I cannot take any picture/movies anymore with my Xperia active, because the tiny glass of the waterproof cover is scratched, so all pictures are blurry.Where can I find a spare waterproof cover?There are 2 serial numbers on the cover:

I've noticed when I was taking a picture in low lighting conditions with the newly installed camera lens so that means it won't produce scratches that I can see flashflooding.there is a hazyness over the left side of the picture.

View 1 Replies View RelatedAfter I updated brand new Xperia Ray to Android 4.0.3 using PC Companion, the front facing camera is no longer active - I cannot find a way to switch from back camera to front.Before the update the switch from back to front camera worked OK.. When I checked Skype the camera was working there but still not working in main Camera application.
Also I cannot find the Sound Recorder but the Settings => Appl shows this aplication as existing on the phone.
I'm currently happy with my Gingerbread but I really want that option to just slide the lcok screen to the left and it will launch the camera app. Right now, in it's place is the Sound option which will let me silence and unsilence the phone by swiping to the left. I hardly use this feature and would be happy to replace it with one for image capturing just like on ICS.
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have an Xperia Active ST17i, android versions 4.0.4, and ever since I bought it I'm trying to find a way to turn off the sound but now luck. I have no option in my camera application. I read on different forums that I need to modify my build.prop file. Can't do that since I can't root my phone. I found the file, I found the line that I need to modify, but can't touch it ofc. I tried factory reset, in the hopes that it would put the camera sound from 1 to 0, but still no luck. I tried to put the phone on silet. Every application is silent, expet for the freakin` camera!!
So how the heck do I turn off that freakin` sound?
i just updated my xperia active to android 4 and the camera is kind of "not working". I do not get a picture from the camera on the screen (i can see the buttons, etc.). This happens independent of using the camera app, camera app in video mode or magnifying glass app. I can shoot pictures, but I can't see, what I am aming at or focus...

(My local bar tender knows to put two coasters down, one for a drink and another for my iPhone), but I recently noticed that on the back camera that the glass is really scratched up that covers the lens. My question is: does anyone know how I can go into a store and get them to switch out my old one for a new one? Like a guaranteed problem I can report that they will swap it for?

What I don't know is the size of the atrix camera covering. The Bbionic looks to be about 7/16" square with slightly rounded corners.
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have an app, Activity Classifier, that uses the handset accelerometers to provide information on activities and total exercise. It automates exercise tracking, classifies activities by type and quantifies aerobic intensity. Live data streamed from an Xperia Arc using the app is displayed in a blog. While it is possible to use on the Active it is unfortunately more difficult on the Active than the Arc because the Active accelerometers have a fault that is hard to get around. The problem is that the accelerometers sometimes take quite a while to start sampling when either started or the sampling frequency is changed.Occasionally it can take longer than 90 seconds. The problem can be seen with the app Accelerometer Frequency. Switch between sampling frequencies and notice that sometimes it switches instantly and sometimes it doesn't. To minimise battery consumption Activity Classifier acquires data from the accelerometers for 6 seconds out of every 30. If no other app is using the accelerometers they will start and stop every sampling period. On the Active they frequently don't start and the app detects a faulty accelerometer. The app has an option to keep accelerometers on and if this is selected it will work OK but battery consumption goes up a lot. The Active comes with a pedometer app called Walkmate. I can see from the Accelerometer Frequency app that Walkmate keeps the acclerometers running at 50 Hz and running Walkmate at the same time as Activity Classifier will make Activity Classifier work OK as well. Walkmate seems pretty power efficient and uses less than half the power of the market leading pedometer app Accupedo, run in power balanced mode, but it counts a different number of steps.

View 2 Replies View Relatedyesterday out of the blue the display on my active stopped working. i connected it to the pc and did a reset/reinstalled the firmware but still no display.i can play music using the original headphones and the headset controls and the home/menu/back buttons light up when i press the unlock key but that's about it.oh yes and i think i managed to unlock the screen even though it was totally back as i could could play/pause music and skip tracks using the screen controls (pressing where i guessed the music controls were).

View 5 Replies View RelatedWhen I woke up this morning my phone was turned off so I try to turn it on by holding the power button, it only flashes the LED (red) 3 times between short pauses, no vibrations then stays turned off.Next, I tried to plug the charger in then holding the power button. still the same symptoms as above.Lastly, I tried plugging the charger / connector to my laptop then plugging the phone in. When I did that, the red LED shows 1 blink on intervals as opposed from the 3 blinks above.I know I still have my warranty but I want at least try and fix it because I don't like going out on weekends (the days of the week where I get to rest) so I'd rather try a fix here at home.

I'm surprised because N8 has that lens protection, so presumably there would be no way to get that dirt inside... if it is really dirt. Or maybe would be a scratched/broken lens?
I see some specs of dust under the back glass of my iPhone4S. How possibly is that? It seems that the glass is perfectly attached to the back, how could they go there? Is there any solution for me to swap them out or how to prevent more dust going underneath the glass? Since there is no Apple service in my country, so it seems that I have to deal with it?

I always take care of my phone and keep it in a case. The scratches arent terrible but it still bothers me, and I'm thinking about replacing the front screen. Notification light bleeds from nylon caps and i am worried if that will have any adverse effect on waterproofing. I bought Z3 on 9th and i am already on 2nd handset, in first hanset notification light bleed was only small dots on 2 places and in the 2nd handset it covers the enture streach of nylon cap.
