My eyesight is not so good. The standard size of the text on an E71 is too small for me. I have to select "Zoom, 125%" for each mail I read. This is extremely irritating and there is no global switch. This IMHO is a serious design flaw. The software version is Build 9.7.0.2
View 6 RepliesI bought my SE Elm today. About the camera, when I am in the camera mode I cant zoom it and there is a message flashing, "Zoom not possible at this resolution. Select a smaller picture size. I tried all the picture size but nothing happened. I still cant zoom my camera. About the messaging settings, I cant select the "My Own Word" setting. It says that Currently unavailable. 1 more thing I noticed about my handset. The asterisk sign in the keypad is not well lit. Its like have some low light, while others(1,2,3,4 and so on) have the same lighting.

Just bought new Nokia 2730 and everything else is OK but I am not able to add my hotmail account to email settings. It always says that login fails. Live ID and password is OK and Live Messenger under chat is working with my account. I have the latest firmware v 09.41 02-12-09 rm-578.

View 4 Replies View RelatedI have a Nokia E71 just update to the firmware 410.21.010. I did not recovered backup after the upgrade and I formatted the memory card, so it's completely clean.
Now, Nokia Email has appear as new included application so I would like to use it, but when I configure my email account (form a supported services: ovi, gmail, etc...), the wizard only configures my mobile for the typical IMAP client. It's strange, because I have a different E71 also update to this same firmare and Nokia Messaging works fine and creates the Nokia Messaging account.How could use Nokia Messaging with my E71?. Is there some way to create a Nokia Messaging account form the web instead from the phone?.
My S2 has behaving a bit strangely now for a while, but after updating it to ICS it seems to have gotten worse!
The settings I use daily are (amongst other ones):-
- WIFI off
- bluetooth on
- ringer vibrate
- brightness 25%
Before ICS, when I switched the phone off and then on again, it would change the settings to the following:-
- WIFI on
- bluetooth off
- brightness 50%
After ICS update it now also resets the ringer to loud, not vibrate.
It seems to make the changes shortly after it boots. For example, I switch it on, put my pin in and the bluetooth is on, wifi off, ringer vibrate (as it was when it went off). However, shortly after my home screens have loaded with their icons, the BT, WIFI, brightness and ringer all change, almost as if it's loading some default settings.
It seems to have occurred recently and am wondering if it is related to the recent Nokia camera/beta camera updates. I'm running 8.1 DP but I don't believe I was having this issue before and I don't believe I have had any recent big falls or jolts to the phone that might cause mechanical problems and I believe the zoom works fine in still pictures.

Digital zoom is so stupid - I can duplicate the effect of digital zoom by cropping the photo with photoshop afterward. Not only is digital zoom in effect the same a cropping a photo, but because the photo was cropped from the get-go, you have LOST information that you might have wanted. What if you "zoomed in" and took the picture, but mistakenly chopped off the top of your subject's head? That portion of the head was actually being perceived by the camera's sensor, so you could have had a complete photo, but it is now lost forever thanks to digital zoom.

Once I transfer language from eng to other language with the keyboard shortcut (alt+enter ) the auto text stops working. Furthermore, the option box just disappears from the menu (options - text and languages ) !. Reset by battery removal fixes the problem.But, onces you repeat the above action the auto text complete disappears again...Some bug is there.... tried it with all 5 devices of my office.I contacted my provider- they were not aware of the problem and I demonstrated it to them. They dont know how to solve it...

I have the latest build (recieved in the soak test a little over a week ago), and have international roaming enabled with Verizon (verified this seveal times now). I've been all over France over the last several days, and have not been able to connect anywhere.I've tried, power cycling, hard reset, toggling nework mode (Global, CDMA, GSM), forcing GSM, and just about every setting configuration in the test menu (*#*#4636#*#*). The only thing I can see that may indicate a poblem (beside the fact that I can see, but can't connect to any GSM networks ) is that I can't select the EURO GSM radio band in the test menu.

The replacement immediately had low in call volume and only a power off would fix it. They then sent another USED D2 Global. I hate Verizon. The replacement D2 Global arrived and guess what....low in call volume. Went back to the store and they're sending yet another. Really? How much of their shipping costs and my time are they going to waste? I'll keep taking it back and maybe after 10 replacements they'll realize how much shipping costs they've wasted.
