having a werid on , everytime i try to use data or even make a call its saying i have to turn off airplane mode. airplane mode is not on , i even tried switching it on and swtiching it off again . i can use wifi and everything else seems to be working . just the mobile data and mobile networks.

Some get 8350i with a full BB data plan and some get Moto i456 with voice, PTT, MMS, and limited data (feels like GPRS). I am in the latter category. While I have absolutely no justifiable business need for a data plan I despise the crappy i465 with a passion that is difficult to describe.
I thought I would solve my problem by buying a 2nd-hand 8350i on my own dime and just popping the employer-provided SIM card in it. My hope was that I would retain what I need (voice, SMS, PTT) and be on my merry way. However, it appears that I do have voice and PTT but have lost ALL messaging capability, probably because the messaging the BB goes through their own servers and I do not have BB service.Is there any way around this dilemma? I do need both PTT and SMS, and the only two QWERTY devices with PTT capability are the 8350i and the i465.
I bought a Lumia 1520.3 from B&H and I cut my sim card down from a micro sim to a nano sim. I know it still works because I put it back in my 920. It says on my 1520.3 says no service in the live tile.

I then went to settings>>>host routing table in order to activate the blackberry service and I registered but still the phone wouldn't connect. My phone constanly loses signal yet when i search or start using the phone even when I haven't moved from where I've been standing or sat for the last hour or so the phone suddenly jumps to 2 or 3 bars on the signal icon! How can that be if I'm stationary it goes from nothing to 2 or 3 bars?? Also my family who are on the same network but have iphones & blackberry don't have this problem, always have strong signals as we live in a good signal strength area but I'm the only one who can't get a signal. If I go to work other people can use their phones-also on o2 but I get nothing! I get texts hours & days after they're sent to me, calls get sent to voicemail as I have no service, o2 sent me a new phone so it's not the phone, it's a new sim, I've tried going on gsm only, rebooting, turning off the radio etc etc but I'm no better off, I'm at my witts end & ready to switch to another brand phone.
View 9 Replies View RelatedWe have recently had to downgrade our cell phone service for financial reasons, and sprint does not allow you to downgrade from a everything data plan to a talk and text plan only if you have a smartphone.As a result I had no choice but to turn off the phone service on my torch and use a much older non smart phone. I only recently purchased the torch 9850 and still use it daily in wifi areas. I would like to know how it may be possible to still check my email on it. I know I have other devices ( kindle) that are able to access my email accounts without having to use phone service. I would also like to know if any of the instant messaging capabilities would still work, although that I understand not working more so than the email.
View 1 Replies View RelatedIf I lose service for any length of time the phone appears to just give searching for it. I have to go into manage connections and disable/enable Mobile Connections and get back service almost immediately.
As not answering a call could cost me my job it would be pretty handy to resolve this.
I am on 7.0.0 Bundle 2290 and I only noticed this after the last couple of OS updates.
Obviously a reboot/battery pull resolves the issue temporarily but the next time I suffer an extended loss of service then it recurs.

I have a N8 that was recently updated to Symbian Belle. Prior to that I had no problems but these days the phone has to be rebooted in order to make a call. I was wondering if a full factory reset was needed because this has happened numerous times this past week and today. I'm always having to reboot the phone to make a phone call or do anything else with the service. I use T Mobile so they don't have any outages I really believe this phone has problems.
