BB Desktop Software :: Phone Dies In Boot-up - Can Recover Files?
Aug 27, 2010
My blackberry Curve dies as it boots up. I've changed batteries and all that. It is an internal problem. Can I send it someplace to recover the data files from it. I think the password file is screwed up also. HELP.....!!!!!! I was hoping that somebody could take it apart and tap the data bank files for all my texts and what nots.....
my X10 died on me and I assumed it was the battery so recharged it and when I tried to switch it on I just get the SonyEricsson across the screen and nothing more. I cannot even turn it off again. I connected to PC and although the PC did not recognise it I managed to run a repair on it and got it working again and as far as I can tell it has the latest software. I then reconfigured it and loaded the few Apps I use (DME, Birthday Calendar, TV droid, Notes etc - not a huge App user). It all worked fine for about 2 weeks and then died again. I am about to take it to a service centre but thought I might ask if this could be a known software fault ? I dont want to run another repair on it before knowing really what the problem is (by taking it to service centre I am hoping they can get some idea of the problem before re-installing the software.
I'd just update d phone to lollipop few weeks ago. Ever since then, my phone became very slow n freeze very often. Sometimes it will automatically turned off on its own.
This morning, when I was reading mail n updating some apps, it freezes.
So I went fastboot n try to wipe cache. But it keeps failed to mount cache... Err... Ok. So try turned it off n leave it for a while. After bout 10mins, I try turn it back on, it stuck on d bootloop screen for an hour.
My Bold 9650 died and would not respond to anything. Thinking the battery had drained I plugged it into the A/C charger, but nothing - no red light, no response. I then plugged it into the car charger and about 15 minutes later it started to re-boot.After an hour on the car charger it read full charge and I thought all was good. However, after 3 phone calls it went dead again. Thinking it was the battery, I replaced it with a new one - nothing. Took the old battery and plugged it into another 9650 and it booted up with 100% battery. I'm now thinking it's something in the phone, but don't understand why it works on the car charger and nothing else. I did find that if I charge it on the car charger, and then attached to either A/C or USB I can get it to last longer, but as soon as I unplug it I've got about an hour or one phone call before it's dead again.
My kid locked my LG G3 by entering many times a wrong unlock pattern. Now I can see just a lock screen and I can't use the two available options to unlock it which are:
1. entering a PIN - I didn't set one 2. unlocking with my Google account - I don't have Internet and I cant use this. I can neither turn my data connection on nor enable my wi-fi because I can only see the lock screen.
This is how my phone is somehow soft bricked, because I can't do anything with it. I can only reset it by removing all files and settings from recovery mode but I want to save my files. So, the question is how can I recover my files in this situation? Here are all of the details:
- my phone is not rooted - I can enter in download and recovery mode - I DO NOT have usb debugging on, I can't use ADB - I remember my unlock pattern and my Google account credentials, but I can't use them. - I don't have Android Device Manager enabled, I can't unlock from: google.com/android/devicemanager
Try to use data recovery application eg recuva, testdisk .. to recover my lost whatsapp media files from phone internal storage, but the application totally can't detect my phone.
So I accidentally deleted files off my internal storage in an attempt to free it up (it said miscellaneous but didn't realise this included all my received whatsapp pics and videos).
So I've read that I need to root my phone in order to try recover these, I've so far downloaded odin and ran the pda which passed. Then I put SUSuper I think on my internal storage and from this point my phone stopped following the tutorial.
My wife has a Z3, and this week all her photos (set to save to SD card) suddenyl appeared on internal memory as well as duplicates. I assumed it was a OneDrive sync anomly so moved them all off. Then, yesterday some video files that are on our desktop PC (not in a OneDrive folder) suddenly appeared on the Z3 internal memory. The only sync client installed is OneDrive - also Sony PC companion..
I've had my droid x for about a year and a half.I've downloaded pictures two or three times but not lately. The other day I downloaded 900 some pictures, mostly web pictures that I did not realize were in the phone, plus 100 or so of my photo's.I instructed the computer to delete the pictures in the phone. After the pictures were downloaded I was playing a game on the phone when Zap! the screen reverted to the screen that was on the phone when it was new, minus all the icons, apps and folders I had accumulated. The apps were still in the app folder, some were intact, some weren't, such as my audio books inside the book app weren't there. Also now when I talk on the phone I have to use the speaker. No audio what so ever comes out of the ear piece.Any suggestions oh how to recover my desktop(s)? and to get the ear piece speaker working?
I've just recieved my 9700 today, and when it boots up, the loading screen completes, but the desktop won't appear. The BlackBerry logo with the white loadingarea (see attached image from Google) is "frozen" on the screen...
The Desktop Manager cannot connect to the phone eighter.I've tried removing the battery, sim-card and SD-card, but nothing helps..
