BB Curve :: 8520 Is Apparently Corrupted And Requires A Reset?
Dec 8, 2011
My 8520 is apparently corrupted and requires a reset. I have backed up the phone via the desktop software and would like to make doubly sure that the backup also includes my contacts....? If I were to reset the phone, and then install the backup will my contacts be re-installed?
Every so often the internet connection on my phone will stop responding, just sits on the browser with "connecting". If I go to the the app world I can successfully download an application without any problems. t purely seems to be the browser that gets stuck, doing a hard reset will fix the issue, clearning the cache, history, pushed content will not fix it. ny ideas as having to do a hard restart to get my browser working is getting tiresome. BlackBerry Bold 97806.0 Bundle 1306 (v6.0.0.359, Platform 6.5.0.93)3G Bands 1,4,8WLAN Version: 4.2.1.68
I enabled a password on my blackberry, using the name 'elliott' all lower case as the password. Now it says my password I'm entering is wrong. The next time I enter it, it says it will wipe all the information if I enter it incorrectly.
My BB curve 8520 is getting reset frequently...It works properly for sometime and suddenly shows Application error and requests us to reset the phone...
What will be the problem...The handset was bought in March 2011...
In my Blackberry curve 8520 general settings option is not available under security option in settings,Because of this i am not able to find factory restore
My Berry isnt stolen and I have used it problem free for a while. I started to use a password yesterday. Woke up today....and have a white screen with JVM 513 reset. I can do nothing to change it. Dont know how to download anything etc etc as I can do nothing to get out of here.
bb has been stuck on the reset screen and I have no idea what to do... It has never fall or spilled with water... however I downloaded a new application for photos and in general lately was a little bit slow. the bb has stuck on letter E and i have download the desktop manager but it doesn't seem to recognize the device either I have no data back up.
I have got a blackberry of my nephew and I can't change blackberry ID to mine as he has forgotten his ID and password so it won't let me change it so is there anyway I can reset phone ta please this is for a blackberry curve 8520.
I am going to be putting my 8520 on Ebay soon, and would like to get all my details off it, and was wondering if this is just a case of factory resetting the phone, and if so, where is this option on the phone, I cannot seem to find it.
Everyone says go to options - security options - general options - wipe handheld.
When I go to security options, all the options I have are: Advanced Security Options Encryption Firewall Information Security Wipe
I have been reading that the security wipe won't get rid of everything. When I go into security wipe, it says if I wipe "Emails, Contacts, etc." you will not be able to send or receive email on the device after you wipe it.
Does that mean on this phone ever again, or just from the email addresses I am wiping?
how do i reset my phone back to factory os and wipe everything off my phone as if it was bran new. i noticed when i reinstalled the .459 os i still had some of my software on my phone i want to do a clean wipe with a fresh install any help would be nice...
my daughters fone wasnt sending or recieving texts or calls, contacted o2 they said do factory hard reset, the fone worked for a while after but kept restarting itself, now it will not switch on at all and when tryin to charge it either displays a battery sign with a red cross or the bb light flashes intermitting...
my wifes 8530 we just did the BB App World upgrade. Now we can't see or find the icon to open and use it. After being on the phone with Verizon for a while they contacted BB and this is what I was told to do.
-Download BB desktop manager on my computer -Backup all data from the phone -Do a hard reset which will delete all data from the phone -Reinstall all data from desktop manager back to phone and then the icon should appear
I was playin with my girl's phone tryin to guess her password and after too many attempts the phone seems to have factory reset. The pictures are still loaded so I believe the SD card wasn't reformatted. How do I reset it?
On Sunday I got a Blackberry Curve 8520 and I loveeee it, except for one problem: I cant browse the internet nor do anything internet related.I have unlimited web and I am able to connect to wi-fi @ my house (uma signal is showing and very strong)When I open the browser, I get error unknown your homepage is temporarily unavailable. please try later.
If I attempt to access any website, then I get subscription upgrade require or subscription upsell required. What's the deal?I do not have the data plan for BB, but I do have unlimited web, if that means anything. Regardless, I should still be able to connect via wi-fi...
Basically, my phone isn't unlocked. It's on Orange and I've never had a problem with it before. I've had it for about a year now, using the same SIM card and it's all worked fine. My SIM card is Orange too and the same one I've been using since I got it, so I'm not sure why it's popping up with this message, I can't do anything on my phone now because it won't recognise my SIM? I've tried soft resetting, taking the battery out, taking the SIM out..
I have an email that I think got corrupted and I am unable to delete it. I have tried all the reboot methods. I cannot remember it but there was a keystroke combination that will allow the deletion.
I've just loaded my blackberry user tools disc on my laptop. Now its asking for my devise password, however its not excepting my password. Has it set it back to the factory settings?
got notification of the update to 2.1 downloaded the latest version of Backup/Restore and did that before updating the phone.
However, after a Restore, I can't find any of my contacts (I've read already that's a problem), but worse, none of the applications I had installed are recorded, and some (like iDestination) I paid a lot of money for
I changed my contract from an iPhone 3GS to an iPhone 4 in may 2011. Since then my USB does not work properly and the earphones, well one ear works and the other doesn't. I then went online to check if I could get a replacement for both which I am still not sure that accessories are covered under tha warranty. Then I put my serial number and it said that my phone was out of coverage which doesn't make sense as I got the phone in may 2011 and it's only April 2012.Not a year yet.
have a BB 9300 curve an downloaded music files to the music folder. Everything played and was working fine.I then uploaded and deleted some music files through the bb pc software via the usb cable. Now everything seems corrupted and none works properly. The files are in the play list, but I can't play or delete them. The main screen also shows that there are 12 songs in the library, but there are only 8 (of which none work)
Stamina mode doesn't work apparently on my phone. I try all the configurations but the software doesn't turn off the wifi and neither the mobile data coming from the operator when i block and turn off the screen of the device. I continue receiving information from all the apps and i haven't done any exception on the stamina configuration.
I left for work this morning and I would love to listen to some music but but apparently the library is empty. I have a lot of music that I put on my iPhone 4 using my old computer. And I have not synced my phone since. I have not been able to access that music for a few days now. I did still have access to all the music that I purchased from iTunes and all the music that I uploaded to the cloud using iTunes match on my new computer. But now apparently my music folder is completely empty.
I have noticed that in the last months the battery of my Torch 9800 gets drained in less than a day without using the phone. I tried rebooting the phone by pulling the battery out, and curiously the battery charge went from 7% to 50%. I have tried this more than once and it always works.
i'd only used the sgs2 for a couple of days before going on holiday for a couple of weekshile away i turned off data roaming (there was wifi where i was staying)ll advertised sw updates had been appliedhe sgs2 was repeatedly shutting down - not rebooting, powering off - sometimes 4-5 times in a single daya couple of times it did this just as i pressed the home key - the screen would light up, but in less than a second it went black - the phone had turned offit happened when on battery, it happened when plugged into the charger, in a case, out of a case, in my pocket, sitting on a tableried lots of things, deleting apps, reset, etc., no difference'd turn it on when i noticed, by chance i found that sometimes it powered up with data roaming enabled, all by itself, annoying, i disabled it again, then always checked after each shut down, maybe one in 4-5 times it restarted with roaming enabledow that i'm back in the uk, no more problems, hasn't shut down once in three dayssim is vodafone, the network the phone roamed to was vodafone spainaside from roaming, and turning off data roaming, nothing else changed
