Xperia Z2 :: No New Notification Sounds When Chat Window Is Open
Aug 4, 2014When messaging app is closed I receive an initial sound notification for received text message. When chat window is open and texts are received there is no sound with each new text (and if window stays open while you are doing something else you have no sound notification of text received within that thread).

Feb 28, 2010I've noted that after adding ringtones (all saved on my 8gb microSD card) it is super slow scrolling through them. It is most noticeable when trying to set a custom ring tone for contacts. Does anyone know why this is? Or has anyone else had this problem? It makes it take forever when trying to set those ringtones so that I know when certain people are calling. I have a Tour from Verizon.

Jun 23, 2011The problems I've been having are intermittent disconnection of the mouse using a Logitech v470. When I used the Apple Magic Mouse I never had an issue but you weren't able to scroll in the browser using the touch feature. Some scrolling standardization among all the apps and OS would be nice. Some parts you have to click and drag to scroll (scrolling bookmarks in the browser, App World and in the OS launcher) while other parts like documents or the browser you can use the scroll wheel perfectly. Scrolling on pages that open up windows or use pains is also not possible using the mouse. For example scrolling in gmail for tablets and scrolling if you open up a picture using facebook.com. Gesturing using the the right mouse button is fantastic but I'd like to be able to hold either the right or left buttons and bring up the contextual menus. Currently this is only accomplished by having to touch the device which is ok as long as the device is within reach but hook it up to your TV and you're sol. Copying and pasting by selecting text with the keyboard (crtl+a) works sometimes and other times you're just better off using your finger to bring up the select widgets and copy/paste that way. I really like how you're able to tab text boxes using the tab key.
Overall I'm very happy but these few annoyances really hold the device back from being used on the couch with a TV or being used anywhere out of arms reach for that matter. Being able to scroll with inertia while holding the right mouse button would be really nice. Anything you can do with your finger should be able to be accomplished mimicking those motions while holding or clicking the right mouse. I hope in the next update or sometime soon these issues are addressed.

May 6, 2012Why is this happenning? I am facing lot of problems in my SE Neo V mobile. I updated my phone officially last week. The problems are serious and so irritating. The older version of android 2.3.4(Gigerbread) was gud when compared to this newer version of ICS. I am Facing these problems.
1. My phone dialer is too slow and takes more than 5 econds to open a dialer.
2. Unable to forward messages since it gets stuck in the contacts adding option itself when I use the forward option. And it must be Switched off and On to get back to home screen. Or else i cant message any 1 else.
3. Anything being copied to any folder using Computer show a message saying that The device is currently being stopped and cannot copy files.This is the most irritating part that i encounter always.
4. Any game like HD is not woking. It either crashes down or the application doesn't get opened at all.
can anyone please tell me How to fix these errors?? I am really Facing so many problems like these with the newer Version of Android ICS 4.0.3.And i read that using sony PC companion and also update service setup v could fix these bugs.. But doing this will expire the warranty of my phone??

Jun 2, 2015When I am viewing an SMS conversation, with lets say someone named bob, and bob sends me another message, it does not beep if I am still in the bob sms window. I get no notification. To get a notification I have to back out or lock the screen each time.
Sometimes I sit my phone down waiting for a reply and when it beeps I know I have a reply. however, with the s6 I am forced to back out of mine and bob's chat window each and every time just so I can receive the notification beep again to know when he has replied. Is there a way to fix this? Or am I forced to use a 3rd party app (not preferred)

Jun 20, 2011I have a brand new E7 configured with my corporate Exchange 2003 server account and my private gmail. E7 runs the most current SW P1.1 014.002.263.03.Mail/calendar/contacts sync works but opening a received mail with any attachment listed (even how tiny, like 1kb jpeg) on the mail application takes ages. If I click on a message on the mail list it can take upto 30 seconds before the screen shows the message. During the time the phone freezes, even the hardware buttons are not responding. The symptom is the same on Exchange and Gmail accounts. Messages not having any attachments open in about 4 secs. I have tried to delete the accounts etc. but no joy.The mails are received as push, I have tried also scheduled receiving, offline mode etc. but the speed is the same. Is anyone else seeing this and is there anything to be done? The speed of the mail application is so poor that it prevents me to use the E7 as the business phone.

I'll receive a notification for a message, tap the notification, then hold my finger over the scanner to unlock and go directly to the app that notified me. The phone unlocks fine, and I'm taken directly to the app (usually Facebook or SMS)
Normally, the first thing I'll want to do is reply to the message for which I was notified, so I'll tap in the text field but receive no response. It sometimes takes several seconds for the phone to respond and display the Google keyboard. This doesn't occur with the Samsung keyboard.

If you start scrolling the screen content, the contrast of the screen changes as long as the avatar is not completely on screen. Like as long as the first pixel row of the content is completely white, the contrast is 0 and if the first pixel row is broken into dark and bright pixels, the contrast changes to -10.This is very annoying as theses are very heavy contrast changes, like complete loss of cloud texture (as taken with a very low spec phone).My active is on ICS, 4.1.B.0.431 but this issue has happened since GB 2.3.4.
