Xperia X10 :: Dies And Wont Boot Up Repair Works For Short Time Then Dies Again?
Dec 14, 2011my X10 died on me and I assumed it was the battery so recharged it and when I tried to switch it on I just get the SonyEricsson across the screen and nothing more. I cannot even turn it off again. I connected to PC and although the PC did not recognise it I managed to run a repair on it and got it working again and as far as I can tell it has the latest software. I then reconfigured it and loaded the few Apps I use (DME, Birthday Calendar, TV droid, Notes etc - not a huge App user). It all worked fine for about 2 weeks and then died again. I am about to take it to a service centre but thought I might ask if this could be a known software fault ? I dont want to run another repair on it before knowing really what the problem is (by taking it to service centre I am hoping they can get some idea of the problem before re-installing the software.

May 14, 2011I even submitted the phone to the service center and they said they have fixed it, but the issue still persists. My phone (Xperia X10, with the latest software) goes dead (not restart but shut down) , intermittently, at different battery levels (but always less than 15%). I mean, once i get the 15% notification for remaining battery level, it becomes unstable and keep shutting down at different battery levels (12%, 10%, 9%, 6% being the most common ones). I have to reboot the phone everytime it dies. There is no trend for the shut down, ie. sometimes the phone shuts repeatedly at different levels as I keep rebooting, sometimes it shuts just once, and on few occasions it never shuts down. I have performed factory data resets, formatted SD card (16gb SDHC, class2) , used different SD cards but every combination ended up in the same behavior.

Jun 6, 2012I'm from Peru and I bought a Xperia Mini Pro last year. I downloaded ICS a few weeks ago and since then I doesn't have a day when my phone causes problems. It frozes the screen, doesn't catch wi-fi or 3G, crashes when I get the keyboard opened, doesn't let me answer phone calls, reboot automatically, crashes when reading media contente or SD card data, etc. cause I'm used to use my phone for almost everything and this Xperia used to fit perfectly to my routine until the update.

Jul 3, 2010Why android just lost contact with cameras? Camera app just dies, it won't start. I don't have logs, as the device is not rooted. Nor can I take nandroid backups. I'd hate to reinstall and configure everything, so I try to avoid wiping.
I've cleaned cache and data from can app, even removed camera updates, and rebooted several times.

Aug 1, 2011just bought a brand new SE xperia play and what surprised me the most the battery last only for 9hrs on standby when fully charged. I didn't make any phone calls and the fone has died after 9hrs since fully charged.

Jun 29, 2012I got my phone last february. I don't have any problem in its battery life until now. My notifies me when 20% and 15% battery life is left. It only dies when there's 10 % remaining. But now when my phone notifies me that it has 20% remaining bat life in a few secs it notifies me again teling me theres 1% remaining and then my phone is DEAD. How come this happens? And how will i fix this?

Dec 9, 2014One month old Xperia Z2 just don't charge anymore. It was somewhere around 20% and didn't charge no matter from PC or wall charger. It is flat battery now, I tried the soft reset with power button and volume, phone vibrates 3 times but still its like a cycle. The red light flash, after a while the phone starts by itself, it shows the sony and xperia logo, then battery low and go off. After a while it does the same and keeps repeating it no matter how many hours it have been charging.

Xperia PLAY :: Battery Dies In ~8 Hours While On 3G Connection
Jun 23, 2011I don't know if this is a problem with Android in general, but my Play's battery will literally die in ~8 hours when not connected to wifi. As I write this, the phone is just sitting here next to me, not being used, and it's drawing 149mA; this number goes up substantially if the phone is actually active, or if I simply hold it in my hand. Obviously, the phone has poor reception and is expending a lot of energy to hold the signal. If I turn wifi on, it's only drawing 1mA! What the heck is the problem? Is this normal?
The facts:
-Only happens while using 3G.
-Only things syncing are one Twitter and one exchange account.
-Not using a live wallpaper.
-Wifi is turned off when I leave the house so as not to keep searching.
I'm getting so tired of monitoring this things battery. I just want to use my phone.

May 7, 2012I upgraded my OS version from GB to ICS 4.0.3 on Xperia Neo V in the month of April 2012.Had issues with Wi-fi, battery, icon size and etc, so immediately went to Service centre and got my phone OS version downgraded to its original version GB 2.3.4. Felt very much comfortable with GB.Would like to know if there are any improvements done to ICS latest version, If yes, would like to try ICS version again.

So I have an app that's hogging up my phone memory which I don't use? Part of the changes seems to be that I get new message notifications in the middle of my lock screen (meaning I press the power button and my screen goes from blank to the lock screen, and in the middle of that is a notification that says I have "New messages:1" with a envelope icon beside it. I've checked sms, email, whatsapp, skype, handcent, etc etc and I cant find any messages that are new. The notification bar is empty. I've also tried sending myself a message to see if it will clear, but it wont. I'd previously cancelled voice mail on the carrier side too.

Aug 1, 2010I dropped my iPhone, cracked the screen and LCD, replaced both, as well as the inner plastic bezel holding them together. Now, the LCD doesnt turn on and the touch screen will not respond. The backlight wont even turn on .It is still on, responds when I plug it into USB, it still vibrates and has its files and will be picked up by iTunes, but the screen is black with no display, no backlight and as far as I can tell the touchscreen is not working.And the kicker is that it was working for a few seconds, when I first put everything together, I just took it apart to get the home button to be seated properly, and bam, all of a sudden everything stops working.Frustrating indeed ! Would anyone be able to help me out please ? I am sick that it seems I will have to buy another part, but, if it will fix it then it's worth it !
