My phone will intermittently power back up after I power it down. I would say this happens 50% of the time. After I push the power down button, it vibrates as though it is powering down, goes dark, and within 30 seconds I hear the Droid startup sound without me touching it

View 15 Replies View RelatedMy Droid X is a replacement due to issues with my first on. This replacement came with 2.3.3 already installed. I POWER OFF my phone each night so that I dont get email notifications, phone calls or any other annoying thing to wake me up. HOWEVER, sometime during the night, the Droid X will decide to power on and I start getting email notifications that wakes up everyone in the house. I posted this same issue on the Droid X Forum and have gotten no answers that work. Taking the battery out doesnt correct the issue. My original phone didnt do this but it didnt have 2.3.3 -

It happens when i place a call, when I open an app, while I am in the middle of a phone call, placing a text message, taking a picture, etc. There are also times when the phone will not let me power it back on unless I remove the battery.
View 2 Replies View RelatedI haven't used my original Droid in about 2 months. The last time I used it, no problems. Booted up, used it, shut it down. I go to turn it on, and nothing... to be expected, dead battery. So I think I charged the battery. The charging light turns on. The backlight turns on, and that's it. It just stays like that. It either automatically does that when I plug it into a charger (car, home, or usb on computer), or if its unplugged, when I push the power button. Other than a black screen with the backlight turning on, I get nothing.This is not a stock rom on this phone. It's been a WiFi/Bluetooth toy for about a year now.I've tried powering it on while holding the "X" key, and it doesn't get me into the boot loader, just the black screen.

Made me miss my alarm clock and i was late to work, when I was the one supposed to be opening. View 5 Replies View RelatedI typically use my phone on speakerphone when having a phone conversation. It's just easier to hold and talk with it in my hand in front of my body or else I set the phone on my desk. My screen time out is set to two minutes, so after I've talked for a couple of minutes my screen goes black. Then, when I'm ready to say good-bye, I can't figure out how to get back to the phone active screen! If I were holding it to my head it would automatically go to the phone screen, but when on speaker it doesn't. As a result I usually wait for the other party to hang up the phone. Tapping the power button doesn't do it.
How to I return to the phone screen after my screen has timed out and I'm on speakerphone?

Hi Since upgrading to the V21 firmware on my N97, if the phone powers off for any reason, my RSS feeds default to not automatically updating. I have to go to each feed and reset the update schedule each time I run out of battery or change to my backup battery. Im using the built in RSS reader that you configure through the "Web" browser application. I am using this to display 3 feeds as widgets on the home screen. has anyone else experienced this or have any suggestions.

When I read another post on the fourm they indicated to take the battery out for 8 hours and replace it I did and boom he ed light appeared and I tried to quickly connect to desktop manager and download 4.6 and midway through the bold went dead again no red light nothing. After multiple attempts it came on again but for only 5 min and went out. I have critical data I need to recover. Any suggestions ?
View 4 Replies View RelatedI've had my Lumia 1020 since the 12th but I didn't get to open it and activate until the 18th since I was out of town. So far the only major problem that I have had is the phone randomly powering down. When it does this, 30% of the time it attempts to restart and it fails. (AT&T logo and then nothing) The rest of the time the phone does not respond to me pressing the power button alone, and I have to do both volume keys with the power button or plug in the charging cable at the same time to get any kind of activity.
I had this sort of issue with my 920 before, but not quite as frequently as I have had with the 1020. (Considering my time of ownership) Is this an OS-specific issue or does this seem like hardware? I would prefer to be better informed on this and know what the best course of action is before I go nuclear by contacting AT&T. I'm sure I would get a "new" Lumia 1020 but knowing my luck I would get a certified like-new device that has a cosmetic flaw or another issue not present in my current phone.
I have been having an occasional problem with my Motorola Atrix 4G when making cell phone calls. The phone not only disconnects from the person I am talking to, but powers down as well. If it just disconnected I could immediately call the person back, but instead, I have to go through the power on sequence and then call the person back which takes considerably longer.

My phone still powers on, I still have my custom lock screen and all but I can only make emergency calls and access SBSettings which doesn't actually work anymore. So I tried to restore the the custom firmware and itunes keeps giving me the 1600 error .. I have heard iReb can fix this but I dont even know if its compatible with the 3GS for this issue.. I have tried but its kinda confusing and hasnt exactly worked..

View 5 Replies View RelatedI purchased my Motorola Droid in November 2009 at a Verizon store. They created a Gmail account for me but I don't know the password. I've never accessed this Gmail account from any other device aside from this Droid. Now my phone died and I can't get my data, specifically my contacts off this phone.
I was able to take out the SD card and back that up. I've tried going thru the normal Gmail steps to recover the password but that has not been successful. The next option is to get this phone repaired. The screen has died on this phone and want to know if it can be repaired. I would like advice on either or both of these options.

The back cover of the Droid 4 can fool you -- it looks like a typical slide-down-with-pressure-to-remove cover. But there's a trick. There's a small pinhole on the black panel at the top rear, where the camera lens and flash are located, just to the right of "HD 1080P." That's the lock. If you insert a pin or other small object into that hole, it releases the back cover and it slides right off.

I am trying to figure out if it is me or do other people have their homescreen crash when returnig back to it from about anything? By crashing I mean that you return from the camera, online, text message, or whatever and your homescreen has to rebuild itself. View 14 Replies View Relatedi remembered that being a standout feature of our phone, and while at home on wi fi (i have a 15mbps up and down fiber connection) netflix is just not playing back in the same quality that it used to.before i felt like video playback was almost on par with guys running 720p screens with higher ppi's...(rezound/gnex), at least within this particular app. but now? it looks like any other Internet vid with the quality on high (which imo still isnt all that great and still not as good as going to the desktop site and watching a vid set to 720 or 1080).no other phone was ever touted as having this ability (though i'm sure the rezound and gnex can) and a lot of it had to do with the omap processor being used...is something up with ics thats not letting it happen? or was it the most recent netflix update that supports 4.1?
