For some reason, when I receive pictures from other people in a text message, their pictures are always grainy and low resolution it seems like. It shouldn't be the phone, because I received pictures from an iPhone 6, and a Lg G2, and the pictures are very bad quality. I was just wondering if maybe this is happening to other people,

View 2 Replies View RelatedI do have a question about the pictures in my gallery, though. I used the camera for the first time this morning to take a picture of my kids before school. Once I took the picture and swiped over to view it in the gallery I was given some message about a better shot being available...or something to that effect. I just clicked 'ok' quickly because I was running late and didn't have time to pay attention to it.
I now have 2 pictures with the same file name, but one of them has _TOP at the end of the name. I thought it might have something to do with Google's auto-enhance feature since I have my pics auto-upload to Google, but only one of the pictures shows up in Google+ on the web, and in the Motorola Gallery. They both show up in the Photos app on my phone, and they both show up in OneDrive since I have them auto-upload there, too. Is it some sort of 'best shot' feature the camera is using? Google+? Photos app?
A few weeks ago, seemingly out of the blue, by stock messaging app lost the ability to send pictures. Suddenly every time I sent a picture message I would receive the "Unfortunately, the Messaging app has stopped responding" error. My phone also stopped being able to receive pictures as well. I can't figure out what exactly changed that caused this issue, or if this is a common bug or completely isolated incident.

Here's and example of such a text:
"ԀȂ it before lol. How do I switch?"
I know for sure there was a full sentence before the "it" (saw it on the sender's phone), and that didn't include any weird character/emoji.
My phone's a Moto X 2nd gen (bought on november 2014) running Android 5.0 (lollipop). My carrier's T-Mobile.
My phone longer notifies me when I receive a text. I haven't changed anything on it.

Is there a way to send group messages on the Moto X 2014? I tried sending an SMS to 2 people (that both have iPhones) and it sent as 2 independent messages. I want them to be in the same thread so that I don't have to "copy/paste" from one thread to another...I would prefer it to go out as an SMS rather than data, if that makes sense. Basically, I want the functionality of the iPhone group messaging to work on my Moto X.
So I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.

I have tried in both chomp and my default setting, and it won't work.All it does is keep ringing as if I have a new text. But when I click on it, nothing comes through. So then, I close it/delete the conversation and then it starts ringing again.

View 1 Replies View RelatedSo I understand Priority Notifications is the new 'silent' mode but I can't get it working so that it has the same functionality as older Android versions.
I've set all priority notifications (events / calls / messages) off and choose to turn on priority notifications indefinitely but each day it reverts back to 'all' so I have to remember to turn it on every day.
Also, when in an app (e.g WhatsApp) and a new message comes through, it still makes a noise even though it's in priority notifications mode!
Pre-Lollipop, I was able to have a different ringtone for each contact. This was set in the 'Contacts' app. I can't seem to see how to do this in Lollipop.
