I have a Sony Ericsson X10, changed out the 8gb micro sd with 32 one. Phone won't read it and states it is damaged and needs reformatting. Yet it won't reformat the Micro SD. Plug it into my computer and it recognizes it as a 32GB card. MediaGo recognizes it as a 2gb card. All software, phone and mediago has been updated.

I can't see it and when I go to storage screen and touch Mount SD Card, nothing happens. When I plug the Xoom into my laptop via USB, laptop only sees internal memory, not microSD. I was previously using a Sandisk 8Gb microSD that worked fine

View 6 Replies View Relatedmy first post here. I've had problems with a 32Gb card, don't know if the problem is the card or the "SDHC" standar. If I change to the 8Gb card that came with the mobile everything works fine.If I copy music to the phone via media sync or just dragging files only few of the files appear in the phone. i.e: For a 10 track album I only see 4 songs. Also having problems with pictures or videos, the files seems to be corrupted. Any ideas? I'm using Snow Leopard + Sony ericsson Media Sync. Also tried Saling Media Sync.Vivaz software version: 1224-4699_R2CA026

Now i want to ask you people that can i really use 32GB crad in it or shall i buy 16 GBs card instead? I am asking this because some of the dealers at my place said not to use maximum-supported card in nokia as it can hang or freeze the mobile. So, is it true???Also, since i can't get this card at my place i am planning to buy it from Ebay.in. I never used that site or any other site for shopping. So, is it safe and trustworthy or shall i get the card from any shop??

I emailed scandisk and they said its a common problem with nokias they put a password on the memory cards if you take them out and put them back in or update your phone etc. Scandisk have assured me that they do not make the memory cards to have passwords and its nokias fault. Can anyone pls help i cannot access my kids photos now and cannot afford to lose them No matter which phone i use it comes up enter password. Currently i am using nokia 6300 and 6600. One person on a different forum suggested going to file manager, settings, system folders, getting a file called MMCSTORE bluetooth to your pc open in notepad and password is in there. BUT i dont have anyone of these options in my phone especially file manager!

View 3 Replies View RelatedI just recently bought a 16gb Micro SD memory card online, but it doesn't work. I put it into my phone and it says to format and I format and everything. After formatting is complete, I connect my phone to my computer so I can sync it with my itunes. The problem occurs as soon as it gets done syncing. After it's done syncing and I disconnect my from computer, the "format memory card" message comes up again. If I say no, none of the music comes to my phone. Then I go to option > memory and then it says memory card is not readable. It has to be formatted because it might be corrupted. If I select yes to format it, all the data that I just synced erases and I'm back to the beginning. This happens every single time I do it.
However, one thing I notice was when I stop the syncing halfway through, the memory card works. But if I let it sync all 600 songs (which is about 5-6 gb out of 16), the memory card fails.can anyone help me? Maybe someone had a problem like this and found a solution. Appreciate all the help I receive. BTW, I'm using the Bold 9700 for tmobile.
I have a Telus Curve 8330 and only have about 2 mb left of space so the phone has been freezing. I have a 8 gb micro sd card in there and I wanted to save my apps and everything possible in there.

i just bought a used xperia play and a new 32gb sd card class 4 (adata). the memory works fine in my laptop but when i put it in the phone it wont do anything, it wont let me mount or anything, its like there isn't anything insde. i already read that the back cover has to be placed proporly so it is pressing the little white switch, the cover is properly placed. okay just now i used the update service program and it says it has modified content, okay i know its a used phone so it is totaly possible but how to i get it back to original firmware or software or whatever, im new to andriod so what am i suppose to do (already have PC companion and update service), sorry for my bad grammer but right now im fricking out! this is the phone of my dreams and i can't enjoy it because of the sd card!! right now im going to restore to factory but i fear it will brick my phone since i got that "modified content" message.
in the worst case senario, say the sd reader is broken, how much does sony charge to fix it? do they even fix it? if they do, do thay have it in mexico?details: i formated the micro sd card on my laptop on FAT 32
On the Verizon website, they state a 16gb max micro SD card for the incredible. On the HTC site, they state 32gb max.I purchased a 32gb card only to have the HTC Incredible take forever to load things (music) to the card. When there, it stores the dir structure, but erases the contents of some of the content.I also notice that the LOST.DIR gets full of files with numbers for filenames and no extensions.I've also experienced that the card gets completely wiped by the phone.I've re-formatted the drive numerous times, both in the phone an dexternal. Each time the formatting states all good.Load everything back onto the card, rebooted device, empty card again.left phone running, reloaded card externally and inserted the card. it only finds a few music items in the "music" directory and again cleans out some others.
Done a phone diagnostic, checked that the phone does see all 32 gb, everything looks good.I posted a message to the HTC customer support and so far been ignored. Is there anyone else having this sort of problem ?
Will the Bionic except a 32gb chip?
View 8 Replies View RelatedI have run a variety of custom roms on both phones. One of my favorites was the aosp version 2.2.1 from Wolfbreak, that allowed applications like Abobe Flashplayer 10.3 which is a large application >10 MB; to be moved to the SD card. Now what happened to this very effective button that is now shaded out in the new 2.3.3 firmware? I'm not seeing the "move to SD card" button lit up in any of the custom roms for 2.3. either. Only a few apps I was able to move to the SD, most of them cannot be moved anymore. I think that it is important for the xperia x10, which does not have the amount of on board ram than some of it's cousins like the samsung captivate for example, where the need to run apps from the SD card is basically built in with 16 GB thumb drive that's buried, and an additional expandable memory slot for users to install any size up to 32 GB micro sdhc chip, which brings up my second half of a question, I tried a couple different brands/rw speed class micro sd chips in my xperia(s) and so far I can't find a 32 GB size that either xperia will reconize. I haven't tried a class 2 yet, maybe that's the problem. In any case I noted the x10 can't handle anything larger than 16 GB. If there is a 32 GB (the white pages say it handles 32 but doesn't show anything else) that works, I'd like to here from any user who has had such success, what brand, class/speed they have found that works.
