Yesterday it worked properly, homescreen was rotating even in lock screen, today it not. All other apps, call log, messages, even settings rotates normally.
I use it for a dock and in the car.. Tried diagnostic but there is missing test of this sensor..restarted even with button next to sim slot,

I've switched the auto rotate in settings on and off several times, pulled the battery, even installed an auto rotate switch app...nothing. It's really tough to read my news feeds when I can't rotate and zoom.

View 1 Replies View RelatedFirst, when I bought my Xperia Play(4 months ago)my home network WiFi worked very well on it but today when I search for wifi network I just can not find it I checked my laptop: the WiFi was working very well and I checked my family phones (Android and Iphone) and also they are connecting and working.i tried to do the next : 1- turn off and on my modem (I think it is called like that, I am not that good in networks) but nothing happened
2-turn off and on wifi on my phone
3-turn off and on my Xperia Play
4-Uninstalled go launcher
last things I have did before this happened :
1- Installed a game from the market that uses WiFi called : The Sims Free Play
2- Installed go launcher and go locker with ICS theme
More information : when I go to my WiFi settings I see that IP address is Unavailable.

I have an issue with the slider (or I think this is the origin of my problem), my screen don't want to rotate in portrait mode and I can't have the virtual keyboard, even when the slider is closed. Also even though I don't have auto rotate on, the screen keeps rotating around which is quite annoying! It freezes quite a bit as well. And the battery doesn't seem to charge as well. Just discovered my home screen is blank, so I thought I had accidentally changed/moved it when I turned on "Easy Mode" to check that out. Switched back to "Standard Mode", but found my home screen gone, with a blank page in it's place. I found some directions on how to move pages around, making one a home screen. I selected the page I wanted as home screen and moved it to the page where the white house icon is highlighted. I was done but noticed nothing had changed. Home page still blank, so I did it again. I find that whenever I try creating my home screen page by moving it to the highlighted white house icon, the white house icon shifts to the left, remaining blank.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI've recently got my Z5 (upgrade from Z3) literally on Monday 23rd Nov.
I've loaded most of the stuff I had on my Z3 and not loaded anything else that I didn't have on the Z3 (eg. Apps).
However, the first morning upon trying to sleepily swipe the alarm off, it wouldn't work so when I eventually opened my sleep encrusted eyes to see what was up it had a little pop up message saying "home screen not responding: close | wait" so what I pressed as I was trying to get it to stop blaring out Queen at the ungodly hour.
Didn't think much of it but over the past few days it's been doing it still. This morning it did the same thing but it also does it during the day too when I take it out and unlock to start using it.
I'm not sure if it's a temporary thing and whether it's because it's the first usage and it's unhappy with my choice of alarm music, the music I listen to during the day via Bluetooth headphones or maybe the somewhat RAM hogging weather live app I have running as a live background function.
I tried Google but it came up about home being touch unresponsive which this isn't technically doing. If I press "wait" it's a bit like a pc in that it will sit frozen for a minute then start working.
I was using my phone to record something earlier; the battery died while it was filming! I have got the phone charged up and turned on, but I have no home screen. I can access the camera by holding the button on the side, I can access the drop down menu/settings, but that's it.
I have tried holding the power and volume up buttons for 10 seconds; the phone turned off, the time reset, but then went back to normal (time). Still no home screen.
Recent;y my iPhone 4 home button has intermittently stopped going "home" and just stay on the last page selected. I spoke with an apple customer service person and the said that if the horizontal tray at the bottom of the display could be too full ad that would cause a delay in the home button working.?
