Why am I unable to receive text messages from my husbands phone (Samsung Galaxy SII)? We are both on the sprint network and I can receive text messages from everyone else, regardless of the carrier or phone. I love my iPhone but when I can't text the most important person I need to, it's just ridiclious!

when i first got my phone there was no issue receiving pictures from my husband in his text messages to me. now when he sends pictures it just says "downloading" but nothing ever comes through.

I have plenty of data left and I am disconnected from my at home wifi.I've tried rebooting it and trying to send a multimedia message while connected to wifi and nothing has worked.

Anyone else having this problem? Or anyone that can suggest how to fix this? I wonder if I might have misstyped in the ime or SSID info on the at&t page incorrectly on that one unit. This is a non jail broken phone. Just a regular 3g.
View 6 Replies View RelatedI have not had any trouble sending text just receiving them. I have only been notified by one person using an android that they had sent a text which I did not receive. All other text issues have been sent from iphones which my children have. I contacted Straight Talk which is my carrier and they told me that if I could send a text to myself and receive it then it was not my phone. I had a Samsung Proclaim previously and did not have any trouble. I have sent a text to myself as Straight Talk suggested and I received it fine. Both phones were/or are on the Straight Talk plan using verizon towers.

I checked my voice mail, but the symbol did not go away. Since then I have not received any text messages. The text messages I send are getting through, but the ones other people send me aren't. But one problem i'am having trouble with sending and receiving text messages. I have called att customer care numerous times and powered cycled my phone as many times as I can count but still nothing, I have also checked to see if the "service center" number is correct and it is, I still have no clue what it could be. When i send an sms text message and scroll up to the message it says "sent" and the date and time but i ask the recipient if he/she has received the text but still nothing.

View 2 Replies View RelatedI'm having two issues with texting on my Blackberry Bold 9700.
1-I can't send or receive texts from certain contacts (right now it only seems to be from my boyfriend, we're both on At&t).
2-My text threads lock-up. A new text comes in, but I can't actually open the message. I can open all the previous messages, but any message at the top won't open.
My Galaxy S5 was bought new and boxed on August 6th. After 5 weeks it started playing up as the ringtone would play over and over with every new notification (FB, Twitter etc) meaning I had to turn the phone off. A reboot and Zedge app delete sorted this out however now I find I cannot sent text messages but I can receive them. I can also post on all social media but not send a text.
I have twice restored the phone to factory settings which solves the problem for about a week, then it returns. I'm on 4G with Unlimited Texts and I'm not over my allowance. To date I have tried the following which didn't work....
* Switched the phone off then back on
* Installed the latest software
* Switched to Flight Mode then back again
* Checked the text message centre number (+447782000800) is correct
* Restored phone to factory settings (twice)
* Removed WhatsApp
* Removed all music and video media
I managed to get my text service up and running (so far) by clearing the message cache. Here is how to do it on Samsung S5 APPS - SETTINGS - scroll down to APPLICATIONS - APPLICATION MANAGER - scroll across the screen to the left to the 'ALL' menu - scroll down to MESSAGES - CLEAR CACHE. Finally re-start your phone to allow changes to take effect.
So I can receive texts from everyone in my contacts and who I normally text, but this one girl in my contacts has been telling me she receives my texts but then complains when I dont answer her, but I have not been receiving these texts. So I am curious as to what could be the problem with my Iphone 4? Ive updated it to 5.1 today to see if that was the problem but we are still having issues, and I also checked that she is also using verizon.

I checked the settings and the obvious stuff such as the volume being on and a ringtone for text notification is set. I just went to unlock my phone and I noticed that the phone did not play the click or pop noise as I hit the keys to unlock the phone. Again, the volume was on....maybe this is a larger issue...
