Last night (08/01/2016) I updated my Sony z5 to the latest software and my camera isn't working I've tried in other apps same problem. Also phone is overheating which it hasn't done before.

1. When I press the button to activate the camera, it will not start the camera app anymore.
2. When I start the (default) camera app manually, it will start, leave the content of the viewfinder black and freeze: I need to reboot the phone because none of the buttons (back, menu, home) will react.
3. Alternatively, after about 2 minutes the frozen application will kill itself (I have no autokiller installed!)
Would uninstalling and re-installing the (default) camera app If yes, how would I get it uninstalled and where would I get the camera.apk to download from to re-install it?
The camera on my x8 has stopped working all of a sudden. When I turn on the camera, the screen looks pixelted, and when I take a picture the screen goes black. I just updated the software today (4 may 2011) and it has not fixed the problem. Will I have to take my phone back to the shop to have it sent away?
View 2 Replies View RelatedI recently got my x10i from a friend who had never updated it from the original 1.6 android version that it came with, so i have updated to the recent gingerbread update. The problem is that since the update, the buil in camera app will open, but as soon as i press the shutter button (or use the touch function) to take a picture it hangs and won't do anything until i exit. All the while it is hanging it is actively displaying whatever i point it at, but it won't take a picture. The annoying thing is that other camera apps such as camera360 work fine and will take photos, but i want to be able to use the face recognition and video functionality of the built in app.

What happens is that when I take a picture, the camera makes the shutter sound, and then just goes to a blank dark screen. The phone is still on and can go back to the menus. Just noticed that my front facing cam isn't working when I toggle it in the menu, both on phone's cam and Nokia cam. The screen appears black momentarily, and then it revert to homescreen.
I am not sure if it was this way when on W8.0 'cos I didn't test it then.

I can hear a click when I open the app, or when I switch from the front camera to the rear one - is that a normal sound? View 5 Replies View RelatedI bought Sony Xperia Z2 a few weeks ago.. im noticing that in the night when i take pictures ,specially portraits ,they r very blur & not upto the mark.. in the daylight camera works fine...but nights pics look very bad.. no sharpness n clarity at all .
Also i have noticed that the moment camera takes picture its pretty clear but after some processing for about few seconds the image looks very soft n blur. i have tried all the modes n scenes n 20mp shots also.

When i open any camera app, and i really mean any, the display shows me a blurry, wrong colored image, and when i press the button to take the picture, the shutter sound sounds, the display turns black, the app freezes and the picture is not saved.I have repaired the update several times, through PC Companion and Service Update.
