4s will not send texts to non-4s users and it will only send texts to other iPhone users if iMessage is turned on, otherwise it doesn't send texts at all. How do I fix this?How did you remedy it?

So I picked up my S5 Friday, upgraded from iPhone 4S. I traded in my iPhone for the phone, and reset my iPhone to factory settings before doing so. I love my new phone, but I can't get any texts from iPhone users. iPhone users get my texts, but I don't get any from them. I know this probably has to do with their phones still trying to send my number iMessages instead of texts. I don't have the box or anything from my iPhone to get the serial number from it.

My step-mom and sister that have iPhones can't text me, but my father and other sister who do not have iPhones can send to me. We are all on Verizon. I have had a number of friends with iPhones (likely on Verizon) tell me the same thing - that I don't get their messages. I can text all of them and they can respond to my texts, however if they are originated by the iPhone user on Verizon I will not receive.

I can text non iphone users, but not iphone users...just strated. Turned off imessage and now it's working. Shouldn't have to do that.

Okay so I just got this phone 2 days ago and everything works fine except this. I can't send or receive any photos from iPhone users. My number isn't being used with imessage and I can get photos from other people but anyone with an iPhone I can only send texts.

I have a unmodified Nexus 6P on VZW. Certain IPhone users cannot receive SMS from me through messenger. The SMS just sits in 'Sending...' status indefinitely.
Reset the APNs to default and restarted the phone multiple times. It fixed my wife (iphone) receiving SMS from me but others still nothing.

I can send pictures and videos to most people. Recently I continue to get a red not delivered whenever I send pictures or video to 2 other iMessage users. I can send them text messages, just not photos or videos and only to the two other people. Do you think the problem is with my phone or theirs?

I haqve just moved to Tenerife and got a movistar sim. I can receive calls and texts but cant send texts. I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". I simply cannot send picture messages to non iPhone users. I do not want to jailbreak my phone and it is what H20 offered to do for me. I was told I could unlock my phone but after reading up on it - it looks like I still might not be able to send pics to non iPhone users. Yes I have tried turning off the mms thing and no it does not work. I have also tried sending something over wifi and still nothing.Â

I have restored my iPhone in both standard and DFU mode while setting up a new iPhone everytime still no luck. I have tried the sim card in another iPhone and the sim card works perfectly fine.
I have full bars, on t-mobile which the phone is locked to.
The mobile internet works absolutely fine. When i try ringing 150 it disconnects straight away saying "call ended" I have not tried another sim card in the phone.
