Feb 7, 2012I have been using Atrix for about 6 months now and have suddenly faced an issue. If I press the search button while browsing through applications, I get the following error:"The application Home (process com.motorola.home) has stopped unexpectedly. Please try again."After I am forced to "force close" this, automatically all recently used (probably running) apps get started. To elaborate on the problem. It occurs every time I perform following steps.
1. I'm on the home screen
2. Press the Apps button (to view all installed apps)
3. Press the search button
Effects:
1. Error pop-up : Application Home has stopped unexpectedly (Exact message given above)
2. Click on "Force Close" button on the error popup
3. Screen blanks out for a couple of seconds and the home screen reappears. In case any other applications are running in the background originally, then all those apps start ie they occupy the screen (instead of home screen).
Xperia PLAY :: The Bottom Of The Touch Screen Stopped Working?
Dec 10, 2011My phone has only a few days and overnight, the bottom of the touch screen no longer works at the application buttons. By testing the service menu, it is clear that this part no longer detects the touch. I tried to put the latest firmware with SEUS but nothing changed.

Jan 15, 2016The home bar suddenly stopped working on my Z5 compact. It's not a touchscreen issue, because the lower part of the screen works perfectly (for example to open the camera app from the lock screen). I rebooted it several times but it's still not working.
There were no Android updates before that, but I did have an issue that the screen would go permanently inactive during calls (a known issue for this model). I did not tamper with the software either.
I never noticed how much the phone is dependent on the "back" button until now

May 10, 2012As off yesterday my iPhone 4 home button stopped working. I could not reset (obviously) because to reset you need to hold home and power which doesn't work if home is broken. I tried turning the phone on and off several times and that had no effect. Out of nowhere it just started working again after a few hours. I upgradedd to 5.1.1 last night. It worked fine for about 24 hours. A few minutes ago it just stopped working again. I plugged it into itunes to backup and restore but it started working again. It worked for 5 minutes or so, then it worked only intermittantly for another 5 minutes and now it's broken again.

May 28, 2012My iPhone 4 is having issues w/the home button. It doesn't work at all and I have to shut the phone own completely each time I want to toggle back and Roth ou of different apps, to us the phone, take pics., etc. Is there a fix for this issue or will I need a new phone?

Jun 29, 2012That's basically it. I've tried charging it, plugging it into the computer, etc. and nothing has worked. I've heard about putting it into DFU and recovery modes but I can't do either since the home button stopped working. Is my phone dead or is there anything else I can try?

Sep 9, 2014Was using my phone today and then after about 15 mins I went to use it again and the home button would not work. Had to turn off then turned back on and nothing was different. Did this a few times as I spend a lot of time on my phone and once I was in an app then I could not get back out so I had to keep turning on and off. After a few hours of this the phone crashed and made me reset on iTunes. Did this and it still doesn't work. Phone is a a couple months old as I used my insurance after the last one went swimming.

IPhone :: Home Button Stopped Working And Voice Control Comes On Automatically?
Mar 19, 2012so over the weekend, while I was away from home, the home button on my iPhone 4 stopped working. It happened suddenly, and the only preceding events I can think of were that (1) we had heavy rain but I kept the phone in my pocket and neither my pocket nor the phone were wet when I took it out after the rain had passed (2) I downloaded the F1 timing app which initially had some crashing issues. I'm not sure if either of these contributed but it's possible.While the home button wouldn't work at all when pressed, I found that the voice control was starting automatically (and calling my contacts without me knowing). This would suggest a long press of the home button I think however I couldn't replicate it with the button. To avoid calling more contacts from my pocket I turned the phone off but it turned itself straight back on and always went straight to voice control after starting up. I finally got around this by leaving the phone on flight mode while not in use. I also found the accessibility setting to have an on-screen home button which made the phone slightly usable but not ideal.
When I charged the phone that evening it came up with the recovery screen requesting that I plug into iTunes. As I was away and without my laptop I was not able to do this but got through the weekend by cancelling lots of voice control pop ups and a lot of flight mode use. Now I'm home I have connected to iTunes and a restore was required. I followed this right through, the restore completes and when it reconnects to iTunes it says it needs to restore again. At this stage I can unplug it, turn it off and on again and use it.If it's turned on while unplugged it will start ok and then can be connected to iTunes and synced but the voice control will still start automatically after turning on and the home button does not work at all.If it's turned on while plugged in it will be in recovery mode and request a restore again.

Jul 19, 2012Today the Home, Back and Search buttons stopped working in my Lumia 900. They don't work at all now. Zune says the software is up to date. I even tried a Hard Reset on it, but it didn't help.I tried once to boot without SIM card, and it seemed to help -- but only for a while after which the issue reappeared. Now I've been rebooting the phone a million times with and without SIM card and not seen the buttons working at all. Is it a HW failure?

I have tried a reset as well as removing the battery but get this message every time. The message just loops each time it is cancelled. This stops the phone from connecting via usb to a pc. It looks like the phone is corrupted and needs to be returned for repair.
Before I do so is there anything obvious I should try? The phone is running android 2.1

Aug 15, 2011First, when I bought my Xperia Play(4 months ago)my home network WiFi worked very well on it but today when I search for wifi network I just can not find it I checked my laptop: the WiFi was working very well and I checked my family phones (Android and Iphone) and also they are connecting and working.i tried to do the next : 1- turn off and on my modem (I think it is called like that, I am not that good in networks) but nothing happened
2-turn off and on wifi on my phone
3-turn off and on my Xperia Play
4-Uninstalled go launcher
last things I have did before this happened :
1- Installed a game from the market that uses WiFi called : The Sims Free Play
2- Installed go launcher and go locker with ICS theme
More information : when I go to my WiFi settings I see that IP address is Unavailable.
