I used to have a Sony walkman phone where one easily could address the music. One of the features on that phone was that, when pressing the volume button up/down for about 2 seconds, the next/previous track of the music player was selected. This way it was possible to easily navigate through the music, without having to activate the screen and pressing additional keys. This option is not available on my xperia ray and I was wondering whether this functionality could be added, whenever it is available.
I have noticed this problem for awhile now. I did a search on the forum and noticed that others are having the problem but I don't see a solution. When I set the volume on the track I am playing either to a low setting or a high setting it always resets itself to what sounds like about 65-75% of the max volume. For example, if I set the volume at max with audio boost, it will lower the volume. If I have the volume set to 30%, it will increase to the "standard" setting. This only seems to affect the headphones (aux jack), I tried it with the external speaker and it stays the same. I have tried it with audio boost on and off, and have enabled and disabled enhanced audio. This is a terrible problem, it renders the media player almost a hazard, especially if you are riding a bike or driving a car and have to play with the volume between every song.
I just got the Galaxy S6 which of course is running Lollipop. One of the features I used all the time on my iPhone was the ability to skip forward/back while listening to music (e.g. Pandora, Rhapsody, Music Player, etc.). I'm afraid to ask but am I to understand this functionality does NOT work on this phone/OS??? If so, how can I get around this? I do not want to root the phone nor do I want to be forced to use apps that require me to play music stored on the phone. I have subscriptions to Pandora and Rhapsody for a reason.

This is my first post on this site, so I hope I have put my request in the right location. My company has supplied myself a Blackberry Bold 9000, and naturally I use it for a lot of non-work stuff!
When listening to music, I'm finding that the volume increases whenever you go to the next track. This is very annoying, as I am forever getting blasted with noise, and having to decrease the volume on the phone.
Just updated to lollipop. Now i can't use the power button anymore to set the volume on silent. I only have the options shutdown, restart, take screenshot and screencapture. Is it possible to add functions to the power button?
where I can get a spare volume button set? I don't know what happened, or how, but my volume buttons fell off and are gone somewhere. It looks like it would be an easy fix if I could just order the buttons somewhere. In the meantime, I downloaded a software solution (volume +), but it's pretty inconvinent to not have hardware volume controls.
My volume button on the right side of the phone was lost . i can't increase or decrease the volume . so , the question is , where can i get back the volume button on the right side of the phone ? xperia play .
My Xperia Play is not recognizing volume up commands sent from the button. As my rocker already dropped out months ago, I tried pressing the button directly with a pen. No response.
Before i was using K790i phone in that phone this feature was good Changing the songs in the volume key but know i am using xperia x10 mini there is no such kind of feature.
I was at a party and used my phone for a few minutes 4 hours ago and there was no problem. Battery was 78%. After a while I realized my phone was not turning on. After coming back home I connected it to the wall charger and the light is blinking red. When I hold the start button there is a red light constantly but it won't turn on. Holding volume up and start button also doesn't work and there is no vibration. I tried the yellow reset button near the SIM tray and that didn't work either. My phone had a 16 GB built in memory which was pretty used up (It kept telling me transfer to SD card since memory was above 75%). I was going to buy a microSD card for it but now this happened. Is there something I can do to fix my phone?
My volume button broke! I can increase the volume of my music but i cant decrease it! What can I do?PS I listen to music a lot so i need the button to work?
Can I chenge what app the Hardware Camera button calls, so instead of loading the stock camera, I can load a different one? I was hoping (like with Contacts, Launcher and Sms) that it would ask what app I would like to use, but it doesn't.
My buttons seemed to have stopped working properly. In order to adjust the volume using the side button, I have to shut down the phone and then restart it. It will work for a while and then stops working and I have to go thru the process again. The home button just works whenever it wants. It doesn't fix the problem when I restart the phone. I can slide my finger in a circle around the button and it still doesn't work.
When I answer a call,I put the phone up to my ear and the speakerphone turns on.I suspect my ear touches the Speakerphone button in the top left corner.is it possible to move or remove that button?
My volume keys are broken and i cant change volume during calls and in music player. Is there way to change volume without physical volume keys? In radio app i touch screen and volume bar appear.
On my Lumia 950, it will reset when I hold down the power button for 10 seconds but this should only happen when holding down both the volume down button and the power button at the same time. My Lumia 920, which is also running build 10.0.10586.29, can have just the power button held down and once I swipe away the power off prompt, it works normally and stays on just like I want.I would like to use my Qi enabled car mount but it needs to push down on the power button, causing it to constantly restart.
I know this is probably against the rules to repost what I said in another thread, but I'M DESPERATE! I beg forgiveness and leniency. I need to get the word out! I feel so small. I even tried emailing jobs.

ME: I seriously, 100% and completely agree with you. I really believe in the touch screen. I love it for everything I do on there. I don't think physical keyboards are easier like some people keep crowing, but GOD, the on-screen camera button is SO EFFING TERRIBLE I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! It makes it so awkward to hold the phone and push the button. There is a level of deep-rooted frustration that pops up when using any piece of technology other than my iphone. The only time that frustrated feeling takes over with the iphone is when I have to use that on-screen button to take a picture. It's a pain in the ass, taking multiple pictures sucks, taking pictures quickly sucks, being unaware of my surrounding while i'm concentrating on threading the needle that is making sure i hit the button correctly sucks. It takes the fun out of photography, it takes the spontaneity away and negates the whole advantage of having a camera with you at all times.
Please somebody beg, borrow, or kidnap steve into making the Perfectly positioned to be a shutter button in a comfortable and funny way that just works. Volume button into a camera shutter / video start stop button when the camera button is open.or at least give me the option. I did some looking and the Camera Zoom 2 app has this as an option. Anybody know of any others? I don't like being stuck using a 3rd party camera app as I'd rather use the one that apple designed to work best with their camera. Maybe I'm just paranoid about other camera apps taking longer, and taking worse pictures, but I really want apple to make this an option.
After upgrading my Xperia Pro to ICS I have learned that My Tracks I have used a lot for route tracking does not operate in usable manner any more. It takes 15-17 minutes to really start recording a route after starting it. Under GB it took like 5 seconds (well, less than half a minute anyway). When ICS finally starts recording route, it has a lot of gaps, i.e. it misses major part of recorded route. GB did leave gaps to routes, too, but only after being up for a couple weeks. Under GB this could be fixed by rebooting the phone.
I turned from on Settings > Developer options > Show CPU usage for some time. Load averages shown never went below 8.Other things I have noticed: K-9 message scrolling is sluggish under ICS. It was smooth under GB.Same applies to Contacts scrolling. Video recording has lost stereo sound.how to make My Tracks working again under ICS? Or should I revert back to GB?
I have just bought the X10 mini and tried to copy everything from my W995 phone/card to my SD card. However now I can only play mp3 tracks, not wma,is there anything I can do about this? And also my pics were nicely arranged in individual folders on the W995, now they're everywhere.
Media go software will convert flac tracks to mp3. which i dont want as i use power amp app to play flac tracks. Is there a way media go can transfer flac tracks without converting it?
I've been trying to maximize use of my Xperia Neo as a music player, and I have successfully migrated my music from Itunes to media go. The problem is that most of my albums are mixed CDs, and they skip between tracks when I play them on the NEO.It's driving me crazy! Is there any solution to this aside from downloading a different music app, or just sticking it out with my ipod?
my volume up button broke somehow, without dropping the phone or something, it just stopped working suddenly. Now I have the problem that I can't increase my volume when i'm calling and I can't increase the volume of the mp3 player, is there any workaround for this?
