Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Phone Dies When When 10% Battery Remaining
Jun 29, 2012
I got my phone last february. I don't have any problem in its battery life until now. My notifies me when 20% and 15% battery life is left. It only dies when there's 10 % remaining. But now when my phone notifies me that it has 20% remaining bat life in a few secs it notifies me again teling me theres 1% remaining and then my phone is DEAD. How come this happens? And how will i fix this?
I have a 2.5 yr old 3GS that has been great however I have started to notice that it shutting off as if the battery has died. My battery meter reads anywhere from 10-20% remaining. What is happening? How can I prolong the battery life? I am also noticing that my key pad is delayed and will be up to 10 characters behind before they catch up. It there something that I can do without restoring the entire phone that will fix some of these problems?
The last few weeks my droid turbo has been acting up. The first time it shut down it showed 28% battery remaining, second time 33%, then again yesterday it shut down showing 73% then again showing 78%. Today it shut down again showing 78%.
I plug it in for ten minutes after each shutdown and it will work again and show that the batter level went up while charging.
I even submitted the phone to the service center and they said they have fixed it, but the issue still persists. My phone (Xperia X10, with the latest software) goes dead (not restart but shut down) , intermittently, at different battery levels (but always less than 15%). I mean, once i get the 15% notification for remaining battery level, it becomes unstable and keep shutting down at different battery levels (12%, 10%, 9%, 6% being the most common ones). I have to reboot the phone everytime it dies. There is no trend for the shut down, ie. sometimes the phone shuts repeatedly at different levels as I keep rebooting, sometimes it shuts just once, and on few occasions it never shuts down. I have performed factory data resets, formatted SD card (16gb SDHC, class2) , used different SD cards but every combination ended up in the same behavior.
just bought a brand new SE xperia play and what surprised me the most the battery last only for 9hrs on standby when fully charged. I didn't make any phone calls and the fone has died after 9hrs since fully charged.
I don't know if this is a problem with Android in general, but my Play's battery will literally die in ~8 hours when not connected to wifi. As I write this, the phone is just sitting here next to me, not being used, and it's drawing 149mA; this number goes up substantially if the phone is actually active, or if I simply hold it in my hand. Obviously, the phone has poor reception and is expending a lot of energy to hold the signal. If I turn wifi on, it's only drawing 1mA! What the heck is the problem? Is this normal?
The facts:
-Only happens while using 3G.
-Only things syncing are one Twitter and one exchange account.
-Not using a live wallpaper.
-Wifi is turned off when I leave the house so as not to keep searching.
I'm getting so tired of monitoring this things battery. I just want to use my phone.
my X10 died on me and I assumed it was the battery so recharged it and when I tried to switch it on I just get the SonyEricsson across the screen and nothing more. I cannot even turn it off again. I connected to PC and although the PC did not recognise it I managed to run a repair on it and got it working again and as far as I can tell it has the latest software. I then reconfigured it and loaded the few Apps I use (DME, Birthday Calendar, TV droid, Notes etc - not a huge App user). It all worked fine for about 2 weeks and then died again. I am about to take it to a service centre but thought I might ask if this could be a known software fault ? I dont want to run another repair on it before knowing really what the problem is (by taking it to service centre I am hoping they can get some idea of the problem before re-installing the software.
I've got a 2g unlocked. Nothing installed but the sinful MMS package (but it did this before I installed it anyways). Maybe once or twice every week or two the battery will drain rather quickly during the day. It'll last from 8am - 6pm off a full nights charge. So once it dies, I'll try to turn it back on but it remains dead. As soon as i plug it in, it turns on as usual but then reads 50% battery. The remaining "50%" then takes about an hour to drain to zero again.
The battery has been calibrated and most days it works perfectly fine (2-3 days per charge)I think I've noticed that this happens on a day where I might use the phone a little more than average, but definitely not enough to make this drastic change.
Bold 9700 running 6.0, battery suddenly drains dies and phone shuts off, even though there is charge left.I've made sure to exit and close apps so they don't drain in the background.Tried replacing the phone through the carrier.
Why android just lost contact with cameras? Camera app just dies, it won't start. I don't have logs, as the device is not rooted. Nor can I take nandroid backups. I'd hate to reinstall and configure everything, so I try to avoid wiping.
I've cleaned cache and data from can app, even removed camera updates, and rebooted several times.
One month old Xperia Z2 just don't charge anymore. It was somewhere around 20% and didn't charge no matter from PC or wall charger. It is flat battery now, I tried the soft reset with power button and volume, phone vibrates 3 times but still its like a cycle. The red light flash, after a while the phone starts by itself, it shows the sony and xperia logo, then battery low and go off. After a while it does the same and keeps repeating it no matter how many hours it have been charging.
