my texts seem to be fine but I would like to be able to use imessage still.
I'm not sure why this is and i have tried pretty much everything. people can only hear me when i have my phone on speaker phone.. i cant afford a new iphone since they are like $600 without an upgrade.
I have been trying to send a text to just one person and just enter in his contact information; however it seems that the text then gets sent to additional people as well. Is there a way in settings to make sure this does not happen again.
I am using CHOMP SMS app for my texting. Yesterday I sent a text to Joe, Bob, Jim. Just like that in the TO block. When they sent replys they all got each others reply to read. I didn't want that. That is whey I sent it the way that I did instead of sending it as a GROUP message. Is there a setting in CHOMP or the regular app to make it so everyone does not see each others replys?
I hope motorola can improve there text message app. if i want to foward message to some people, i have to type every name, and i don't like group messaging.
So I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.
For some reason, when I receive pictures from other people in a text message, their pictures are always grainy and low resolution it seems like. It shouldn't be the phone, because I received pictures from an iPhone 6, and a Lg G2, and the pictures are very bad quality. I was just wondering if maybe this is happening to other people,
I only had my blackberry on Friday through Vodafone.First time I connected to pc it said I needed to upgrade software, so I did.Is it right that I cannot separate emails, sms messages and call log as they all go into the same place? Also I cannot save phone numbers from people who text me into contacts?
I've noticed that some times when I get text messages from certain contacts, the way it shows up on my informs me that it was sent to myself and X amount of people (and I can view those numbers/contacts if I have them). But what's annoying is when I try to reply to "said person" it replies to all contacts that recieve the message. Now if I hold down the message and get options, I can view the details and open the message/delete the message, and I can Reply to All... but it never lets me just reply to that person. There is no option for it. I just reply and they all get it.
Like I stated before, this is not every time I get a mass text message from someone. Some of my friends have iPhone 4s so I tested it last night with a friend sending out a text to two of us and when I received it there was no indication that it had been sent to multiple people. Also have another friend that does this a lot with his Droid 2, no issue with his either. I'm wondering if this is happening because of the way it's being sent to me (and others) but even if I can see who else it was sent to, I'd still like the option to just reply to one person.Any advice on this? I foresee people telling me to get another text messaging app though which makes me think AT&T/Motorola should really add a lot more features to their text messaging app just incase of the people that would like options..
So I got my iphone today. I didn't expect it to come this quickly as I just ordered on Tuesday from ATT so my case and screen protector has not come yet. For those who do not have their stuff ready or go case-less how do you take care of your phone? I'm so paranoid about how I touch my phone. Just wondering.
When I answer it says it's on speaker but I can't hear a thing and the people on the other end can't hear me either. I can still text and everything but just not call. I've tried everything I can think of like updating it and I've even taken it into a telstra shop and replaced the sim but I still have the same problem.
any recent converts here? I'm sure there's some of you around. I don't care why you converted, I just wanna know your reasoning and train of thought before you converted.I really wanna know why. Apple just gets ****ted on every single forum I read. And even in real life, those that don't use apple, are so opposed to it and are completely convinced Apple is crap, even though they've never owned an Apple product ever.
I'm reporting an issue related to "phone call" that seems to be common with Iphone 4, but I can not find the proper fix.First of all My mobile is an Iphone 4 out of warranty, and thus no chance to get any replacement from apple.Few weeks ago the phone just falls and then my problems during phone call starts:
During calls or right at the start of a call peolpe can not hear me. If I just tap at the rear of the phone or just push hard on the back of the phone, it comes back. But this is a pain as few seconds after people can hear me again...then tap on the phone...this back...and again and again.. I've tried all these fixes found on forum, but it does not solve the problem.
