I have been trying to send a text to just one person and just enter in his contact information; however it seems that the text then gets sent to additional people as well. Is there a way in settings to make sure this does not happen again.

I am currently using the BB Bold 9700. Unfortunately I have got a problem with the device concerning writing SMS (and sometimes also e-mails):When I get started writing a SMS everythings fine. But abruptly the cursor disappears and when I continue writing the text, it just does not appear on the screen. But "in the background" the text goes on, because after writing "blindly" I can send the whole message, even the first part I can see and even the second part which is written but not displayed.

Having problems with replying and/or sending group texts with the people you send to getting blank messages? I have Verizon for HTC One and people with iPhones from same and different carriers will get my responses in a group message but anyone I know who owns any phone that is Android or Windows only gets blanks from me.
Is there anything that can do about it on my end or is this an Android, carrier and/or HTC problem?
My iphone is showing that my text sent but the people never receive them ! what's wrong with my phone ?

I'm getting ready to go on vacation for two weeks and would like to be able to send friends and family some pictures by text. None of them have Blackberry's....just regular cell phones or i phones. Will they be able to get my text pictures from my Blackberry using the MMS text feature? I may be crazy but I could swear when I first got my BB a year or two ago, I was able to send text pictures my SMS texts......No?

For other people, we chat with no problem. These are all people in the same country as me and mostly in the same city (the people I'm having problems texting are in the same city as me). Looking through the forums here, I noticed that it was happening when I had large numbers of saved texts, and I started deleting the threaded messages so that I was never over about 20-25 texts per person. That solved the problem for 2 weeks.Last week, I started deleting all text messages beyond 15 texts, total, and still I have the issue. I just had the phone freeze and refuse to allow me into the threaded portion of the text after just 3 texts (2 from my wife and 1 from me)!Does anyone else have this problem? I run my practice via email and text messages when I am (frequently) out of the office, so this is becoming a critical issue for me. Ideas?
I Work in a hospital setting and often need to communicate with emergency personnel, the group consists of approx 40-50 people. I would like to assign all these contacts into an immediately accessible text group. I know about enabling groups under the settings tab, but selecting individuals each time is cumbersome and defeats the STAT nature of the messaging.

I think this has been happening ever since the first release of 8.1. Basically if the phone sleeps while a messaging conversation is open, when I wake and unlock the phone, there will often be random gibberish in the compose field. So if I want to send a message, I first have to erase the gibberish.
idk, it's just weird and annoying and I can't figure out what's causing it. My best guess is that it has something to do with typing in the pin code to unlock the phone... which I just realized I should try and test with and without having to type in the pin.

I have a Blackberry Bold 9900 with IMEI 35856604xxxxxx, I did an update for the software version 7.1.0 Bundle 2061 however I entered the password 5 times due to a non functional button on my keyboard and all data was wiped. Unfortunately I do not have a backup and I lost all my contacts and media files. Is there a way to rollback knowing that I did previously an upgrade for the software version over the air, so probably my data is stored somewhere on RIM servers.

I did not back up any of the data in my phone. Now, every time I turn on my phone (bold 9000) the battery dies within 2-3 hours and when I switch the battery it erases all contacts and adjustments to the settings that I've made. i have not been receiving all text message for 3 days now. yet my network provider is saying there is nothing wrong with my phone as i could receive their test messages they sent to my phone. I have had a replacement sim card and network reset. I am having the same problem with several people, of who i receive some text messaes from them, but not all.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI got my first ever BB yesterday, the Bold 9700, but there's a problem with the address book which is driving me nuts! Despite setting the phone up for all available UK localisation options on the startup wizard I cannot enter the postcodes of my contacts in the address book. The field is labelled "zip/postcode" but will not accept letters, just numbers as would be the case for a zip code. I've tried to override the number lock which is the default for this field, but the phone will not allow it.
I've rechecked the "options" folder and the "advanced options" subfolder, but there is nothing which gives me an option to overcome my problem. For those unfamiliar with UK postcodes, they mostly follow the format AB1 3XY but some have a seven character format AB12 3XY. BB's have been in the UK for ages so surely someone knows how to fix this issue, unless it's specific to my model which I understand hasn't been out that long.

When they sent replys they all got each others reply to read. I didn't want that. That is whey I sent it the way that I did instead of sending it as a GROUP message.
