Sep 10, 2010I had a 1G ipod touch for a while and ad my collection in itunes and the ipod. Then due a hard drive failure, I had to start itunes over because after that point, I finally got an external hard drive. My ipod died during the process (unrelated). This happened a little while ago, and my new iPhone is set to be delivered in a couple days. Are my paid apps lost forever? I am afraid to download any paid apps since I'm not sure if I will be charged for it. Is there any way to recover them?

Jun 26, 2014I used to have an old LG flip-phone and an iPod Touch. I lost the iPod Touch about six months ago. This week I got my iPhone. I had to go to the Verizon store to have them take all the contacts off the LG phone and put them onto my iPod.Â
I had painstakingly pared down my iTunes music library to choice selection of checked items that were small enough to fit on the iPod touch. I didn't want to go through that process again, so I hooked my iPhone up to my computer for the first time, opened iTunes, and synced with the iPod touch backup on my computer. It would have been smart to have backed up the iPhone first, but I didn't. Since I couldn't text with the iPod Touch, it didn't occur to me that the existing texts on my iPhone would be overwritten.Â
Now all the media files and apps from my old iPod Touch are on my new iPhone 5. The new iPhone apps I downloaded yesterday are on there, too. But the contacts and texts have vanished.Â
To review: no iTunes backup of iPhone data. No iCloud backup, either-- I've never used iCloud before.Â
I downloaded Wondershare's iPhone Data Recovery program and used it to scan data on the device. The scan shows 0 contacts and only the 2 text messages that I've received this evening. Curiously, it does have my entire call history from the last week.Â
So is there any way to recover the texts from this last week?

Mar 11, 2012When I updated my 4s to the IOS 5.1 the back up did not work. I had to restore since my phone was going wack and now the back up is saying it wont work and it will not let me sync. Is there any way I can get my backup files, I can not afford to lose them. Do they save somewhere on the computer? I am just so mad that I lost all my photos and memos and all that good stuff.

Jan 2, 2016My kid locked my LG G3 by entering many times a wrong unlock pattern. Now I can see just a lock screen and I can't use the two available options to unlock it which are:
1. entering a PIN - I didn't set one
2. unlocking with my Google account - I don't have Internet and I cant use this. I can neither turn my data connection on nor enable my wi-fi because I can only see the lock screen.
This is how my phone is somehow soft bricked, because I can't do anything with it. I can only reset it by removing all files and settings from recovery mode but I want to save my files. So, the question is how can I recover my files in this situation? Here are all of the details:
- my phone is not rooted
- I can enter in download and recovery mode
- I DO NOT have usb debugging on, I can't use ADB
- I remember my unlock pattern and my Google account credentials, but I can't use them.
- I don't have Android Device Manager enabled, I can't unlock from: google.com/android/devicemanager

Apr 23, 2012I had an iPhone 3GS that was no longer under contract. Yesterday, I bought an iPhone 4S from Verizon and switched my phone number from the 3GS to the 4S. After transferring all of my apps and other data to the new 4S phone, I reset the 3GS to the original factory settings and gave it to my mother, to use as an iPod touch. It works fine. She can connect to wifi, check email, sync with iTunes, download apps under her iTunes account, etc. The phone has never been "jailbroken" or had SIM cards swapped out, or anything similar. It still has the original SIM card that that I bought the phone with, in August 2009.
Now that the 3GS is working as an iPod Touch, do I need to remove the SIM card? Should I? My concern is that AT&T will hit me with some nefarious fee at some point in the future for reasons that I don't understand. Should this be a concern?
