Apr 15, 2012I have a 2.5 yr old 3GS that has been great however I have started to notice that it shutting off as if the battery has died. My battery meter reads anywhere from 10-20% remaining. What is happening? How can I prolong the battery life? I am also noticing that my key pad is delayed and will be up to 10 characters behind before they catch up. It there something that I can do without restoring the entire phone that will fix some of these problems?

Oct 3, 2012I've had my Lumia 710 for a few months now and over the past week the remaining battery life percentage is way wrong. For instance, one day I noticed my battery icon was really low so I went to check the % and it said it was -4%. I was even able to make a 10 minute call and it never died on me. A few days ago I had about 70% but when I checked the phone a few minutes later it was around 10%. A few times I've even had it die on me and it never gives me the critical battery warning.This morning it was dead when I woke up so I brought my charger to work. After charging only 30 minutes it said I had 57% battery. But now 4 hours later I'm sitting at 98% and it looks like it won't go past that. Is something wrong with my battery or could the battery life indicator just be way off?

My question is how is that even possible, when after a full charge to 100%, my estimated usage time remaining is only 10 hours?? This is my 2nd S6 as the first one had a camera problem, but both only estimate 10 hours when full.

Jul 26, 2015The last few weeks my droid turbo has been acting up. The first time it shut down it showed 28% battery remaining, second time 33%, then again yesterday it shut down showing 73% then again showing 78%. Today it shut down again showing 78%.
I plug it in for ten minutes after each shutdown and it will work again and show that the batter level went up while charging.

Motorola Defy :: Battery Life And Up Time
Oct 20, 2011I have noticed the battery on my defy+ goes down to 90% from full charge within an hour. This is my 3rd charge and I charged it for 3 hour for the first time like it said in the user manual. After it goes to 90% the battery holds good charge. It lasted me 12 hours with me playing around on it all night. Also I had my phone on for 2 days and I checked the phone up time in the settings and it said 55 mins. So I don't know if it has been rebooting itself maybe because of updates or a problem.

Jul 29, 2010I have had my Blackberry 9700 for about 5 months. In the beginning I would get about three days out of my battery, with normal use. About a month ago I noticed the data symbol operating all the time (data in and data out) and my battery started lasting less than a day (even on days that it was hardly or never used). I took it back to Telstra (Australia) who sent it away and then provided me with a replacement (with no explanation of what was wrong with the first one.) Unfortunately the new one does exactly the same thing!
I have been on numerous websites looking for an answer to no avail. I have tried all the battery saving hints and check I leave nothing open. I have rebooted daily, still to no avail. I am on the brink of tossing it and going back to Nokia, which is a great shame as I had been really enjoying my Blackberry until now. The nature of my business means that I have to have a phone that is reliable and will work for more than 12 hours away from a power source.
I feel something is operating behind the scenes but I have added nothing. I haven't even put my email on this new one yet and I am a little tech challenged so I have loaded no new apps or anything, it is as new.

Apr 30, 2010I’ve got a BlackBerry Curve 8900 (ATT, running 4.2.0.108), and have had it since Oct. 2009. Battery life has always been OK - 24 to 48 hrs. between recharges.
Today though, after pulling it off the charger this morning around 8:00 a.m., I’ve noticed that I’m down to about 5% charge by 2:30 p.m. I have made no phone calls today, and have only sent/received a couple texts and rec’d two emails. I've never used a holster, have downloaded no apps, Bluetooth and Wi-Fi are both off. No keys appear to be sticking. Absolutely nothing, to my knowledge, of any significance has changed on the phone since October, yet all of a sudden --literally, overnight --I am experiencing this greatly diminished battery life. The only even remotely precipitating factor I can think of is that I did a battery pull yesterday, after deleting some old photos and emails.
I’ve searched the forum, and most of the suggestions are along the lines of “turn off bluetooth/wi-fi/update OS,” but as noted, I never used those anyhow, and the OS has always been good to me.

Nokia :: 5230 - Battery - GPS Is Useless - Clock Is Not Showing The Right Time
Mar 15, 2010I'm about to loose hope on my Nokia 5230. The first was the battery problem. It was empty in a day and a half on very moderate use (swiched off during the night). When I recalibrated the battery the things got better but still far away from the specs on Nokia site. And yes; I have tried all the tricks to save the energy (GSM only, 30% screen brightness, no bluetooth,....).
The second I discovered, that the GPS is basicly useless. It wont lock on the sattelites no matter what.The GPS was one of the main reasons to buy 5230. If someone got lucky to find some sattelites - how good is the accuracy? Is in the range of 6 meters or less as with Garmin?
Now I have discovered, that the clock is not showing the right time. It is loosing minutes as someone said to it that one hour has only 59 or 58 minutes. I still have to discover the logic how the clock is counting minutes. I have tried with and without automatic time update. By the way; the phone has the last firmware.
So if the clock is useless then the alarm is useless and I can't use it on my buisness trips.
Is there anyone else with the same problems? Is there any solution to this clock problem? Some settings I've missed?
Someone would say; for the price everything can not be perfect.
So, is this the logic (Nokia logic):
-we will put in the GPS, but because of a low price it won't find some sattelites
-we will put the battery in the phone but because of the low price it won't last more than two days
-the phone will have the clock but because of the low price it will not show the right time

Feb 23, 2010battery life for the Storm 2 , in my opinion is OK running .320 and not to sound arrogant or jerky, cause Im a humble guy, but battery life on my Tank's Hybrid ACT 2 (.497) 95X0 hass been really great.
is battery life between the Storm 1 (newest build) and Storm 2 really that much different? Think about it.Well, I dont think that much.I think the same if not better especially with ACT 2.This certainly isnt an advertisement for my Hybrid so I apologize in advace -- please read on.
What we dont think about is this.The Storm 1 's click needed no energy, just the enrgy from our fingers , right? Well the Storm 2's click was revamped using piezo technology (genius!) to give us this hassle free click which is 10 times better to say the least. What WE dont think about is that this NEW technology in the Storm 2 is electronic and requires a Power source which is the battery. of course point being is that:
1.) we dont realize how many times we click the screen a day and
2.) how much battery energy is actually used to power the screen click.
The Storm 2 is ALMOST the same phone -- its the same CPU.we do have more built in memory and a newer screen (way better color saturation, the Storm 1 was a very cold color scheme, very blueish tint)So in turn, we must recognize the fact that we have the same if not better battery life with the same battery and MORE energy being used to power the phone (screen clicks)
Now I believe this supports my claim.I BELIEVE the "CLICK" is partly controlled by the OS's power scheme.I believe the OS talks to the battery and the phone to manage the power used to "click" this is why we ALL see an inconsistent screen click softer but yet more responsive or "smart" after a fresh charge and the later in the day, maybe a more lazy click still a "satisfactory" click, but yet and not to be ignored, a different click.Of course I will agree that different builds and/or .cods will control the click, but I believe it only controls the "default" click set forth buy that build number.ie. .320 vs .428 or .428 vs .464 or .464 vs .497
Just my 2 cents to throw in so when we all, including myself, complain about a slightly different screen click throughout the day and battery life that isnt where we want it to be.I always keep in mind "Hey RIM, not to shabby of a job keeping battery life similar to the Storm 1 considering we run more apps (due to more memory) and ALL of the thousands of screen clicks we make everyday"
