Aug 2, 2010
iv just gotten my new se x10. Now I cannot get it to connect with pc suite. Iv clicked the how to connect button at the top followed the instructions but as soon as I connect the phone it says finishing driver installation then afew seconds later says phone was unable to connect. I can connect the phone fine in my computer and go though the memory card fine there but it just wont connect to pc suite
I have one problem I can't connect my phone to Pc suite I do everything what I need and it still says that I have to tun on pc suite mode on my phone even when it's on what could be the problem? My phone is E72 THX for help BTW same is with ovi suite its says that my phone is not in PC suite mod and it can't recognize but I tuned pc suite usb mode on phone and I also what to conect to map loader but I can't as weal.
I have recently bought a 5230 and cannot connect it with PC suite. I am using the cable connection as my p does not have a Bluetooth, but it has infra red which the phone does not.
I'm new and I have troubles with my new nokia. I haven't found a solution yet. I have a micro usb-cable with the label "AC 108" "CA 101" from a local handy-dealer. When I connect the phone via "PC Suite Mode" to my pc (windows xp sp2) neither OVI suite nor pc suite recognize the phone correctly. After a few minutes both applications fail and ask me to repeat the steps. I get the error message: pc suite does not recognize the connected phone. The connection between the pc and the phone failed, error code 0x80044403. I switch off phone, switch it on, and try again.
However the phone is recognized by windows correctly. I get a popup with choices to open the phone from "windows portable device". The phone is in the hardwaremanager under "portable devices", "modems" and "wireless communication devices". I have tried to deinstal the software, i tried the nokia pc suite cleaner and i tried the different usb-modes of the phone. when i choose "mediatransfer" the phone is recognized by ovi suite but it says to use the pc-suite mode instead.
When I connect my mobile c5-03 to my computer it asks me to select the connection type. The options are, OVI Suite, Mass storage,Image transfer and Media transfer. I have selected all the options and tried but i cannot connect the mobile to my PC suite?
I am the proud owner of a new E52. I love the phone and the battery life is superb and I'd like to keep it that way. While I'm at work I use the data cable normally to connect the phone to pc suite and I use pc suite to respond to sms etc. However I notice the E52 also charges on usb. I love this feature but I wanted to ask will this decrease the battery life or shorten its life span. I would like sure answers if possible and not just hunches as I really dont want to damage the battery.
I cant seem to connect to my ovi account via ovi suite (could not sign in), it asks if the internet connection is working.Though when i try log in via the ovi website I have no issues.
It wouldnt have bothered me but now it asks to log in for me to update the phone software so cant update. If this doesnt get resolved I am hoping that software updater in pc suite still works? I had this response from Nokia but not very helpful:"This problem could be related to security software on your PC preventing Ovi Suite from accessing the internet.
In general, we recommend setting the security settings to Medium level within any security software. Setting security to High level may cause issues in attempting to sign into the Ovi Suite Service or when downloading music. You may need to check with the vendor of your security software for specific configuration instructions."
I've trawled through quite a few posts and I'm struggling to find the answer to my current issue with PC Suite, Ovi Suite & Windows 7.
PC Suite Version - 7.1.40.6 (Downloaded from Website 4/2/10 UK Formated Date) Windows - Win 7 32 Bit (Upgraded from Vista) Ovi Suite - 2.0.2.42 Connectivity - Via USB Cable 5800xm Version - 31.0.101 - RM356
Previously I used Windows Vista with my Sony Vaio Laptop without any issues. However Sony sent me some Windows 7 Upgrade Discs and of course I upgraded without looking into issues as I was sure that Nokia Software would be 7 Compatible, guessing i was wrong. Neither of the 2 applications can connect with my Phone since upgrading to Windows 7.
Both just sit there on the Connectivity Screen and eventually inform me that they cannot connect to the device or no device present. Inside my Device Manager i have several errors which are obviously causing my error. The following Names are displayed as NOT INSTALLED.
Generic Phone LCIF_Alt0 PC Suite-Services SYNCML-SYNC
I've removed and re-installed both Ovi Suite and PC Suite and still the drivers dont appear. I've tried to remove and reinstall the devices via Device Manager, but Windows still reports the devices as NO Drivers. Where can i get these drivers from so PC Suite / Ovi can connect to my Device? Nokia Ovi Player works and transfers music with no problems, so the Cable is fine
I have recently bought Nokia E5-00, so far the phone is just too great.
the only place where I went disappointed is the connectivity of the phone with Nokia PC suite. i have tried many billions time to connect, but i failed.
whenever i connect my phone to PC via cable, it asks me to connect via PC suite or mass storage or rest other option. when i hit PC suite, my computer start finding something and then all of sudden my phone ask again what way you want to connect your phone and again and again. its working perfectly fine if i hit Mass storage. it just the PC suite which aint connecting. i have tried it on my brother's computer but its coming up with same error.
I am trying to connect my Nokia 6085h handset to a Samsung laptop via Bluetooth so I can use PC Suite to back up phone settings, contact list, etc. It simply won't work. I previously ran PC Suite 7.1 on a Dell Inspiron notebook with Bluetooth and had no trouble connecting to the phone, transferring data through PC Suite, etc. But now I keep getting a "Cannot authenticate the phone" error despite doing everything correctly. Here's what's really strange: I am able to connect to the phone through Windows 7's built-in Bluetooth browser (Control Panel->Hardware and Sound->Devices and Printers->Bluetooth Devices). I had no trouble pairing the phone with my laptop's Bluetooth device, and I can copy files to/from the phone's memory card. I don't see how Windows 7 is able to connect to the phone, yet PC Suite 7.1 refuses to connect. the computer is a Samsung NP300V5A-A02US running Windows 7 Home Premium 64-bit.
