Apr 9, 2012I have the 4s and am on the Verizon network in northeast Ohio. My step-mom and sister that have iPhones can't text me, but my father and other sister who do not have iPhones can send to me. We are all on Verizon. I have had a number of friends with iPhones (likely on Verizon) tell me the same thing - that I don't get their messages. I can text all of them and they can respond to my texts, however if they are originated by the iPhone user on Verizon I will not receive.

Apr 14, 2014So I picked up my S5 Friday, upgraded from iPhone 4S. I traded in my iPhone for the phone, and reset my iPhone to factory settings before doing so. I love my new phone, but I can't get any texts from iPhone users. iPhone users get my texts, but I don't get any from them. I know this probably has to do with their phones still trying to send my number iMessages instead of texts. I don't have the box or anything from my iPhone to get the serial number from it.

Mar 31, 2015I have not had any trouble sending text just receiving them. I have only been notified by one person using an android that they had sent a text which I did not receive. All other text issues have been sent from iphones which my children have. I contacted Straight Talk which is my carrier and they told me that if I could send a text to myself and receive it then it was not my phone. I had a Samsung Proclaim previously and did not have any trouble. I have sent a text to myself as Straight Talk suggested and I received it fine. Both phones were/or are on the Straight Talk plan using verizon towers.

I am still not receiving text from iPhone users. I need to know what else to do. If no other choice I will have to return the phone.

Oct 11, 2015I had an iPhone 5 and dumped it to hop on the S6 train. However, I was receiving group messages from other iPhone users on iMessage prior. I disabled iMessage before I switched, had AT&T update the system and I still can't receive group messages and images from other iPhone users.

LG G3 :: Unable To Consistently Receive Group Messages From IPhone Users
Jun 12, 2015I recently switched from an iphone 4 to an LG G3 and have been unable to consistently receive group messages from iphone users. Sometimes messages will come through, but about 95% of the time I do not receive them; however, the people in my group do receive my messages. I am aware that this is a common issue among Android users, and I have read about it extensively online for weeks now, but I still have not come up with a solution. I have tried using multiple different messaging apps including the default messaging app, chomp sms, textra, hangouts, etc. I have also turned off imessages on my old phone, typed in the code for Apples "unsubscribe" from imessage thing, and texted STOP to the number to disable imessages.
I am running the latest version of Android. I also replaced my old SIM but still no luck. MMS group message settings are all enabled on my phone too. I didn't see a post about this in regards to the LG G3 specifically so I decided to make one. I have heard suggestions of people saying to tell your iphone friends to adjust settings on their phones, but I wanted to find a solution without having to tell all of my friends to mess with their settings to accommodate me. I absolutely love everything about my new android phone after making the switch from Apple, but this one problem is seemingly large that I hope it doesn't force me to go back to an iphone.

Apr 15, 2012My iPhone 4S has been working on and off for as long as I've had it. There are times when I can't make or receive calls or send or receive texts.When I attempt to make a call, it never rings and when I try to end these calls, it doesn't register that the call has ended. People receive these calls but when they answer, there is silence. If people call me, I don't get any notification of this.
When I send texts, the loading bar at the top of the page never reaches the end - the same things happens: people receive the texts but when they reply it never reaches me.I have replaced the phone and it did t make a difference. I am with Vodafone and I'm always in full reception when this happens.When I connect to wifi, the text messages (but not missed calls) come through.

Jun 18, 2012I have an iPhone with sprint, and it has worked more than amazingly prior to this. It wasn't until last night around 12am that this started. I have had the phone for 4 to 5 months now. The bars in the top left are flat and occasionally one will pop up. I can t make calls and texts are slow to or just don't send at all. I was messing around on my download app in the browser and it closed and then thu problem arises. I have deleted the app even turned on and off my phone several times and turned airplane mode on and off several times. Please help:/ this is not an issue with location, and everytime I make calls it just says "calling mobile..."

I have tried to resend the service books but it wont allow me saying "your device had a problem connecting to the server". When i try send a text it says "requested facility not implented". May 30, 2012There is something seriously wrong with my phone, I can call people and text people but I can't be called or texted except by my operator. I essentially have the worlds most expensive ipod touch, I have reset network settings. It is a 4S not that that makes a difference.

Apr 3, 2012I have restored my iPhone in both standard and DFU mode while setting up a new iPhone everytime still no luck. I have tried the sim card in another iPhone and the sim card works perfectly fine.
I have full bars, on t-mobile which the phone is locked to.
The mobile internet works absolutely fine. When i try ringing 150 it disconnects straight away saying "call ended" I have not tried another sim card in the phone.

Jun 2, 2012I purchased an iPhone 4 refurbished for £119 from an OOW replacement and was told i would have a 90 day warranty. 14 days on, and I am having an error which says 'Unable to recieve calls and texts please restore' or something similar, and then the service goes. I have been on My Support Profile, and it says my warranty has expired, im not the best at maths but im ppretty sure my warranty is due to expire in roughly 76 days. However every time i have restored it has been via back up, is setting up as new Phone likely to fix the issue? I am very upset about this and want to know if the phone keeps faulting and I take the reciept i recieved via email after the service with me will they give me yet another replacement? PS I have restored 3 times now.
