I was curious if anyone could help me with this problem. Any time someone sends me a picture, it won't go through. I have tried in both chomp and my default setting, and it won't work.All it does is keep ringing as if I have a new text. But when I click on it, nothing comes through. So then, I close it/delete the conversation and then it starts ringing again.

When I have pictures sent to me they come through but never download it just stays on the downloading bar. I also believe I have my data on so thats not the problem. Why is this?

I've done the Settings>More>Internet Settings (Download settings for internet and MMS) thing, and my internet browsing is and always has been fine. If I turn Wi-Fi off and choose to browse via 2G, it's next to useless, but it DOES work. When I get into a 3/4G area it works as you'd expect without me changing any settings.In a 2G only area, a ~256K image should still be able to be received and sent, albeit with a slight wait, shouldn't it?
The message I get when people try to send me something is "Message not downloaded", and although I can press and hold to select "Download message", it still doesn't work. WHen I try to send, I get "Message queued for sending", after about 5 minutes. I've read about that message lots of times, but it seems the answer is always that the user hasn't downloaded the correct internet/MMS settings, which I have.I'm on O2, UK, and am on a contract with data available (and it won't deny me more data if I go over my limit).
Everytime I get a picture, it will say Message Not Downloaded. I can hold down on it and it will say Download Message and Delete Message, but it still never downloads.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI replaced 3 iphone 3g's with 3 new iphone 4's on my family plan. 2 of them are working just fine. The other one is unable to send or receive texts or mms. Anyone else having this problem? Or anyone that can suggest how to fix this? I wonder if I might have misstyped in the ime or SSID info on the at&t page incorrectly on that one unit. This is a non jail broken phone. Just a regular 3g.

I know that we can both receive and send international texts because we text a mutual friend in Australia. I checked the participating carriers in Norway. His carrier, Netcom, is on that list. All other text issues have been sent from iphones which my children have. I contacted Straight Talk which is my carrier and they told me that if I could send a text to myself and receive it then it was not my phone. I had a Samsung Proclaim previously and did not have any trouble. I have sent a text to myself as Straight Talk suggested and I received it fine. Both phones were/or are on the Straight Talk plan using verizon towers.

I have a Blackberry Curve 9380. A few days ago I received a call and the "voice mail" image appeared in the top bar of my blackberry. I checked my voice mail, but the symbol did not go away. Since then I have not received any text messages. The text messages I send are getting through, but the ones other people send me aren't. Thinking my inbox might be full, I deleted a few conversations, to no effect. My phone is basically new and I haven't made any adjustments to it. I've drawn a picture to show what i mean: don't know if the voice mail and text messaging issues are related. But one problem i'am having trouble with sending and receiving text messages. I'm having two issues with texting on my Blackberry Bold 9700.
1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.
I always receive texts normally and get the normal notifications and can read messages through normal messaging. I now cannot recieve notifications and use messaging for my husbands number. I can only check texts by going to his contact info and selecting messaging. I dont even get a notification of his message coming through. his messages don't show up in the normal message centre, although they are there when I go in from his contact
