View 15 RepliesMy Droid X is a replacement due to issues with my first on. This replacement came with 2.3.3 already installed. I POWER OFF my phone each night so that I dont get email notifications, phone calls or any other annoying thing to wake me up. HOWEVER, sometime during the night, the Droid X will decide to power on and I start getting email notifications that wakes up everyone in the house. I posted this same issue on the Droid X Forum and have gotten no answers that work. Taking the battery out doesnt correct the issue. My original phone didnt do this but it didnt have 2.3.3 -
View 1 Replies View RelatedI have had my phone for a few months now and continuously have issues with it powering itself down. It happens when i place a call, when I open an app, while I am in the middle of a phone call, placing a text message, taking a picture, etc. There are also times when the phone will not let me power it back on unless I remove the battery.
View 2 Replies View Relatedmy Droid 4 turns back on after powering it off. Am I doing something wrong or is there something wrong with the devise itself?
View 6 Replies View RelatedMy phone will intermittently power back up after I power it down. I would say this happens 50% of the time. After I push the power down button, it vibrates as though it is powering down, goes dark, and within 30 seconds I hear the Droid startup sound without me touching it
View 15 Replies View RelatedI haven't used my original Droid in about 2 months. The last time I used it, no problems. Booted up, used it, shut it down. I go to turn it on, and nothing... to be expected, dead battery. So I think I charged the battery. The charging light turns on. The backlight turns on, and that's it. It just stays like that. It either automatically does that when I plug it into a charger (car, home, or usb on computer), or if its unplugged, when I push the power button. Other than a black screen with the backlight turning on, I get nothing. This is not a stock rom on this phone. It's been a WiFi/Bluetooth toy for about a year now.I've tried powering it on while holding the "X" key, and it doesn't get me into the boot loader, just the black screen.
View 4 Replies View RelatedI have been having an occasional problem with my Motorola Atrix 4G when making cell phone calls. The phone not only disconnects from the person I am talking to, but powers down as well. If it just disconnected I could immediately call the person back, but instead, I have to go through the power on sequence and then call the person back which takes considerably longer.

I even charged the battery but still the phone didnot powers up. I showed it to the Nokia Care people, they told that problem could be either of sw upgrade or with some part. They checked(or played) with the phone for 40 mins and then told me that they cant rectify its problem. Now I dont know what to do. Phone contains full 6GB data and useful contacts and app data.
View 1 Replies View RelatedSince about a week or so i noticed that every morning my Samsung L700 is turned off and i have no idea how and why that happens. Apart from that it is working normally, i.e. no weird bugs or anything. Is there a setting somewhere that i fail to find which shuts it down at a specific time? I know some phones have such function..... but can't find it in the menu.

I dropped my iPhone, cracked the screen and LCD, replaced both, as well as the inner plastic bezel holding them together. Now, the LCD doesnt turn on and the touch screen will not respond. The backlight wont even turn on .It is still on, responds when I plug it into USB, it still vibrates and has its files and will be picked up by iTunes, but the screen is black with no display, no backlight and as far as I can tell the touchscreen is not working. And the kicker is that it was working for a few seconds, when I first put everything together, I just took it apart to get the home button to be seated properly, and bam, all of a sudden everything stops working.Frustrating indeed ! Would anyone be able to help me out please ? I am sick that it seems I will have to buy another part, but, if it will fix it then it's worth it !

