My son got this a few days ago and he wants to put his favorite movie on his phone, so he can watch it on long trips. Is this possible and if so what format do i need to convert the movie into?

View 7 Replies View RelatedI have been using my ray for 6 months. Today I observed that all the files were invisible on my computer, eventhough SD card was full. My phone was connected by usb I run Sony PC Companion, windows explorer started and it was writen that SD Card 708MB Free and 3.65GB full, but I double clicked SD card and there was only two files; "customized-capability" and "default-capability". I have checked win explorer Folder Options, hide, unhide selection, do not affect. I am sure that the files are in my phone, I have check from my phone.Now, I could not transfer my pictures, files, movies from my computer.

I had to wipe the phone and since then I cannot open those files - even with setting from reloaded backup file (the backup did not offer the saving of Media Card content). how can I get those file back? The encryption of the Media Card is On (default company setting) but the "Include Media Files" is Off and the encryption Mode is "Device Key".

I just uploaded a movie (*.m4v) to my phone in a directory I made called movies on my SD and the video player can't find it. It only says 'No Videos' How come? I even tried to move the movie to the / but that didn't help.When I use a file explorer there is no problem finding the movies and playing them, but the phones movie player can't find them. how I can get the movie player to list my movies so I can play them without using a file explorer to find the movies first?
View 5 Replies View RelatedI have a BB Curve 8530 Smartphone (v5.0.0.654) and I cannot download or play anything with a mp3 extension other than those items that were installed on the phone when I first got it or those that I downloaded before my first phone update. While trying to play an audio or video item with mp3 extension, I always get the message "an error occurred while attempting to play...". This usually happens after about a minute or two. My downloads simply fail. I'm confused because everything worked fine until that first update. I can still download and play anything with a .m3u extension.

I hear the audio but I see a frozen screen. Now I drag the movies to my desktop and they play perfectly with quicktime. I've hooked everything up properly. Movies play just fine from my iPad2 but when I try and play a movie that I loaded onto my iPhone the tv just says "no signal". Movie plays fine on the phone itself. I even plugged phone into power source thinking maybe the phone didn't have enough power to play a movie on tv. Still "no signal". I'm on vacation and hoped to watch a couple of movies.

Just curious, but have any of you run into this same problem or found a solution? I frequently have used (in the past) my iPhones to store videos or movies to take on the road with the family instead of bringing DVD's for the trip.  On every version of iPhone I have owned this was feasible. Not with the iPhone5 though. All i get is the audio now.
