View 1 Replies View RelatedI bought this 128 GB SDHC card. When I try to load music onto it, it recognizes about 10 GB and then everything after that it says "player does not support this kind of file," though it's all just mp3s or m4as, both of which the card is recognizing. The files get loaded onto the card but can't be played, or even organized by artist or title. I've tried formatting, no good. I even contacted the seller and had him send me a new one, but the same problem occurred, so it's not a defect in one single card. I've tried loading the files through a card reader and directly through the phone, no luck. If it's a 128 GB card, how come it won't recognize any files past 10 GB?
Update: I just ran SD Insight on my phone. It tells me the model is APPSD and the size of the card is 134 GB. However, under manufacturer, it says, "SD card is invalid." Some more info from the scan: Serial #0x687, manufactured June 2015, SD card specification: physical layer version 2.00, CPRM security support: SDHC card (security version 2.00).
My photon does not read the Micro SD card. This problem has been there for 2 months. I never had a need to use the Micro SD card so i did not bother.
This seemed to happen since the last software update. Before that, it worked fine. The phone simply does not recognize any Micro SD cards. I tried 2 different micro sds and the same thing happened.
The buttons where it says"Mount SD card" are always disabled(shaded). And the phone does not let me erase data from SD card either.I tried the reset from Privacy>Factory Reset. Same thing happened. It reset the phone but it still does not read Micro SD.
Using a microUSB SD card reader? Does the phone micro-USB have enough power to read a camera's SD card?

View 9 Replies View Related2 days ago my phone randomly looses signal, (I'm in the middle of London in location at which I would normally get at least 4 bars 'H' signal), I wait for 10 minutes still nothing so I try and turn it off, the phone freezes/gets stuck with the 'phone shutting down' message on display. At this point I decide to just take the battery out and put it back in, after doing so the phone will not turn on what so ever. When I get home that evening I try to charge it, nothing, no lights and still won't turn on.
Taking the battery out again, followed by the sim card and memory card I notice that the memory card has a crack in it, all the way across and just under the gold contacts. I think nothing of it as surely this couldn't have happened while it was in the phone and must have been there the whole time, so put everything back in and try again. Nothing. Open it up again and take out the memory card, leaving it out this time I try again and the phone starts up.So Sony Ericsson,
How do you view all the files on your inserted micro sd card? Is it possible to do without installing a new app?

View 6 Replies View RelatedHere are options that I have tried:- Ensuring Back cover is on completely- Purchased new Micro SDHC card- Updated Xperia Play to latest software using PC Companion- Removing and re-inserting card whilst on, and whilst off.- Searching for related issues (None found, except back cover issues).
When the phone discovers the card, after attempting a mount it tells me "Blank or unnsupported card".Being un-able to connect my SDHC card prevents me from playing any games installed on the device, using the camera/video, and installing new programs or games.
Been having my Z3 for 3 months now running Android lollipop, I installed a new 128GB micro Sd few a month ago and it was working properly until a week ago, I restarted my phone and all applications on SD went missing, I couldn't access any application of them all am getting is an icon of blue print with a red SD circle ND if I try to access it an error pops up "application not found".
I plugged the phone to my laptop still I couldn't access the Sd card, so I took it off the phone and tried accessing it through an SD adapter and it worked fine, I can find everything properly saved in the card.
Tried formatting it and installing it again in my Z3, MY PHONE recognized it Instantly, but after restarting the phone all applications went missing again.
In Contacts, at the top above "My number" it says "Cannot read SIM card". I got a new SIM card in case the old one was faulty but it's just the same. Rest of phone seems to work OK, including Contacts I've added.

View 3 Replies View RelatedI do have a question regarding my Xperia Z3 Compact memory card slot max. read/write speed. I tried to find out from the Hungarian and UK technical support, but no hope, none of them knows the answer. Quite embarrassing they don't know the information about a product that they design and sell.
So i would like to buy a 64GB micro card but if the phone cannot read/write for example 90 mb/s I would rather not buy that fast card.