My Sony Xperia Z3 Compact, with the latest updates, is dying _sometimes_, whenever I receive a call or dial someone. It is not always reproducible, but I managed to reproduce it while it was attached to LogCat, so here's the exception:
09-13 18:49:01.529: E/ACDB-LOADER(316): Error: ACDB AudProc vol returned = -19 09-13 18:49:01.814: E/ContactPhotoManager(31219): No contact photo service in context: com.android.incallui.InCallApp@1a85823f 09-13 18:49:01.832: E/AudioMixer(316): AudioMixer::getTrackName out of available tracks 09-13 18:49:01.832: E/AudioFlinger(316): no more track names available
While updating to iOS 7.1.2, my iphone 5 had frozen at around 50%. and when i reboot, my phone turn off itself even though it is 88% battery remaining... since a couple of weeks my battery is not able to last a whole day...
I've seen quite a few screenshots where people's battery were saying 21 hours for estimated usage time remaining at 100%, and some have been getting 2 days of use, even if it's minimal. My question is how is that even possible, when after a full charge to 100%, my estimated usage time remaining is only 10 hours?? This is my 2nd S6 as the first one had a camera problem, but both only estimate 10 hours when full.
I've had my Lumia 710 for a few months now and over the past week the remaining battery life percentage is way wrong. For instance, one day I noticed my battery icon was really low so I went to check the % and it said it was -4%. I was even able to make a 10 minute call and it never died on me. A few days ago I had about 70% but when I checked the phone a few minutes later it was around 10%. A few times I've even had it die on me and it never gives me the critical battery warning. This morning it was dead when I woke up so I brought my charger to work. After charging only 30 minutes it said I had 57% battery. But now 4 hours later I'm sitting at 98% and it looks like it won't go past that. Is something wrong with my battery or could the battery life indicator just be way off?
Nokia, I have Nokia 2700 classic and I would like to see remaining battery in percentage (like in Sony-Ericsson). Nothing more, nothing less. The best solution would be to see it in stand-by mode.
I have a blackberry 8520, I have had it for about 2 months now. My blackberry battery gets really hot than within the hour the battery dies. This happens randomly. First time it happened to me I was in a movie theatre and had the phone on silent. The second time it happened I was wearing it on my belt clip and had it on loud. I do not keep any apps running and usually only use the phone for txts and email. My fiancee bought his blackberry curve 8520 the same day and he has the same problem. My blackberry is updated with the latest software. Any one else have this same issue?
Perhaps I didn't calibrate my battery meter correctly, but if I drain my battery it dies at 9% most of the time. This happen to anyone else? With lithium ion batteries I'm pretty sure that the battery is pre configured in the OS for the stock battery specifically, so that the meter doesn't need to be calibrated. Anyone have any thoughts?
In the past week, my phone has started dying at 20-30%. When I plug it in to charge, it starts charging at the same charge it died at. Will a restore in iTunes help that, or do I just need to replace the battery or phone? Or, will updating to iOS 5.1.1 help that (I am running at 5.1)?
My Iphone 4s used to turn off with 10-20% battery, now it turns off with more than 40% and it turns on imediately when I plug it in the charger, what can I doMy Iphone 4s used to turn off with 10-20% battery, now it turns off with more than 40% and it turns on imediately when I plug it in the charger, what can I do?
This just happened recently. I can feel the thing in my pocket heating up. The battery goes from full charge to empty in the matter of a couple hours.
Oddly though, this morning it said I had no service and my phone was normal temp and the battery lasted a long time. Or course i needed services so I turned the phone off and on and the service was back and so was the hot phone.
The phone is over a year old. I've tried all of the trick. Hard Reboot. Reset all of my settings etc.
my phone dies so fast. I was told by rogers to reload my cell through blackberry. So i tried. and when I click on update there is nothing in the left corner. They told me to hit the View other versions and the nothing is there. I did order another battery just incase but it sucks that half way through school I have no cell.
Battery dischrges rapidly. And yes, I do all the right things for battery life management. It even discharges when the BB is turned off. I replaced the battery already. I think it may have been caused when I upgraded to the new 6 OS. Has this happened to anyone and is there a fix?
I just got iphone 3gs from a friend. Changed the battery at a authorized workshop but have a problem. My iphone dies always then it reaches 73%. Claims battery suddenly empty. Running 5.1. Is this a known glitch or something?
My battery dies when I make calls. Also my battery will randomly drop from 80% to 5% in a few seconds. Its getting to the point where I am unable to use my phone unless it is constently pluged in.
My only use of the phone has been reading an email and reading a few posts on facebook and the battery does not last. Is there a way to know what is going on?
I upgraded my Verizon BB Bold 9650 yesterday to OS6. I had it on charge during the upgrade process so it was fully charged around 10:30 pm last night. This morning it had shut itself off due to low battery. So I charged it again and made sure that WIFI and Bluetooth were switched off. I had it charged to ~50% at 9:30 am today and now, at 12:30, it's dead again.
I used to get at least 2.5 days on one charge with OS5. Now I seem to be getting about 6 hours total with OS6.