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've got a BB 9860 Torch. It's great, but when I lock the screen and put it my packet it often turns off, because the end call/power button is not locked. How can I overcome this? I have already googled around, read forums, read through the available manuals, but not a mention was found about this problem. Maybe beacause the phone is a relatively new model.A BB holster is not an option for me.The software is BB OS v7.0.0.296 1465, Platform 5.0.0.496. I'm just upgrading it to 2406, but don't expect it to solve this. Yet, BB OS 7.1 is blocked by the provider (T-Mobile Hungary).I have also tried some "slide lock" apps, but they don't lock the power key either.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Lumia 1020 since the 12th but I didn't get to open it and activate until the 18th since I was out of town. So far the only major problem that I have had is the phone randomly powering down. When it does this, 30% of the time it attempts to restart and it fails. (AT&T logo and then nothing) The rest of the time the phone does not respond to me pressing the power button alone, and I have to do both volume keys with the power button or plug in the charging cable at the same time to get any kind of activity.
I had this sort of issue with my 920 before, but not quite as frequently as I have had with the 1020. (Considering my time of ownership) Is this an OS-specific issue or does this seem like hardware? I would prefer to be better informed on this and know what the best course of action is before I go nuclear by contacting AT&T. I'm sure I would get a "new" Lumia 1020 but knowing my luck I would get a certified like-new device that has a cosmetic flaw or another issue not present in my current phone.
My saga had low battery last night and died now I have charged it but It cycles on & off alone. If it's on long enough to try to make a call, It will shut down when I try to place a call. I have tried a soft reset but just added a bunch of contacts and trying to avoid a hard reset. I had a different Saga and the same thing happened once but I think the soft reset helped?
View 1 Replies View RelatedMy new n900 (updated with the latest firmware) powers off / shuts down randomly when running on battery power. I have to use the power button to turn it on again and wait for it to boot, showing the hand animation/boot screen. I can't locate the reason for this, is it hardware/software or purely battery related. It doesn't seem to happen when plugged in into the charger.

So I tried to restore the the custom firmware and itunes keeps giving me the 1600 error .. I have heard iReb can fix this but I dont even know if its compatible with the 3GS for this issue.. I have tried but its kinda confusing and hasnt exactly worked..
View 12 Replies View RelatedDoes Motorola intentionally make their new products inferior at release?I've been using a Droid and a Droid 2 for about 18 months.I shoot a lot of pictures outdoors, some macro, lots of nature and concerts.I also shoot indoors under challenging conditions (concert lighting.) They have both prtovided a passable point-and-shoot camera. The Droid 3 camera is dissapointing in that several important features have vanished:
-There is auto white balance, only a manual and difficult-to-use control.
-The user can no longer set ISO
-The user can no longer set EV
-Focus is iffy under a variety of conditions
-Photos have a bluish cast under most conditions, with and without flash
So instead of getting pretty good shots with a convenient camera, I'm getting washed-out, bluish garbage.(Issues with the video vs. Droid 2 also, in a separate post.)I want to know if Motorola intends to make the experience of this camera catch up with the spec soon, or if i should return my phone while I can still get something else from Verizon.
I have a samsung SPH-A900 fliphone (later known as the MM-a900) on the Sprint network. Randomly the phone will power itself off (with or without the animation) or will completely reboot. Usually when charging it powers off and when not plugged it it reboots (but sometimes it just powers off when it's being used) Problem seems to be worse at home (7/7 bar reception) than on the road (2-4 bar reception)
I've tried 3 different batteries (2 aftermarked extended and 1 OEM) but it still happens. Phone was master-reset and re-OTA-programmed with no change from either.
My iPhone 4 powers down with 35% battery and does not give any low battery warning?

Still getting used to the changes but one thing I've noticed is that when you click on the blue Voice Dial button on the phone page, it syas, "Application is not installed on your phone". if this was by design with the 2.3.3 update? Is so, can you please advise as to where to download the app. I had voice dial on the previous version.

View 3 Replies View RelatedAfter several months of going thru various LG, Nokia and Htc phones, I couldnt pull the trigger on who I was going to give my next 2 years to. And if any of you have been with Verizon for a while you guys know how we cherished that NE2 (new every 2 yrs and 100 dollars towards it)....lol. With Verizon pushing the Blackberry and tons of dumbphones (2009) I even considered changing carriers. So after months of media hype I decided to wait before the change. In Dec of 2009 I got a OG Droid. Awesome phone which my daughter uses now. In Dec 2010 I got a Droid X and in Dec 2011 I got a Moto Xoom wifi. I chose the Xoom this year instead of a phone because I honestly feel that the DX2 and the Bionic shouldve been 1 phone instead of 2 phones tryning to fill gaps till the Razor came out.....thats another story for another time......To sum it all up: The OG droid will always be one of the phones that changed the market! The first android phone that was released to Verizon's Captive Audience with only blackberrys and dumbphones to choose from.....
