On 7 seperate occaisons my phone has dialled South Korea without my knowledge or input. I was asleep on 4 of these occasions and was definately not using my phone on the others. I have never called a south korean number. I have and have since I got the phone barred outgoing international calls in the settings menu but my phone still makes these calls.
View 4 RepliesDoes anybody know if the touch screen on the ES400 can activated/deactivated whilst making calls?The problem is, that as the hangup or mute are availabe functions for use, when you are on a call and have the device pressed against your ear/cheek you can either put the phone on mute, or even cut the caller off completely. It would need to be a function to switch on and off, as you may need to use the screen to turn hands free on etc.

View 4 Replies View RelatedNever had problems with Nokia in the past, and after happily purchasing a Nokia X6-00 16GB in the month of March of this year, my thoughts on Nokia only reinforced WHY i've always gone with Nokia.
Now, i purchased the phone when i was living in England, i moved back to Cyprus in April shortly after the purchase and got the phone unlocked, put in a Cypriot Sim card with CytaMobile. Everything was just great.
This past month as been slightly less of a joy though, out of no fault of my own, the phone seems to stop recieving and making calls, all calls get diverted to my answer phone, and to solve this problem i have had to turn the phone off, then back on again. Problem solved.
That was until this morning. I can still recieve texts but if someone attempts to call me, they are greeted with a 'beep' and then the phone call ends on their end.
For me i am greeted with deadly silence, then a little notification saying 'No Answer'.
I have restarted the phone;
Restored Factory Settings'
Upgraded to the latest firmware it will let me, being v20;
Still no luck, i am hoping it is not an internal problem with the phone, as in Cyprus as far as 'Offical' nokia care points are non-existant. The SIM card is on a contract, so if my phone had been cut off, so would my messaging and my internet which are all still in-use, and work just fine without problems.
On another note, if you are unable to find a cause for that problem, maybe you can give me a quick reasoning on why the phone shuts itself off when i choose the facebook application on occasions. Again only over the past month has this been happening.
My E7 phone is not making any calls. I receive sms and calls but cannot dial, it just disconnects. I tried changing the profile, all settings and still the same issue. I tried my sim card on another phone and it is working there.

It shows up in the top right hand corner of the screen and looks like the service signal bar graph only reversed w/ the larger bars on the left and getting smaller moving right. They also have a white plus sign at the top of each blue bar, background is a black box. Anybody have any idea what this is for and why it only recently came about?

It doesn't even say call ended or call lost. Sometimes I have to click call 3-4 times before it goes through.I just cleared my cache and will see if it continues?

View 9 Replies View RelatedI own a blackberry pearl 8130 and recently saw a new icon appear at the top right hand side of my screen. When placing calls, the icon appears. It looks like a rectangle with a line of plus signs going through it diagonally from top left to lower right. That breaks the rectangle up into 2 triangles. One of them is dark blue and the other is black. Has anyone seen this before?The only thing that I have noticed since the icon began to appear is that my alarm no longer works. The volume works for everything else and I can set my alarm. It just never makes a sound when it's supposed to go off. I've already checked to make sure that I've marked AM or PM and I checked to see if it is on tone, so that's not the problem.

I've had my Z5 for 2 weeks. My Z3 also suffered from the same problem, I was about to send it off for repair but smashed the screen so decided to upgrade early, now the Z5 is doing the same thing. I don't have a micro sd card in it and I have just replaced the sim with a new one but it still happens. But only intermittently when either making or receiving calls. I'm in the UK on the O2 network.

Now when I watch movie's or play games make phone calls or something simple like receiving txt messages or emails (or to put it another way, everything the phone was designed to do) the handset simply freezes and makes a terrible buzzing noise for about 4 seconds then it shuts off completely. The phone will then reboot. Sometimes it will crash again immediately and reboot again. I have seen it crash and reboot up to 5 times.

The one thing I installed today was a program called GPS Track (http://widgety.biz/GPStrack/) for collecting the GPS info and uploading it to TrailGuru.com. The problem started shortly after I used the program the first time, so I suspect it has something to do with it.I deleted the application, but that didn't help. I've tried a battery pull several times, I downgraded the OS from 5.0.0.463 to 5.0.0.296. Nothing seems to help. Right now I'm upgrading the software to 5.0.0.645, but I don't have great hope. Anyone have an idea?

I am having a lot of problems trying to get my blackberry to function properly. Yesterday, I was going for a walk and decided to plug in my headphones into my blackberry and listen to some music. It worked really well until I pulled the headphone jack out and now when I make a phone call, the phone switches from headset to handset over and over again. I have tried resetting it, pulling the battery, etc. but nothing has worked. How can I get this to work properly?

View 6 Replies View RelatedMy sk17i mini pro received an update (Build Number 4.0.2.A.0.62, i believe?) a few days ago and since then when making/receiving calls the loudspeaker is always on by default, rather than the ear speaker. This didn't happen before. This isn't a major problem but now I have to switch to the ear speaker during every phone call. (By the way, the loudspeaker volume is superb!)Is there a way to set the ear speaker to default for phone calls?

I am starting to get really annoyed with my phone, when I make voice calls I'm not able to lock the screen so that the touch screen is disabled?? and in doing so I either end up putting the call on mute, hold or even hang up!I have tried all I can think of, I have just updated my phone to the latest software 5 days ago and seemed ok for 2/3 days but now the darn bug is back. Is this a downside to the phone or am I doing something wrong?
View 2 Replies View RelatedThe main reason i bought the phone.Was because of a virtually non existent signal on the Orange network.(dropping calls etc).Anyway. To cut a long story short.It will find UMA.But takes an age to lock on.And sometimes when making /receiving calls i get cut off and my router crashes (loses internet connection)!If i go into my wifi settings in my phone (wifi diagnostics). Under UMA it says 'UMA connection failed'.But no 'error' code!!
I have checked my router setings and everything seems ok as it does on my phone.
But this morning i contacted AOL router support and they told me that it will not be the router but an issue with the phone!
While i am typing this.It has just found UMA (after approx 1 hour of trying) but if i make a call or receive one , i will more than likely be cut off.I forgot to mention that i have a 'speedtouch'(thompson) router. And am thinking of asking AOL for a 'Netgear'!Would this help?Although my laptop and xbox 360 run just fine via the speedtouch with no problems whatsoever
I have a xperia x10 mini which was all working fine until i tried to download an application/game. It didnt download so i cancelled the download then noticed that the phone wouldnt make or receive calls or texts. If i try to make a call, it comes up "call ended" almost immediately.

I cannot dial in my new device because I have not been able to set up the dialing mode to automatically recognize this dialing format. Where can I do it? When I call local numbers with in UK the reciever of call is not able to see my number "BLOCKED" appears to the caller. however when I call to someone in India then the reciever is able to see my number on the phone.