I have a Samsung galaxy s5, sm-g900a. I installed an app "callx call recorder" and accidentally deleted the files. I need these files for a custody battle and cannot find any way to recover the deleted files. The files were stored on the device, not the sd card. The phone is encrypted, and was before the loss of the files. It is imperative that I recover these files for my case.
When I updated my 4s to the IOS 5.1 the back up did not work. I had to restore since my phone was going wack and now the back up is saying it wont work and it will not let me sync. Is there any way I can get my backup files, I can not afford to lose them. Do they save somewhere on the computer? I am just so mad that I lost all my photos and memos and all that good stuff.
Ive had my Storm (9530) for about a year and a half now and have had no major issues with it until recently. About 2 weeks ago I noticed it would occasionally turn itself off. It was annoying but I lived with it. But within the last few days its gotten worse. Now it will occasionally turn itself off, display that clock thing, load up, display the verizon logo and then turn itself off again. It will do this over and over until Im able to plug it into a charger somewhere. Then when I really started watching it I noticed that when I made or received a phone call after about 20seconds to a minute into the call it would turn off and start the cycle all over again. When I plugged it in to charge it would finally load all the way, the radio would be disabled due to low battery but after about a minute of charging it shows that I have a full battery. I can then unplug it and use it fine unless I make another phone call. Im not very smart phone smart and have no idea what could be causing this issue. Ive looked around for others having this issue and only found one post where the guy gave in and bought a new battery but that didnt fix his issue. I dont want to spend the money on a new battery just to have the issue comtinue. Additional information: Blackberry Storm 9530 v5.0.0.328 Bluetooth is always off Applications that are running when I hold the BB button (Browser, Phone, Home Screen, and Messages)
Why android just lost contact with cameras? Camera app just dies, it won't start. I don't have logs, as the device is not rooted. Nor can I take nandroid backups. I'd hate to reinstall and configure everything, so I try to avoid wiping.
I've cleaned cache and data from can app, even removed camera updates, and rebooted several times.
I have a nokia 6303 classic phone and to update the software backed up everything. however due to virus, i had to full format my pc and then installed windows xp...i have tried recovering all the data using the software RecoverMyFiles however it fails to recover any of those backed up files...i had my messages my contacts my dates all backed up..
I have a problem with my phone. I want to get back the deleted pictures. I am using Nokia n86 8mp. Theses pictures was in the mass memory. So can I get these pictures through a PC recovery application?
It is no longer possible to mount the phone as a mass storage device? I stupidly deleted a photo that I would really like to recover (i swear its not boobs!) and have now tried to use 3 different programs to recover it - Wonderphone, Yodot and Stellar Phoenix but none of them can see my phone because it is loaded as a device not mass storage.
I got my phone last february. I don't have any problem in its battery life until now. My notifies me when 20% and 15% battery life is left. It only dies when there's 10 % remaining. But now when my phone notifies me that it has 20% remaining bat life in a few secs it notifies me again teling me theres 1% remaining and then my phone is DEAD. How come this happens? And how will i fix this?
I inserted the M2 card into the card reader, copied a few files and then took off the reader and put it back on the cell phone. Now, it wouldn't get the card. Again put it on the card reader, clicking on it, says that: Do you want to format? What to do to recover my files in it?
Yesterday, I picked up a new iPhone 4. I went to work, downloaded 4.0.1, downgraded the phone successfully, and jailbroke it. I hit the "Make it Easy" button and figured that when I got home I'd capture the SHSH files using Umbrella.By the time I got home, Apple had stopped signing 4.0.1 - I must have squeaked by just in time. Cydia still says, "Pending TSS request", but I think that means that Cydia didn't get it in time.Is there any possible way to get the blobs off of the PC at work? I know that itunes deleted them as soon as it was done with them, but has anyone ever recoverd them before? I hadn't done much with the PC the rest of the day, so there's a pretty good chance that they haven't been overwritten yet.
One month old Xperia Z2 just don't charge anymore. It was somewhere around 20% and didn't charge no matter from PC or wall charger. It is flat battery now, I tried the soft reset with power button and volume, phone vibrates 3 times but still its like a cycle. The red light flash, after a while the phone starts by itself, it shows the sony and xperia logo, then battery low and go off. After a while it does the same and keeps repeating it no matter how many hours it have been charging.
My Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, with the latest updates, is dying _sometimes_, whenever I receive a call or dial someone. It is not always reproducible, but I managed to reproduce it while it was attached to LogCat, so here's the exception:

I need recovering some data that i had before i upgraded from Kitkat to Lollipop. Is there any way that i could possibly recover. I had backed up the data but some odd reason the PC suite isn't completing the operation. I really need those files.
I tried to make a factory reset. I formatted memory card, removed it, made factory restart again, nothing helps. My Nokia just dies when I try to make a call or even when I try to receive it.
