So I got my iphone today. I didn't expect it to come this quickly as I just ordered on Tuesday from ATT so my case and screen protector has not come yet. For those who do not have their stuff ready or go case-less how do you take care of your phone? I'm so paranoid about how I touch my phone. Just wondering.

Is it me or are there no cases out yet for the iP4? I know wants us to believe we don't need one and it's indestructible, plus they want us to by their bumper, aka a $30 rubber band, but I want a case. I am going to very careful with it for now, but I am a bit nervous. I can toss my 3G, w/ Incase slider, on my desk or table, even drop it and I have no worries. I just hope cases hit the market soon. I have not gone into any stores yet to look, so if anyone knows anything please let me know. I looked online and it's slim pickins. Post pics and reviews of your iP4 cases.

View 4 Replies View RelatedMy wife and I just purchased 2 3G Iphones. We want to protect them ASAP. We want to buy cases that will help protect the phone from being dropped. Also we want them to be somewhat slim and not bulky. I would think a silicon case would be better than a hard case in shock absorption but please correct me if I am wrong. My wife keeps her phone in her purse while I usually have it in my pocket. Are budget for both is $50 shipped. Do hard cases help absorb shock when you drop your phone? Also what is a good online retailer for Iphone cases? Here are the options I am thinking about. I am open to any other suggestions. Amazon has these all in stock.

Incipio Feather: Looks awesome and slim but would it protect the phone when dropped??
Speck Candyshell: Looks very nice but rubber corners and bottom tend to break or rip.
Seidio Flexarmour: Ok looks. Don't hear much about them.
Seidio innocase: Looks nice but will it protect iphone if dropped??
Otterbox Impact: Cheap, good reviews, and looks like it will protect. It looks too bulky and not the most attractive case either,
I used an incase slider for my 3GS. Looking for something similar but there aren't many options right now. What is out there besides the bumper?

I checked zagg.com and they already have a full body protection for the iPhone 4 but it looks like it doesn't cover the metal ring around it. Would like to protect it as soon as I received it. Read good things about Vaja cases in regards to quality. Looking for feedback on functionality. Long 45 day order time though. Not sure that I dig the flap, which could get rather annoying, so leaning towards the Grip. Top is in the first photo and Grip is in the second two.

I found that the flash on the 4s would not work with many different cases. I can confirm that the flash does work OtterBox cases.

I know there are several threads about cases for the HD2 here, but a few are about leather cases (which I do not want to use)...there some about the silicone/ gel cases which I would like to use, and theres the invisible skin type which I would like to know more about. I do not know if the Invisible Skin/Armor ..w/e you want to call it -they seem the same to me... are tough enough to truly protect the phone from a fall ?I also would like to know if there are any silicone/gel cases which are thinner than usual but still provide adequate protection..One good example I can think of is this one case I saw on an iphone -it was a clear hard case, but it was very thin which made me really like it.

Rep looks at my phone and says "well, thats why we try to sell you phone cases and screen protectors...we will NOT replace this for this reason." I asked her where in the manufacturers warranty it states my phone requires any protective devices. I didn't even want to argue the obvious point that a screen protector or a case wont prevent this. She just took it back and blew a can of air around the perimeter of the screen and said "sorry, but thats all I can do for you.

Also, can anyone recommend a good pouch that clips onto your belt that fits this phone well? And screen protectors too? The issue started about a month ago and gradually occured more often, and now it's basically happening every time I place or take a call: I can hear the person at the end of the line, but they can't hear me when I talk. Also, perhaps that's not related, whenever I plug it in my dock to listen to music, there's no sound coming out - I tested the dock with an older iPod I have lying around and it worked just fine. I first thought it was some interference issue and tested from various places, to no avail. It's basically useless as a phone.. Since it's out of warranty (it's a little over 2 years old), I wonder whether I can even get it fixed without paying about the same amount of money I would need to shell for an iPhone 4.
