Xperia Pro/Neo/V/L :: Upgraded From GB To ICS And Then Back To GB Again?
May 7, 2012
I upgraded my OS version from GB to ICS 4.0.3 on Xperia Neo V in the month of April 2012.Had issues with Wi-fi, battery, icon size and etc, so immediately went to Service centre and got my phone OS version downgraded to its original version GB 2.3.4. Felt very much comfortable with GB.Would like to know if there are any improvements done to ICS latest version, If yes, would like to try ICS version again.
Is it possible to get back to iOS 4.3.x once you upgraded to iOS 5? My iPhone 3GS is getting really slow with iOS 5 but was working fine with previous iOS.
I just upgraded BBM to the latest version but now, I can't view my chat history with my contacts. However, when I plug my BB in to my computer, I can find the .csv files that have the history for each of my contacts. How can I make it so that I can review the history of each contact in BBM?
After I upgraded to 2.1, my wisepilot is expired (it might be a coincidence). However, as someone stated before, default apps are there to stay. So I have an app that's hogging up my phone memory which I don't use? I cannot use it unless I have a valid voucher, or even if I don't use it, there's no way for me to remove it...This is just one out of so many "default apps" that it comes with.
I just got my new Ray yesterday. Automatically with the pc companion it upgraded to ICS. I tried today to connect it to my wifi. I go to Settings > wireless and networks > Wifi. I turn it on, in the next screen I click on Scan - and nothing. It wont scan and so wont connect to any wifi network.
I upgraded to 2.1 on Saturday, everything went ok but I've not received any texts since Monday. I don't think this is related to the upgrade as I was receiving texts for 2 days after upgrading. I normally use Handcent as my sms manager, but I've uninstalled it and gone back to using the pre-installed Messaging software, but that has not resolved the problem. I've also deleted messages so its not a case of Inbox being too full.
Upgraded software to 5.1.1 and since then the ring volume turns itself fully down and won't let me adjust. All other volumes are working fine. Will work for a little while after turning off and on again.
I just upgraded my android to v2.1. Now my phone is working really slow. Touch is very slow, camera is slow, everything is slow. Even I uninstalled all extra apps. I made a mistake that I upgraded my handset.
Just upgraded the software n my phone to the new 3.10 XXXXXXX version & the restore & backup app is no longer there & neither is anything else recognized on my SD card! I need a little advice on getting it all back!
I got the official 2.3.4 upgrade from the PC companion and am very happy with it. Part of the changes seems to be that I get new message notifications in the middle of my lock screen (meaning I press the power button and my screen goes from blank to the lock screen, and in the middle of that is a notification that says I have "New messages:1" with a envelope icon beside it. I've checked sms, email, whatsapp, skype, handcent, etc etc and I cant find any messages that are new. The notification bar is empty. I've also tried sending myself a message to see if it will clear, but it wont. I'd previously cancelled voice mail on the carrier side too.
planning to buy this phone. I understand that it has Android OS, v1.6 (Donut),upgradable to v2.1... if you have 2.1 you can only install games/applications to the phone memory. if you have upgraded to os 2.3 will you be able to install the games to the mem card?
I need to back everything up to my PC as my phone was damaged and (thanks to insurance) is being collected and replaced today. I don't want to loose all my contacts. Nore do I have time to sit and write down all my numbers by hand. Also don't want to loose the texts ect.
which is the best free app for backup without rooting. i found few apps but none of them back up all data including call log, messages, contacts, installed apps etc.. Is there any app in market for a total back up solution without rooting?
Excuse the poor English (google translator). My SI is the NEO 1247-1256 in Brazil. ICS upgraded to 4.0.4. I would go back to 2.3.4 I had before. I just find on the Internet, with MT15i tutorials, and not with the MT15a.
I updated my phone a few days ago. Backed up first, of course. But the backup and restore app isn't supported by the new system. Is there a way to get back what I'd restored?
i like the new look of ICS for my xperia pro, but inspite of having great interface the system was very slow and buggy.how to officially revert to gingerbread from ics because gingerbread on my xperia pro was perfect and smooth.
All of a sudden all my widgets are gone. I got back most of them, but not able to get the google search widget. Anyone knows how to get this back? And can someone tell me the various widgets that are pre-installed by Sony Ericsson.
I am trying to update my x10 mini with PC companion. At step 2, it ask to deconnect the phone and switch it off.... When I hold the back key and plug the cable on the phone, the green light turns on for 10-20s and then nothing. I kept the key for approx 1 min but nothing is happening. When I release it, the phone go on charging.
I have a question. Let's say I want to do a factory reset or system repair and I want to back up my apps and my data via the Back Up and Restore, will my apps AND the data on it be restored? Because the previous times I did a factory reset on my Z and backed up data, it didn't have a lot of effect, because I still had to re-download all the apps and lost all the data (except if gaming data was stored on Google Play)
I carried out my first update since i've had the phone (bad as i've had it a year!) and carried out every instruction given. I used the backup and restore app on the phone but when i've 'restored' its given me all my pictures and videos but only my contacts and messages up to November last year. I've also lost my apps. Before doing this i imported all my messages to my SD card to be on the safe side?
I can't navigate out of any application like web browsing and get back to my home page on my Xperia x10. The only way I can is to turn the phone off. Once I turn the phone back on the navigation buttons do work until I go into an application and try to get out of it.
After updating to Android 2.3, I can't find the backup & restore app. Is the app called something else now in 2.3? I want to restore my backups made in 2.1.
