Why android just lost contact with cameras? Camera app just dies, it won't start. I don't have logs, as the device is not rooted. Nor can I take nandroid backups. I'd hate to reinstall and configure everything, so I try to avoid wiping.
I've cleaned cache and data from can app, even removed camera updates, and rebooted several times.
my X10 died on me and I assumed it was the battery so recharged it and when I tried to switch it on I just get the SonyEricsson across the screen and nothing more. I cannot even turn it off again. I connected to PC and although the PC did not recognise it I managed to run a repair on it and got it working again and as far as I can tell it has the latest software. I then reconfigured it and loaded the few Apps I use (DME, Birthday Calendar, TV droid, Notes etc - not a huge App user). It all worked fine for about 2 weeks and then died again. I am about to take it to a service centre but thought I might ask if this could be a known software fault ? I dont want to run another repair on it before knowing really what the problem is (by taking it to service centre I am hoping they can get some idea of the problem before re-installing the software.

It only dies when there's 10 % remaining. But now when my phone notifies me that it has 20% remaining bat life in a few secs it notifies me again teling me theres 1% remaining and then my phone is DEAD. How come this happens? And how will i fix this?
View 2 Replies View RelatedOne month old Xperia Z2 just don't charge anymore. It was somewhere around 20% and didn't charge no matter from PC or wall charger. It is flat battery now, I tried the soft reset with power button and volume, phone vibrates 3 times but still its like a cycle. The red light flash, after a while the phone starts by itself, it shows the sony and xperia logo, then battery low and go off. After a while it does the same and keeps repeating it no matter how many hours it have been charging.

I have now sent my WP8.1/CYAN LUMIA 1020 to repair (been without a phone for 1 week). All Nokia Service Repair center was to downgrade phone from CYAN to BLACK and said the issue was done. I am not happy with this solution. My camera dies after upgrading to CYAN update.
View 5 Replies View RelatedIve had my Storm (9530) for about a year and a half now and have had no major issues with it until recently. About 2 weeks ago I noticed it would occasionally turn itself off. It was annoying but I lived with it. But within the last few days its gotten worse. Now it will occasionally turn itself off, display that clock thing, load up, display the verizon logo and then turn itself off again. It will do this over and over until Im able to plug it into a charger somewhere. Then when I really started watching it I noticed that when I made or received a phone call after about 20seconds to a minute into the call it would turn off and start the cycle all over again. When I plugged it in to charge it would finally load all the way, the radio would be disabled due to low battery but after about a minute of charging it shows that I have a full battery. I can then unplug it and use it fine unless I make another phone call. Im not very smart phone smart and have no idea what could be causing this issue. Ive looked around for others having this issue and only found one post where the guy gave in and bought a new battery but that didnt fix his issue. I dont want to spend the money on a new battery just to have the issue comtinue. Additional information: Blackberry Storm 9530 v5.0.0.328 Bluetooth is always off Applications that are running when I hold the BB button (Browser, Phone, Home Screen, and Messages)
View 1 Replies View RelatedI even submitted the phone to the service center and they said they have fixed it, but the issue still persists. My phone (Xperia X10, with the latest software) goes dead (not restart but shut down) , intermittently, at different battery levels (but always less than 15%). I mean, once i get the 15% notification for remaining battery level, it becomes unstable and keep shutting down at different battery levels (12%, 10%, 9%, 6% being the most common ones). I have to reboot the phone everytime it dies. There is no trend for the shut down, ie. sometimes the phone shuts repeatedly at different levels as I keep rebooting, sometimes it shuts just once, and on few occasions it never shuts down. I have performed factory data resets, formatted SD card (16gb SDHC, class2) , used different SD cards but every combination ended up in the same behavior.

It frozes the screen, doesn't catch wi-fi or 3G, crashes when I get the keyboard opened, doesn't let me answer phone calls, reboot automatically, crashes when reading media contente or SD card data, etc. cause I'm used to use my phone for almost everything and this Xperia used to fit perfectly to my routine until the update.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI don't know if this is a problem with Android in general, but my Play's battery will literally die in ~8 hours when not connected to wifi. As I write this, the phone is just sitting here next to me, not being used, and it's drawing 149mA; this number goes up substantially if the phone is actually active, or if I simply hold it in my hand. Obviously, the phone has poor reception and is expending a lot of energy to hold the signal. If I turn wifi on, it's only drawing 1mA! What the heck is the problem? Is this normal?
The facts:
-Only happens while using 3G.
-Only things syncing are one Twitter and one exchange account.
-Not using a live wallpaper.
-Wifi is turned off when I leave the house so as not to keep searching.
I'm getting so tired of monitoring this things battery. I just want to use my phone.
I've got a 2g unlocked. Nothing installed but the sinful MMS package (but it did this before I installed it anyways). Maybe once or twice every week or two the battery will drain rather quickly during the day. It'll last from 8am - 6pm off a full nights charge. So once it dies, I'll try to turn it back on but it remains dead. As soon as i plug it in, it turns on as usual but then reads 50% battery. The remaining "50%" then takes about an hour to drain to zero again.
The battery has been calibrated and most days it works perfectly fine (2-3 days per charge)I think I've noticed that this happens on a day where I might use the phone a little more than average, but definitely not enough to make this drastic change.
Bold 9700 running 6.0, battery suddenly drains dies and phone shuts off, even though there is charge left.I've made sure to exit and close apps so they don't drain in the background.Tried replacing the phone through the carrier.

View 5 Replies View RelatedI have discovered that post lollipop software update (not to android 5 but the update to it) the start up chime is now linked to the media volume and not the system volume.
This means that if I'm listening to music or watching a movie and leave the media volume up, the chime will play - incredibly annoying considering the system is on silent.
I just bought my Sony Z5 today and on unpacking it and getting it up and running I am finding that it runs hot even while charging and that was not what my old Z3 did.
Secondly I cannot connect bluetooth to my Yamaha soundbar which did work with the Z3.
Last but not least I took it out to send some pics of Edinburgh for a friend and it seems like the camera is still focusing when the pic is taken, the pics are coming out all fuzzy.
