Let the battery run out and plugged it into charger overnite. Didn't charge. Tried the usb into the pc and got the battery with the lightning bolt symbol. Plugged into wall outlet wont work. What gives? I tried taking out the battery for 5-10 mins and still nothing.

So I went to my service provider and they didn't sell any actual Xperia x10 chargers so I bought a universal charger. So now I'm on my second charger, and my phone won't charge. Any time I plug it in or even get it started it either turns off or the battery starts draining instead of charging. I don't know what to do with this phone. There is no water damage and I haven't even had my phone for a year.

View 1 Replies View RelatedHow to set the phone to Charge Only when connected to a pc with a USB cable? Just got my M8 from Verizon yesterday. On any other android devices I've owned, when you connect the device to my Mac with a USB cable, you get the option to change the connection type: Charge only, disk drive, usb tethering (or HTC sync, for HTC devices).
On the M8, When I connect it to my Mac, I get a notification saying "Media device [MTP] connected", and another notice saying "USB connected - Tap to change settings". The MTP notice doesn't do anything when tapped. Tapping the USB connected notice, takes me to the Mobile Hotspot & tethering settings page. I've got "Mobile Hotspot" and "Bluetooth tethering" both turned off. "USB network setting" is set to "None". There doesn't appear to be an option to specify charge only.
On the Mac, it mounts a filesystem containing only the HTC Sync Manager (which won't run, because it was compiled for old PowerPC Macs).
I ran my ipod all night and ran the battery dead, when I plugged it in the phone never beeped that it was charging and the indicator showed it needed a charge. Now it's totally dead and won't take a charge at all?
Could I have damaged the plug in socket on the phone? I've tried 3 different cords, and my 12v plug my 110v plug and plugging it into my computer. I got nothing???
Can it be taken a part and cleeaned? where the cord plugs into the phone?

This just started happening about two weeks ago. I would plug it in at night like I normally do, and the icon would show that it's connected but not charging. Also, every once and a while a message will pop up and say the device does not support the accessory even though it's the charger it came with.

For a while now, my iphone 4s will not stay connected to the iMac. It will register when I plug it in to the USB port, but after a minute it will just drop connection. I tried to backup it into iTunes but it kicks me out when the connection is lost.Â

I had this problem a couple times before but it happens way more frequently since the update to 5.0I've searched the forums and found a couple others with this problem, but no one seemed to know what the issue is.
Sometimes when I plug in the charger, the phone will not charge. The phone will go into bedside mode (with the clock displayed) and the little battery icon in the corner will have the little yellow lightning bolt in it. Then... nothing. It doesn't charge and sometimes seems like it DRAINS the battery.
Then battery will completely drain and auto power-off. When I plug the phone back in the screen goes all white with a large battery icon in the center of the screen with a blue lightning bolt through it. According to what I have been reading here, some think it is a faulty battery and some think it is a faulty USB port.
The light just blinks and nothing else happens nothing else lights up nothing turns on it is not water damaged and I never hacked or updated it.

When I take off the charger and put it back, it starts to charge.

I brought it home and it was charging again at home too. I thought it must have been some fluke. Only now it is doing it again. It is a phone that was purchased from TMOBILE that was unlocked so that she can use with her Service provider. During this week gone, she plugged her bb into her PC and an error came up. the PC asked if to fix the error or contnue without scanning. She selected the latter. Then yesterday, when she plugged her phone in to charge it immediately shut off. After putting it back on she plugged it in again to charge and the same thing happened again. Since then, she is unable open her pictures in her media folder- She can only preview it.Also when she tries to send a picture via BBM she only sees two of the pictures that she has on her phone and is unable to select any of them to send to a contact.She also isn't able to change her profile picture in BBM.She has done countless battery pulls and the issues stated still exists. she was however able to charge her phone without it shutting down this morning. But all other issues mentioned still exists.She is running the OS that came with her Phone 5.0.0.330. She had an issue with her Phone previously and when she took it into our service provider they had to downgrade her OS back to stock for it to function properly.If anyone has any solution to the problems stated please reply to this post. Any help would be deeply appreciated. If anyone has had a similar problem and was able to fix it please let me know what u did. Also if anyone has any solutions that they think may help please let me know.

My wife and I both have icons. With both of our phones, it seems to take an excessively long time for the phone to identify that it has been plugged in to charge. In some cases, it won't give the notification sound for upwards of a minute. I don't think I've had a single phone that actually did that.

View 1 Replies View RelatedI plugged my 8330 in my computer to charge and it just shut off immediately.... now i cant get it to turn on... the red led comes on and then shuts off, the screen flashes white for a moment, then the led comes on again, and it repeats this cycle... it has turned on once since its been doing this and i tried to plug it into my computer to back it up, but it just shut off again and its been doing the cycle ever since. i already have a new phone i just need the numbers and stuff from my old one.... if anyone knows what might be happening please help me out.... i cant plug in the phone because when i do it shuts off.... im going to have to back it up using bluetooth. btw i can completely dissasemble the phone if necessary, its just a pile of junk right now anyway... all i want is my phone numbers from it so anyway u think i might be able to get it to turn, and yes... i have tried pulling the battery

I'm having a problem with an Xperia X8.First off, I should explain that it's second hand, and there's the possibility that the warranty period is over already (most likely the case).
The phone is running on 2.1, the latest update for X8. But the phone doesn't charge when it's plugged. Whenever I use USB or a charger, the orange light comes on quite alright. But the battery status stays as 'Discharging'.I know there are several forums and such that probably have answers, but the problems I've been seeing have differed in one way or the other (for example one person said his battery stayed at 30%-31% and sometimes wipes out to 5%) so I'm skeptical about trying the solutions lest I do some big harm to the phone.Presently I'm using an external charger, meaning I have to remove my battery each time I want to charge it, leaving my phone switched off for the duration. You can imagine how uncomfortable this is. I should probably note that my battery has managed to hit 78% with the external charger, but I also fear that continuously using the external charger will get the battery bad at some point.
There's no update for the phone again. Is there anything I can do to get this battery solution fixed? Maybe repair phone software or something like that?
I have moved some apps to sd card (lollipop new feature via setting-app), then I plug the otg flashdisk. Applications which I've moved to sd card is missing and leaving just shortcut, but it will come back again after I reboot. How to solve it without having to reboot?
View 4 Replies View RelatedWhen I woke up in the morning today,  I noticed that my Xperia Z3 Dual only shows the led in red (constant, not blinking) when I plug in to charge. I cant power on pressing the Power button, cant even restart using Power + Volume buttons. I also tried the recovery procedure from PC Companion, power off then Volume and power on, connect to PC and autodetect... nothing works.

I have the phone since march 2015, only 3 months; all was perfect before this big issue: no software problems, battery duration was excellent (at least 1 full day), camera ok, both sim's detected and configured without issues, also no problems when wet my phonet.
When I plug my charger in a red light comes on but nothing else happens .

When my headphones are plugged in, the sound from the other person speaking comes out loudly from the phone, so everyone can hear it! This does not happen when the headphones are not connected. Then the sound just comes from the phone, and conversations are more quiet.

I have tried different headsets, earplugs and speakers, the problem is the same with all of them. I have tried looking at the settings, both on my phone and other applications. I have also googled it, and I have tried to restart my phone.  And I have checked if they really are inserted correctly. What I can do? I just want to hear my music in piece and keep my conversations for myself.

When listening to my music and an incoming call comes in, you cant hear the ringtone in my headset. The only time you hear it is when you press the button to accept the call for about 1 second.
