i seem to have done something to my settings which menas i cannot send any texts.I have recently transferred over my old number to this phone - could this be anything to do with it - althou I have sent texts since the number switch over?

It was working fine yesterday, but then out of nowhere it stopped working, I've been asking friends from different carriers, emails, etc to send me TXTs and MMS but I still can't receive them, I contacted my Network and they did OTA update, I even did it manually deleting the APN searching for the network etc. but same issue, I can send txts/mms but I can NOT receive them.

Get message warning of potential high costs, but even when accepting this, get message saying you can't turn on Data Roaming when outside your home network. Is this the problem? Do you need to turn on Data Roaming before you leave the UK in order to be able to send texts from abroad?

For other people, we chat with no problem. These are all people in the same country as me and mostly in the same city (the people I'm having problems texting are in the same city as me). View 2 Replies View RelatedShortly after I purchased my Xperia Play (Verizon) I did the update and everything was fine (2.3.3). Now when I try to take pictures they only show up with a green tint kind of like having night vision. It's doing this for both the front and rear facing cameras. It shows up in the preview as well.Also, when I try to send out texts it only says "Sending" they never get sent, but I can receive texts any time. I've been contemplating doing a restore to it but I don't want to waste my time if it doesn't fix anything and I definitely don't want to go through installing everything again.

Couldn't afford £9 a month insurance, but kind of wish I had done now.Can receive but cant send any texts any more. All texts try to send 3 or 4 times before failing. I've already taken out the battery twice and I know it has nothing to do with the signal or anything like that because I have full bars but I only have 1x, which I normally ever have in my house. I have an iPhone 3GS, and since I upgraded to iOS5 it won't send text messages! I have plenty of service, but I can't send texts. The bar will get close to the end, but never say "message sent". I've rebooted and reset everything already multiple times and it STILL won't work. I turned off my 3G and it STILL won't work. It never did this until I upgraded the software.
