This is probably a really dumb question, but in the corners of the home screens are these icons inside a quarter circle, some of which were there, some I have added, some by mistake.
I have the rooted 4.0.2.A.0.62 and I was thinking of checking out how the Xperia ICS is. So I was woondering, will updating to 4.1.B.0.431 remove my root? I'm going to udate via PC Companion.
I have a lot of icons that I will probably never use such as all the games, and my pull down screens are all over the place,. I have a spare space on one page and two icons on another so it looks a bit of a mess. I tried the "Rearrange icons" tabs, but all that happens is the background goes black and you can't action anything.
When on the texting screen, the icons on the upper right corner are overlapped. Example: the new text icon is underneath the upload icon. Also, when in an individual text screen, the contact icon is underneath the upload arrow icon. Seems to be a software problem to me.
I'm a new BB 8330m user (carrier is Sprint).I have an icon for Pocket Express (which came with the phone) on my screen that I can't remove. I have deleted it from the applications list and do not see it in the modules list but the icon still shows.I also have icons that have the "Hide" checked but are not really hidden. The icon looks as though it is transparent.
I have a 3710 Fold. There is an annoying ringing bell icon in the top right corner of most of the screens except the main home screen..Im not too sure why it is threre and would like to remove it..
I have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.
i cant call my phone when my xperia active go to lock screen mode...it looks like i've shut down my phone but i'm not...is any1 here can help me with this matter...i'll already update my phone 2 the latest software update via pc companion....and 1 other Q is y r my xperia active always restart at random period of time

my very own xperia active get a scratch on its screen. and it new, its 2 weeks after i brought it. Is there any way to replace the front cover on its screen.
When I woke up this morning my phone was turned off so I try to turn it on by holding the power button, it only flashes the LED (red) 3 times between short pauses, no vibrations then stays turned off.Next, I tried to plug the charger in then holding the power button. still the same symptoms as above.Lastly, I tried plugging the charger / connector to my laptop then plugging the phone in. When I did that, the red LED shows 1 blink on intervals as opposed from the 3 blinks above.I know I still have my warranty but I want at least try and fix it because I don't like going out on weekends (the days of the week where I get to rest) so I'd rather try a fix here at home.
On my HTC One M8. How i can remove the time displayed on the top right hand corner of my home page. Right next to the battery indication. Or better yet how can i remove everything from the top of the screen. The wifi signal strength indicator, the battery level indicator and the time.
I see people regularly have icons/symbols on their display that they don't know what they stand for. Now I've got one ... it's close to the top, to the right on where of where the symbols show you have messages and/or voicemails. This one looks like a smiley face with a star over the left eye. There's a number 1 next to it. Help please.
Also, where is the master chart from BlackBerry, or the carrier, the deciphers these. It seems to be a common problem that's not covered very well in the user's manual.Isn't there a link somewhere to the master chart? My phone is an 83** with Sprint.
After my recent SD card swap, I've run into a problem. I have a few apps that show as not installed, and are no longer on offer at the play store. Unfortunately, the icons for these apps still appear in my app drawer. If I hold one and try do delete it, I'm told that system apps cannot be deleted. Trust me, Cookie Crush is not a system app.
Any tips for getting rid of these icons and cleaning up the app drawer?
as you know within any screen on the phone when you press and hold the Blackberry button for less than 2 seconds it will bring up a "quick menu". Some icons are ALWAYS listed under this "quick menu" whether they are closed or not, such as BB messenger, Browser etc. Is there any way I can add or remove icons in this quick menu?
X10 min pro:When phone is in airplane mode the status bar shows a sim icon with a small red cross in top right corner, when airplane mode is off it dissapears and the normal signal strength bars appear. If I take out the sim card and put into airplane mode the icon does not appear. What does the icon mean - is it normal for it to be there when in airplane mode?
So it's been one of those days , my phone fell on the ground and the back got completely shattered but it was still working , but then I spilt some Pepsi on it so I decided to rinse it till it's clean , cause you know , it's waterproof and stuff but now not only is the back shattered , the screen started to flicker and then it wouldn't start anymore and all it does is constantly flash red lights in the corner of the phone when it's being charged.Â
My front camera keeps taking pictures with 2 lines in the corner. You can see it when the camera is on, and it shows up in every single picture. I've cleaned the front camera, checked for scratches/cracks but can't see anything.
This is probably a futile effort but I was wondering if there was a way to remove unwanted icons off of my tour. I saw a post from last year in regards to the storm and the advise was to just hide them because it can't be done. I'm hoping that as time has passed and technology has advanced that maybe a solution has been developed to resolve this issue.
