Xperia Z3 :: Compact Chat Service Disappeared In Messaging App
May 12, 2015Since the latest lolly update, the "chat service" has disappeared as an option from the stock messaging app. The one where your texts were coloured yellow if they were being sent over the internet rather than an SMS. This is very frustrating, as I was just extolling the virtues of this feature to my wife who has the Z3C, I have the Z3. She raves about What'sApp you see. Now "Chat" is gone! It's not even in the settings menu as "enable chat service" anymore... Have deleted data from app etc to no avail. It has gone from both our 'phones BTW.

May 26, 2015I am using the stock messaging app. When I open the text thread for one of my contacts, at the bottom where you would start another text, it says "enter chat msg" and there is a green send button. It just so happens this person is also a gs6 owner. For all my other text threads, it says at the bottom "enter message" with an orange send button.

Jun 9, 2010My eyesight is not so good. The standard size of the text on an E71 is too small for me. I have to select "Zoom, 125%" for each mail I read. This is extremely irritating and there is no global switch. This IMHO is a serious design flaw. The software version is Build 9.7.0.2

Jan 30, 2015Not long ago I took screenshots of in my phone (Xperia Z3) and camera shots which I then sent in a group chat on Facebook to some friends. Not long after I deleted them and it was fine. Recently I have noticed those photos are coming back whenever someone in the group chat sends a photo. Based on this I believe it has something to do with the Accounts section with syncs the contacts and such to your phone.
It is always the same group of images that reappear despite the fact I constantly delete them. I have tried restoring the phone to factory settings, making backups with images deleted and restoring it, removing my accounts and retrying them along with several other solutions. However, I still cannot seem to delete the photos.

May 9, 2012I have an iPhone 4s (Verizon). I had recently purchased what was described as an OEM screen plus LCD after I had cracked my factory screen. After replacing the screen and LCD such features as the side volume controls, vibrate switch, and proximity switch (dimming after accepting a call) have stopped working. I double checked to see that all of the connectors were pushed on correctly and they were. Is it possible this may not be an OEM screen and causing the problem or is there a piece of the hardware that I may have damaged that controls all of these functions (i.e. motherboard)?

Jan 30, 2010I have an unusual issue I would like some assistance on since I just got a blackberry, I have the Curve 2 8530. I use Total Call Blocking with my carrier so that when I call anyone my number is automatically blocked / restricted. Therefore, in my contact list, I have my friends or family contacts listed with the *82 in front of the number to unblock for those people. This works fine for phone calls.
However, on Text Messaging / Picture Messaging, the *82 will cause these messages to fail. I am used to LG phones, you have the ability to edit the number while creating a message, before your send one of these messages. The problem I am having is when I send a Text Message / Picture Message it appears from the blackberry as only the 10 digit number (even though the contact has *82 in front of it)...and the message shows it is sent (with the check mark) but it NEVER received.

"Messaging not default sms app. Tap to make Messaging your default SMS.."
(that's what it says; it actually stops mid sentence). I click on it and there's a dialog box:
"Change SMS app?
Use messaging instead of Hangouts as your SMS app?
No Yes"
Now obviously I don't want to do this (why would anyone), but I click on No and the box goes away but it'll come back again later. I can't uninstall messaging, and when I load it to see if it has options to never do anything again ever the first thing it does is pop up the "Change sms app" box again, and when I press No it quits.

Dec 25, 2010I dropped my phone at work today and now when I try to switch it on it won't go any further than the Sony Ericsson logo on the welcome screen, after that point it just freezes, and if I leave it on that screen the battery eventually dies. It's been dropped several times before but after every time it still worked perfectly - I've not had any problems with it until now. I can still charge it and connect it to the computer but without being able to select the USB connect I obviously can't open the PC companion.Basically what I'm asking is - is there any way for this to be fixed? Feb 9, 2012Many peoples phones wont switch on. My x10 mini pro refuses to shut down!!
I power down and the phone switches off, but then switches itself back ON after a few seconds. The only way to fix this is by taking the battery out for a second and then re-inserting it. Once Ive done this, it will not switch on until I press the power button!