I've Nokia 701.The Nokia PC suite version is 7.1, I'm unable to connect my 701 to PC suite.I tried on the desktop and a laptop but it doesn't detect properly. It detects the phone as some "port_something"!It could be because of fp2?
I just purchased this awesome unit, unfortunately, I am having difficulties installing the CDC Comms Interface driver for this device. I have Win7 Ultimate.
I need to transfer my phone contacts from my C903 to my X10 mini before the 24th but bluetooth isn't working - "paired but not connected" mesg - and more importantly, the C903 will not connect to PC Suite or PC Companion. When the phone is connnected via USB, the PC finds the Camera aspect of the phone but not the phone itself. When the phone is in Mass Storage the C903 connects to both PC Suite and PC Companion ok. I've tried the standard fixes but to no avail.
I just upgraded my 5230 phone software and can no longer connect to the maps in ovi suite on my pc. I just get the error message that my internet isn't working, which isn't the case.I've rebooted my pc, and restarted the phone, same problem. I can access ovi maps on the phone but just can't get it to connect with my pc.can anyone help?
I am unable to connect my laptop and my phone (5800 XpressMusic) through Bluetooth. When I run 'Nokia PC suite', it detects the phone, it also asks for the pairing code and then I get a message (on my laptop) - "Cannot authenticate the phone".
Every time i try to connect the satio to the pc suite,it tells me its found the phone and is installing the drivers but, then after 10 mins or more it says it can`t find the phone.downloaded up to date pc suite 6.. what to do now?
I have installed Nokia suite 3.2.100 just now, but after updating when ever I want to connect to PC my Nokia E7it says"Device driver software installation failed".Till yestarday it was working fine with ovi suitebut this nokia suite definitely has some bug I guess. I tried to uninstall and then install the connectivity cable driver but the issue remains.
When I plug the cable in my phone and notebook, the phone asks me to select the connection type. I select PC Suite. I have downloaded the latest version, but PC Suite does not connect with my phone. I use Windows XP Home Edition SP2I don't have a clue about the cable type, but it fits. There is no SD card in it
I have problem to download maps into my phone (Nokia C6-00, last firmware v40.0.021). If I launch Ovi Suite (v3.1.1.90) and go to Maps section, screen "Connecting to the map service..." is displayed, but after while: "Couldn't connect to the service - There seems to be a problem with connecting to the online map service. If the problem doesn't go away, please try again later.".
I'm connected over WiFi and all is working normally. I tried connection over USB cable and bluetooth as well, restart computer and phone, reinstall Ovi Suite, format memory card, reinstall device software, reset to factory settings, full reset to initial state (*#7370#) but it wasn't worked.
Versions of the maps in my phone: v3.06 11wk13 b01 MW OpenGL MN Map version 0.2.44.110
If I launch maps in my phone and go to Update, there is option "Add new maps", after select appropriate map and click on Download is progress bar "Installing, please wait!" displayed, but process ends with error message "Map download failed!".
A problem occurs when I try to connect my Nokia 5800 XpressMusic in PC suit mode. I have a PC that uses windows Vista. It shows the problem with the MTP driver. MTP driver is not successfully installed. what should I do?
I am trying to use PC suite to connect to internet. It says connected but nothing works. I need to define proxy settings but I cant find where to. In help it says if it uses proxy settings uncheck server settings but I cant find any of this.
I used the Ovi suite to install the free maps on my E72 which work great but the software itself is very poorly written, too many bugs and problems so i would like to uninstall it and use the PC suite instead. can I now update my phone using the PC suite with it's updater software or do I have to now rely on the Ovi suite.
The reason I ask instead of having two pieces of software is i want to a Vista/XP (two machines) clean install followed by a Ghost DVD so the smaller image the better (plus i dont like to have **bleep** installed on my machine:-)
Was using PC Suite for my C902 -- stored my contacts, could write/read/send texts through my PC, etc.. Now have an X10 Mini, which I cannot connect to PC Suite. If not, is there another "PC Suite"-like application out there?
Can i tranfer data from PC suite to OVI Suite - I need transfer all data from Nokia 6230i to new Nokia 6303 classic, or how to do it?. N 6230i is not connectable to OVI suite!
How can I make my nokia E71 sync back with PC Suite after I started using OVI Suite? I have a Nokia E71, and i was using Nokia PC Suite to sync it with my outlook 2007 it all worked fine, contacts, to do notes and calendar (i wasn't syncing mail cuase i use gmail), untill the new ovi suite came out and i decided to try it since It sounded better.turns out It really sucked this ovi suite!! one of the worst softwares I've ever used, it duplicated all of the appointments that had color categories in outlook 2007, it is dead slow to sync!!!(i mean reeeaaly slow), even tough the Suite integrates more stuff in to one place it has reduced funcionality to sync stuff with my phone, it offers less funtions, not to mention that the user interface sukcs (its poorly desingned, it takes long to accses stuff, it shows me stuff as if it was advertisement).PC suite was very simple but funcional, oviously i went back to pc suite, to my surprise i couldn't sync, pc suite & the phone would do as if they were syncing, but when i checked at the end it wouldn't sync stuff.
