got notification of the update to 2.1 downloaded the latest version of Backup/Restore and did that before updating the phone.
However, after a Restore, I can't find any of my contacts (I've read already that's a problem), but worse, none of the applications I had installed are recorded, and some (like iDestination) I paid a lot of money for
Stamina mode doesn't work apparently on my phone. I try all the configurations but the software doesn't turn off the wifi and neither the mobile data coming from the operator when i block and turn off the screen of the device. I continue receiving information from all the apps and i haven't done any exception on the stamina configuration.

The native backup solution of Android 4 (Ice Cream Sandwich, ICS) is not working on my setup.
On my windows command line:
adb backup -apk -shared -all
gives me the following in ddms (Dalvik Debug Monitor):

Normally a phone with ICS should ask me to allow the backup process. But on my phone just nothing happens.Is this behavior "Unable to launch full backup confirmation" desired by Sony?What is the Sony way of doing a full backup of my phone?
i purchased my X10 from greece and the version i bought was the X10i because that was the only offered but thats the one i need being that i now live in the USA and i use Tmobile (Tmobile 3G compatibility).about 15 days ago my xperia could not start (for the second time) so i sent it to the SE support center in the US (for the second time) and they told me that the motherboard is fried and they need to replace it which they did but the problem is that only the X10a is offered int he US so they changed it to that. im ok with that change due to the fact that i barely use it nowadays since i am near wifi most of the time.Now, my Problem is that before i sent it to get fixed (the second time) having an X10i i upgraded the OS to 2.X and i also backed up all my contacts/bookmarks/txts etc to my memory card (mini sd card) with backup and restore and i had it set to back it all up every night(which it did). unfortunately X10a does not have the 2.X upgrade yet but still i went to the m.sonyericsson.com/backup site to download the latest backup and restore software and when i tried to restore my contactsit tells me "could not restore data"is that because i dont have the new OS ( 2.X ) or is it because i dont have the X10i motherboard anymore? or is it because of some other reason i cant think of...?also, is there anyway i can restore my contacts/call logs/txts etc?

View 8 Replies View Relatedi was wondering if anyone could help me to find my contacts! i used the backup function on my phone then reset the phone thinking i could restore my contacts! after resetting i went to restore and the percentage went up and said it had finished but still no contacts! call log restored though! i then tried to import the ones i had saved on my sim again it finishes loading but when i go into phonebook it comes up with the same screen saying, import sim contacts, sync and google sync. however when a sim contact txt me their name appeared! yet i cant get to them in my phonebook! also now my phone wont acsess the internet, i have enables data trafficing but it wont open the browser.what is going on! is there a simple solution i have missed?

View 2 Replies View RelatedI changed my contract from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4 in may 2011. Since then my USB does not work properly and the earphones, well one ear works and the other doesn't. I then went online to check if I could get a replacement for both which I am still not sure that accessories are covered under tha warranty. Then I put my serial number and it said that my phone was out of coverage which doesn't make sense as I got the phone in may 2011 and it's only April 2012.Not a year yet.

I have a lot of music that I put on my iPhone 4 using my old computer. And I have not synced my phone since. I have not been able to access that music for a few days now. I did still have access to all the music that I purchased from iTunes and all the music that I uploaded to the cloud using iTunes match on my new computer. But now apparently my music folder is completely empty.

My 8520 is apparently corrupted and requires a reset. I have backed up the phone via the desktop software and would like to make doubly sure that the backup also includes my contacts....? If I were to reset the phone, and then install the backup will my contacts be re-installed?

My iPhone 3gs has been getting slower and slower over some time now. Sometimes it could take up to one minuet to lock the phone after pressing the button. Also my photos was unavailable from the iPhone, every time I tried to access the photos or an application tried to save a photo, the app crashed. So I decided that it might be an idea to take a backup start over on the phone. Recovery to factory settings seems to go fine, and efter I unlock the sim card for the first time, I am asked if I would like to recover from itunes, iCould or make a new phone. I select itunes and connect to my computer, it downloads all data to the phone, and begins to reboot. In the reboot, it freezes on the screen with the apple logo and the statusbar on approxemately 15 %.

View 9 Replies View RelatedIn December, I accidentally slammed a car door on my beloved Nexus 4 and was lucky enough to replace it with a shiny new Nexus 5. The transition to the new phone was smooth, as anticipated, and I've been enjoying my N5.
Now my boss has me selling old computer crap that no one wants on eBay and I've run into a problem. I took pictures of the items with my N5 and went to download them from the Auto Backup so I could create the listings on a desktop.
But my Google+ Auto Backup pictures stop in December, showing only pictures from my N4.
I'm running stock Android 4.4.2 and using Camera Zoom as my photo app (photos show up in the Photo app just fine). I have Auto Backup turned on and it tells me the backup is up to date. If I sign out of the Photos app, sign back in, turn Auto Backup back on and tell it to "update all", it says "uploading 96 of 97 photos". Then nothing is uploaded.
I have it set to upload on cellular data and as far as I can tell, nothing is preventing the upload, except that Auto Backup thinks nothing needs to be uploaded. It's almost like the photos are being backed up somewhere that I just can't find. I'm only using one Google account on this phone, so where they'd be besides my Google+ account.
I need to restore the backup to my iphone 3gs but the password associated with my Apple ID. It says the password I entered is not correct. Should i be putting in my Apple ID password or would it be a different password to unlock the backup.

I don't have a back up password (or if i do i don't remember it) so I just typed in something so i could sign in with my google account. I typed in my correct email and password but its saying my password is invalid. I know its not invalid because I just used it on my computer. So now i really stuck..what do i do? View 1 Replies View RelatedMy wife turned her Galaxy S5 on yesterday, slid her finger across the scanner to open the phone and it came up with the print not recognised message (as it has many times before). This time however, it did not allow her to scan her print again. the screen changed and asked her for a back up password, not a problem as she has done this a fair few times too, it just seemed strange that it only allowed one stroke of the scanner before asking for this. We have tried her back up password many times (and any other password we could think of) but the phone will not unlock, nor will it return to the normal lock screen and allow her to try her print again.
We have logged onto Android device manager and tried the lock screen hack (to obtain another password) but it just tells us that the screen is already locked so another password is not necessary.
I want to take backup and restore the data later.... how can this be done ?
