May 7, 2015To get to emojis, I have to hold down the microphone voice key to be able to select the emoji section. I find this quite irritable for someone who uses a lot of emojis but never voice input. I used to be able to get rid of the microphone so I could go straight to emoji use on my old Galaxy S3, but I can't seem to figure out how for my new (non-edge) Galaxy S6.

Jun 23, 2012I purchased iphone4 last year from authorized Apple reseller in Vietnam.As of last Friday It started very strange problem - sudden stop as mid-conversation the other side stop hearing me.It should be noted that I tried to put the speaker, connect headphones, connect headset Bluetooth earphones and nothing worked - still they have not heard me.More mention - when I talk through other applications (Bphobe, Skype and so on) or when I'm recording myself in "voice memo" or using voice commands -the microphone works fine and without any problem!

Apr 26, 2015I just got the LG G3 about 2 months ago. For the first 6-7 weeks all was good and normal. About a week ago, I went to "speak" a text msg like I've been doing up until then where the microphone icon has gone missing. I'm sure as I was playing with setting, along the line I must have done something I shouldn't have taking away my microphone icon. I've tried a few things but can't seem to get it back. Seems that the area I need to get to, to turn it on, is grayed out. I've attached a few pics.

Aug 29, 2015My old Nexus 5 (vanilla 5.1.1 not rooted) is malfunctioning.There is no sound coming from the speaker in the bottom of the phone and the microphone is not picking up any sound when making a normal call and/or recording a video.The speaker at the top of the phone however, is working. So I hear people in phone calls, but they do not hear me.Now to the strange part: If I change to the loud speaker while in a call it's the opposite; I can not hear them but they can hear me.If I connect headphones into the headphone jack I can hear sound both in calls and in video playback.
So to summarize:
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds): No sound
Playing video or music (YouTube, video recording, dialer sounds) with headphones: Sound working
Recording video: No sound recorded
Making a phone call: Sound but no microphone
Making a phone call with loudspeaker on: No sound but microphone working
Making a phone call with handsfree connected: Not tested (I have no headphones with mic).
And what's even more strange is that I just replaced the flex cable with the microphone and charging dock and also the entire speaker with new parts from eBay. And guess what... it's still not working!!!
Galaxy S6 Edge :: Microphone Is Not Working
May 19, 2015Just got this phone out of the box and activated and the mic is not working... not when I'm on speaker phone, not while using Google Now or the voice recorder. And when I record it's getting absolutely no noise at all. However, it does work with an external headphone mic and over Bluetooth.
I've tried turning it off and removing and reinserting the SIM card, deleting the cache, using a small pin to clear the mic hole of "debris." Nothing is working. Firmware is apparently up to date.

It works with SoundAbout, but it's a pain to have the notification "hey buy me" everytime I switch on the headphones and it's a pain just to have to switch to listen to music.

May 14, 2010I opened the box, and really liked the form factor, screen, etc.I was making a call and I plugged the headphones in suddenly the person could not hear me.I tried everything, but it seems that neither the internal microphone or the headphones can give the N1 any sound.Except if I yell directly into the phone/mic.Also, I tried to have them send me a new one and I'll return the old one, but they could only offer me a refurbished handset.I'm close to just returning the phone and forgetting android. What do you all suggest?
