now the chrome paint of the button has started to come out it gives a rusty look to the phone
even the volume up nd volume down key the paint has come off the back button, home button,nd menu button also the paint has come off
i always keep the phone in the cover. the buttons r not made of iron so how it is rusting
Found some old phones that i had, 3x W800 and 4x K750i. Basically they are in good condition but i just feel like painting them all in different colours so i could make good profit in selling them since these phones are old now.

View 2 Replies View RelatedSo far just 4 keys have shown this problem, including the space bar.The bad news is that when the black paint starts to goes, the white plastic underneath is illuminated from below and the keys are difficult to read. I think it may be that the keyboard paint was damaged by some suntan cream when I was abroad.(I have heard of sun cream doing this to the paint in car interiors.)
Does anyone know if the keyboard is user-replaceable without a lot of brain surgery on the phone?Is a workshop manual available online? Is the keyboard a cheap part?
As I was talking on my relatively new Bold 9700 it just completely died! The battery was charged but the screen and everything just went black. It will not power on. I have removed the battery and put it back in and the only response to that it the red LED light coming on for a few minutes then coming off.

When I recieve a text from one of my contacts the number that is displayed is a combination of two numbers from my contacts. It doesn't come up with their names, just their phone numbers seperated by a semicolon. Then when I reply to the message it will go to the first number of the two and not to the person who sent the message in the first place. I believe that this happened when I sent a text message a little while ago with both of these contacts as recipients, however I now cannot seperate these 2 contacts. I have tried deleting all the texts and contacts, however as soon as I get a new text from this contact it shows as both numbers again. The only way I can reply to this contact is to remember to start a new message, otherwise it will go to the wrong person. I have searched on the internet and found a few other people with is issue on an xperia phone
my x10 backlight keeps coming on every minute when charging. I've noticed it happens when the battery is charged at 99%. The backlight will go out and come back on in exactly one minute. Wi-Fi,Bluetooth, GPS, Sync, everything is off.

The Notification menu which comes down from the top keeps coming down all the time. When I am texting, viewing pictures, browsing my phonebook etc., and it stops me from using the phone how I want to use the phone. no matter where i touch on the screen it pops up. I have done the following with no avail:
I have upgraded the firmware. (this problem happened before and still continues after upgrade)I have turned the phone on and off countless times.I have locked the phone and unlocked it numerous times hoping it will go away...it doesn't. The phone has not been dropped or damaged in anyway - it is only 2 months old.
I jsut observed that the capacitive buttons on my xperia ray does not light up the way they do on my xperia mini pro.
